That's right. And you can see examples of phones worth 100-200$ in which you can still record 4k, have 21MP sensor and 2k display like the elephone s8 instead of paying 600-1200$ like a moron for not using it.

Had my X all day now and color me impressed. I really hated the idea of losing touch ID, but honestly the face ID works incredibly well and the phone is so amazingly fast and the OS so fluid with the gesture controls it took me all of maybe an hour or two before I didn't care about touch ID not being there. Really loving this thing so far, it just runs soo well (and that coming from an iPhone 7 Plus owner, so not coming from old hardware). Apple gets an A+ so far, this really was a worthwhile update.
Awesome tear down video. I’ve had the iPhone X for almost a full day now and am really enjoying learning a new way to interact with my phone. The gestures, FaceID unlock and new camera features are lots of fun. Great seeing all the tech packed into this beautiful new design

Alright I need to explain this and copy and paste it into a few videos because people just can't seem to grasp it.
Samsung and Apple are both good (yes it's possible) since the specs are almost the same it's really up to preference and what you like better. Apple is definitely a more designer type phone more expensive, better design and organization, has its own apps and doesn't need third party stuff which makes it premium. It has I movie, garage band, IOS (instead of android which isn't only limited to Samsung), safari, iTunes, AppStore, and time machine and has its own charger design instead of a micro USB. This creates a very easy and organized system making is very easy to access everything and it looks awesome at the base of your fingertips. It also has the aww factor, people know what Apple is and that it costs money so it's like wearing a Gucci or Supreme where your paying a lot for the logo as well but people are willing to do that because it looks premium and shows high class.
Not being a Samsung user I can't tell you everything about it but I would say this is for the tech enthusiasts who love customization and being able to change everything and everything is much easier to hack and have fun with. It's a great brand that creates great phones the screens in my opinion beats the iPhones in a long shot.
Point of this is the iPhone X isn't just a $1000 animoji machine. It's an edge to edge oled screen with 3D scanning face id and a great camera and a fast a11 bionic chip. You can like both phones or either but stop trying to call people isheep or brainwashed just because they are willing to pay more for a premium product. $1000 is to much in my opinion but like they say it's worth how much your willing to buy it for and it's sold out so 🤷♂️

When it comes to repairing an iPhone, I just love to look at the layout inside them for a minute or two. Hopefully I'll come across this to look inside at in person one day.

That cable management and connections are so neat!
For what it's worth, it's 450ppi, but with a diamond pentile arrangement, so the red and blue subpixels have 2/3rds that number, while green subpixels have the full ppi.

hey don't you want to take a detailed look on the 'folded oled' as apple says in their keynote? i remember they said 'the display is folded for the seamless design' or something.
Looks well thought out and very clean. I dig the "3d" pcb thing they got goin on.
Very curious to know if the screen actually curves or folds over like in the presentation.

I was actually wondering about the inside of the iPhone X. Cause there’s 3 speaker lines two on the bottom where the lighting port is and one at the top where you put to you ear. Cause no sound was coming through to the bottom left side of the lighting port of where the speaker is usually is. The right and top are working as a audio for sound like music. Didn’t know the left speaker was not a speaker that was just a Taptic engine. Thanks for the video.
Very happy with mine, it was just almost impossible to find one on release date.
Just got mine in the mail today, I must say that it is pretty. I got the 256 silver and the construction of it is beautiful and it’s a bit heavier than the 7 plus. The screen is very nice and I like that app developers already have been updating their apps. I have no complaints so far, just getting used to the gestures.

It is undeniable yours preference for the apple phone over the samsung one. The X model is just more difficult to open and repair than the S's series, not modular, glue everywhere.... but still had a superior grade in repairability....

Even inside is so neat...Apple is crazy.
Its interesting to see this highly proprietary internal design. I've never seen so many ribbon cables. Compared to the highly modular and comparably ribbon-less design of LG's G6 and V30, I think LG's use of contact points for its internal I beam is much better.

HOW DO YOU REMOVE THE CAMERA BUMP, i got a replacement but I have to remove the bump to put the new one in that has the glass already attached.

One question for iFixit. I repair Apple logicboard for living, and i'm wondering if is possible to join back two half of this board after desoldering it. I have noticed that you had to heat whole board to separate it, because there is some elements moved from original location. You have never got this iPhone X to work again isn't it? It's toasted. Please reply.

Those internals are a OCD heaven!
Back glass is the cash cow (along with buying a decent charger of course). Even with Apple care, it's still obscene pricing to replace.
