Simple. It makes swapping to a used chassis from a donor impossible. The button has a chip with a serial number on it and the firmware will not accept this swap.

Not an issue if you are using OEM parts ordered directly from Apple as those come with that component pre-installed. If you can successfully disassemble the rest of the phone as well as the video guy does, this should not be a difficult task. But it does have a fair bit of adhesive holding it to the screen, so use heat, rubbing alcohol and care.
