This game definitely exponentially increase the rate you can get better (Depending on how long you spend on it), but you gotta keep in mind that you can't just pick it up and shred without practice. I think learning a ton of easy songs is the best way to go about increasing skill, you can't be a master of guitar if you leave out entire genres

But the rock band chart is a fucking bitch. I've been grinding that section for hours a day and I still choke it. Not like the rock band guitars are any good anyways, they just don't feel good when tapping or strumming fast.

Yeah Hand of Blood was a good choice. I personally think that Heart Burst into Fire was the best choice. But those damn chords are killing my tiny hands!

Ya I was gonna download this song but fuck that. Rythm it is. I been playing guitar for years to realize rythm is wesr it's at with the heavy riffs and it's more doable
I like the lead parts better so I just learned the rhythm to the solo and just play that when it starts so I can still play the rest of the song the way I learned it in the first place

Im having trouble with latency, got a sound bar and optical cable but its still a noticeable delay.any tips ?
I use the standard A/V cables and run my sound through them(the red and white cables) to a speaker tower i have and keep the video on hdmi. It's dead on.

Where do you get those awesome song DLCs? I am in the UK and I have Rocksmith 2014 but there are only 3 about 10 songs and this is definitely not one of them.

I´m fairly new to playing guitar so maybe someone can help me out: Whenever im trying tapping either the game doesnt register the sound or you can barely hear it. Dont really know what I´m doing, help is appreciated.
Tapping is simply a series of hammer-ons and offs. Just play the notes like you would a hammer-on. Maybe you're pressing down on the fret too hard. It doesn't take too much.
You might not be tapping hard enough or you might have crappy pickups. Also using the bridge pickup seems to work better than using the top one

how long did it take for you to be able to play a song like this?

It usually helps to make sure you start from a neutral position, as far as I can tell. If you're pre-bending even a little bit, it won't count it.
Does Rocksmith now show pick scrapes? That's pretty cool.

MiniFridge No, that's definitely a pick scrape. They didn't chart them in past DLCs (ADTR).
Riff Repeater Its a pick scrape, but you didn't do that, you done a slide by pressing down with the pick....sounded like shit. Learn the technique properly!

+Riff Repeater old but when you do the pick slide(not scrape, the music video shows its a slide) its done from the bridge to the 12 fret or depending on your guitar it can be just the bridge to where the neck starts

you seem to just trill the string rather than alternate pick especially at start of solo can hear lots of scratching and extra bummed notes
Elison isn't really a metal guitarist, we just post these videos for people to see the chart and this is most likely the 3rd or 4th time he ever tried playing it.

No he definitely was playing guitar waaaaaay before this game came out. I'm almost certain of that.
Rocksmith cannot make u this good. It teaches basics to get you started. You may be able to play some songs but once u play on an amp u can hear all of your mistakes. Practice that goes beyond this game is needed and techniques through RUclips video or people

Mate, he was down picking when it was right ;) Most of the song is galloping, not just down picking. But yeah, maybe it's me but i can see him struggling with picking. Too much arm work, lack of wrist working.
