Another great update Andrew. Good to see you drilling a crop to take up some moisture in some of your land. Looks like you did a good job of hosting the farm tour, shame about the wet weather, but good to see a good turn out even if some people didn't turn up. Looking forward to Sundays update.
Cracking video again Andrew. And wow what a farm drive that is down to Dysons farm very impressive. Glad to see your getting some field work down, good to have a group round sometimes let’s people see what’s going on, on your farm and can’t beat a good hog roast. 😊
I love the way all the technology has made your life so much simpler, accurate and cost effective. I guess the upfront costs are more, but the yields will be more predictable.
We were in Inverness last week and what struck me was how good the OSR looked between Aberdeen and Inverness.. such a difference to home in Wales and England.. As always a Great video Andrew👍
They do have a great set up and I know most of the board and management team but James Dyson is very protective of everything and has his own farm media team. I’ll ask them next time I’m with one of them.
Smashing update! Can’t wait to see the beans going in on Sunday! It has been incredibly soggy this week! We’re heading for more of the same over the bank holiday I think!
Not familiar with Capulet Beans so very interesting. It is hard to believe that all of the beans that the UK uses is brought in and not grown in the UK. Glad that you are growing the Capulet bean.
Should have flown over North Norfolk . Many crops are looking really well . Even with the amount of rain here . I think” some “ farmers “bailed” out too quickly . What’s wrong with harvesting in the Autumn . Scotland does for instance . We need food not flowers .
The soil in Norfolk isn’t 55% clay. Our crops look good from the ground but you have to above them to see they’re not. Harvesting in the autumn is ok on some soils but on difficult clays it doesn’t give you time to cultivate, leave for the weather to work its magic a few weeks, germinate blackgrass and spray with round up and then drill in good conditions.
Andrew got to give you a bit of an earful I'm afraid....you are off galivanting in Europe every 5 minutes and good old Skegness up the road from you ...could ride there you and the wife on push bikes and spend a week in a Bed and breakfast...Lincolnshire sausage for breakfast steak and ale pie for dinner come on support the good old British hospitality industry😂🤣
Another very interesting video, thank you Andrew. Those crops you filmed from the as air don’t look good at all, all in all doesn’t bode well for harvest.
I'd leave all the paddles on the mixer, concrete mixers use a folding action to make mortar. You might need to adjust the edge scraper so flour doesn't get stuck to the edge
Looks like a lovely day out,
A lot of work getting it all together
Thanks for showing use

I really enjoy hosting things like that. The buzz and chat is unreal and so beneficial for everyone,
@@WardysWaffleAndrewWard yes I can imagine it is a great evening.

That’s about it, the costs are unreal but benefits sometimes difficult to quantify
Drove past your farm today it looks lovely I was on the way back from Tattershall lakes
Thank you. Tattershall lakes are great,
Re the plane footage... Every few weeks flying in and out of Bristol, much the same; very poor winter crops.
Great update as always.
Great update people just do not realise what it takes to get food on the table
That’s how to make a small fortune out of farming is it not? start with a big fortune and keep spending well done Dyson farms !
Great update Andrew, we had over 30mm of rain in some areas. Dyson farm looks great , and the crops were looking good.
😊👍
We were in Inverness last week and what struck me was how good the OSR looked between Aberdeen and Inverness.. such a difference to home in Wales and England..

Another good update. Any chance of a Waffle showing what Dyson farms are doing they look to have an impressive set up.

Not good most of next week.

We are going to catch a train from Ancaster to Skeg, have fish and chips and come home on the train, been in about it for ages!
Evening Andrew, have you noticed that British 🇬🇧 Silver Spoon Sugar is now in Blue Bags ? 🤔
Most confusing in my Local Tesco's a few weeks ago.
I’ve not, will have a look.
Cover crops will hit the ground running , hopefully you get them rolled before the rain. We've had 45mm since wednesday morning to Thursday evening.
That’s too much rain. 😳
How much rain have you had Wednesday and Thursday ? Seen some pictures of spring crops washed out in Cumbria.
24mm but it was that really fine, wet rain.
Weather looking very Birtish !!?? Have you ever tested the drain water to see how much N P K running off the farm
I haven’t, would be interesting.
Another very interesting video, thank you Andrew. Those crops you filmed from the as air don’t look good at all, all in all doesn’t bode well for harvest.
Going to be a very poor year
Did Michael from GCS not do you a deal on hiring two tractors
He’s more than 10 mins away!
Was he you relation or was you after a bigger portion of pie,😅
😂😂 A relation from my father’s side.
I'd leave all the paddles on the mixer, concrete mixers use a folding action to make mortar. You might need to adjust the edge scraper so flour doesn't get stuck to the edge
Are you meaning to reply to Olly?!
Yes absolutely no idea how this ended up here
@whitman55 😂😂 I was talking to him a couple of days ago about it, that’s how I thought you’d got mixed up!!
Goodness you are suffering from the wet in a big way. Seem to be all over Europe. Hopefully grain prices will reflect the scarcity
They have moved up a fair bit.
There is none so blind as thosr that cannot see!!!!!!!
