Nice to see the split screen! I've rented the m50 in game and it was incredibly responsive and fast, just an absolutely great flight model for zooming around stations and asteroids. Haven't tried much of racing myself, might have to give it a go
Some tips: Set your engine power to max. Use boost more, you can force your heading indicator with it. Try to do Loreville with NAV/Decouple, you'll get much faster times and it'll force you to learn the ships more indepth. You'll be able to cut a good time even in a 400i. Out of your listed ones, I'd say learn in the Fury, it's almost effortless to fly since it can just cancel inertia with a quick retroboost. Interested in seeing your next videos!
The only ship of those four I haven't flown is the Fury LX. Of the three I've flown I prefer the M50, personally. If I were to race a different ship, it would be the Razor -- not the Razor LX, nor the Razor EX, but the "base" Razor. For _me personally_ it handles better than the LX. What I'd like from CIG are a bunch of new paints for the racing ships to make race days more of a spectacle. It's not a necessity compared to all the other things CIG needs to accomplish, but it would be nice.
They just forgot to give the Razor LX any special stats. It's supposed to be the variant or even general racing ship with the fastest boost speed. For some reason the Razor LX has the weakest acceleration of the three and only downsides to it other than being able to equip 2 shield generators instead of 1.
Also worth checking spviewer for comparisons like this, as it has G-force and thrust charts, which Erkul does not. For example, the Razor and M50 look very similar on paper according to erkul, but spviewer will show you that the M50 actually has rather higher G-acceleration on most axis.
Racing is just great. Works with each ship and mostly no bugs. Besides it trains flight skills for everyday use. Unfortunately, your fps seems sometimes to be quite low and some better hardware might be on your wishlist :-) . For racing, 40fps should be minimum.
Well - the frames seemed to drop when I had OBS on. It's normally at least 30. I'm currently running a RTX4070, 64 gb ddr5 ram, and a Ryzen 9-8945HS. The lower frames definitely weren't typical.. and I notice frames are def lower on the PTU servers than the PU servers.
Yeah - there's definitely a LOT of room for improvement in the optimization department. Here's hoping that 2025 is the year they make some good progress in that regard.

Cig could also optimize a tiny bit more as well. I used to run great on radar valley but lately it's been so laggy for me

Last I checked about 6 months ago the Merlin had better handling in atmo than than Archimedes, and vice versa in space

I do too. I think they look the best out of all the ships I used. My issue is the price point.
