Known as the McLandCruiser here in the USA, we would have preferred the actual Landcruiser 300GRS to be imported here... but most would complain about the high price. A LC300 GRS would MSRP at like 130k if imported to the USA 🇺🇸
100% worth the cost!
Especially the 1958
Thanks, Mark! It looks great!
I'm thinking about getting one of those as a second vehicle.. THEY have several at the Toyota dealership. I looked at one that color.. it was around 76,000. I need to do some more checking on that four-cylinder turbo before I make the plunge.. 🤔
Great review MARK. Mark is becoming my favorite RUclips vehicle reviewer. Definitely the best Tundra reviewer.
I have the same one coming hopefully next week. Can't wait
First edition Land Cruiser in trail dust
I’m excited for you! Keep me updated
@@TundraDude34 will do
Congratulations. Great vehicle.
@@RCFTE thank you sir
I'm enjoying my 2023 Tundra Limited Hybrid I-Force Max. Do you think Toyota will increase Tundra prices to cover costs of the new engines they are giving?
Wicked colour! Almost $100k here in Canada.
I just got done driving a 2008 LC for 1400 miles around Alaska. I'd prefer that over this I think, the 5.7L really makes that older LC move quick and it was a comfortable ride. I'd consider one of these new ones after a few years of data on the new motor and when they'll be available used.
Stepped rear window is horrible, too steep front window, make sure that rear wiper is down before closing rear window or you break something, etc ... pass. Sticking with my Prado J150 3.0L TD from 2012. Last of the best 😊
Great review!
I had a chance to buy the blue first edition but its power train did not impress me. It was ok but it didn’t have the character my 4Runner has. Beautiful on the outside but the lack of cargo room was a killer. 4Runner has better cargo capacity
I have a White 1958 on reserve, it should arrive at my dealership in a few months.
Congrats!
I know a lot of people consider the tundra ugly but I love it. The land cruiser is butt ugly hands down. That color doesn't help either.
$77G and a Turbo 4, not a chance!
Great video. Using the Landcruiser like a pickup truck, might not be very practical; as the hybrid system limits the cargo weight to 150 lbs. It's really a limiting factor for the functionality of an, otherwise, incredible vehicle
Where did you get this figure? Cargo capacity is about 1700#
@@DG-uu9bz sorry, I'm not referring to gross weight; I'm referring to the weight allowed behind the rear seats, on top of the battery pack
@@Happyguy-c6j I see. But that literally means don't put 150 pounds centered over the 6" wide storage area. Which would be hard to do anyway. I am so on the fence about the LC. I've always wanted one, because of the legendary reliability. But they are so darn bland or sterile overall, like most Japanese cars. Very very competent and capable, just don't inspire any kind of emotion in me. Which makes it hard to spend $70,000 on one, lol.
@@DG-uu9bz it just seems like it would be pretty easy to go over 150lbs, especially if you are over landing; hell, my dog weighs 125lbs. I had a 100 series for 21 years; and, I have hauled a lot of stuff in it. I never had to worry about fragile plastic and a hybrid system underneath the load floor. I can definitely appreciate the fuel economy of the new one
@@Happyguy-c6j worst case you break the storage cover I guess but I still say it would be hard to have 150# of anything that was sitting solely on the 6” cover. For real overlanding, I’d go with a Grenadier. Literally everything seems more robust, and bigger, on it. With both of course reliability has not been proven so there’s that.
Gas mileage sucks for being a hybrid 4 cylinder!
Worth every penny. Great vehicle and extremely well built.
Great video! Your video was definitely in depth and made me appreciate the vehicle more, but it is going to be many years before I can trust a small twin turbo motor with a hybrid system. I currently have a 2016 Land Cruiser I bought a few years ago, and one of the appealing things for me is how simplistic the vehicle is. I feel this one looks over complex and when I think about long-term costs and maintenance costs it looks to me as if it is going to cost a lot of money to keep this vehicle on the road long-term.
I have 139,770'ish miles on mine right now and outside of maintenance it has cost me zero dollars. I hope I am wrong. Anyway, great video I watched from beginning to end.
No thanks!
Time to do an oil change
It’s not worth the price. U get half of a bbq x5
I feel the interior is underwhelming
Really? Oh man I cant get enough of it
