Whenever you deal combat damage to a player triggers totally counts as being run over! The submarine has a specific run over grandma scenario built in.
Sure trampling is running over something, but getting ran over by a reindeer in a vehicle is a significantly more funny idea than grandma just getting trampled by reindeer.
I know! What was he thinking!!! He almost could have saved it by activating Yurlok in response to rakdos charm but as Josh Kim's lands had untapped he could use the Yurlok mana too!!!
I believe that the effect of Apothecary would prevent one damage on that turn yet. Jimmy wanted to kill it with the rakdos charm, but he forget the apothecary would untap again.
the apothecary would have still blocked 1 of the damage (since it had only blocked 1 squirrel damage) so he would have lived with 1 in that case right?
@@SnakeTyrant naw he still dies from taking a extra dmg from mana burn that turn. It would have prevented one but he was 1 minus the number of creatures he had anyway. So it’s exactsies

@@XragebootsX In the game, he went down to 1 thanks to the second activation of his Cleric. He would have died if Jimmy had used it on his turn. (Also I'm not sure that's how the cleric's ability works, but even if it does work like that, it wouldn't save him)
@@SandsBuisle as someone who plays old school clerics a lot "prevent the next x damage" would apply to damage from any source(s) until end of turn. So both of you are correct. Josh Kim would have died (9 damage dealt at 8 life), but yes, the cleric would still prevent 1 of those damage. Josh Lee would have lived through Rakdos because of the Caribou sac, then died to mana burn, same deal. Though frankly I'm not certain the order in which the mana burn damage would be dealt if Jimmy also lacked an outlet... Definitely one of the coolest wins that didn't happen on this show in my opinion.
Josh would've survived until his turn anyways and Jimmy would've survived and had to activate his commander to kill everyone so it would've been a draw.

My playgroup consist of 2 rakdos players and since I am known by them for huge token plays with some of my decks. They play the charm as a standard against me. Same is true with graveyard hate (they say you never cast a card only once, it looks your deck always have 3 copies instead of 1)

Flavor episodes are by far my favorite! Great video. They are much more interesting and fun to watch than a standard EDH video, each deck is way more unique than otherwise. You get to see awesome (sub-optimal) cards instead of blue/red staple #32.

@@Dragon_Fyre stealing deck will depend on the things you can steal so it is powerful only in board where everyone playing meta deck, in casual play it will not be as much powerful. you can still build steal deck with lower power
