Hi John, great question and a bit difficult to answer without seeing the saddle as there are a few different ones. You have the raised middle section and then it tapers each end. Some of mine face with the slope towards the sound hole and some have the slope the other way towards the bottom of the instrument. I know this isn’t very helpful but maybe try it and see if you have any issues afterwards and if you do, turn it the other way. Give me a shout if it doesn’t work out. 👍
