I swear Joel spoke so much and ate in slow motion throughout this video and still finished comfortably way before the other guy. It's amazing to watch!
Yea, I almost felt like he was talking too much. He was stalling so that he didn’t completely leave the other dude in the dust. He does that often when he eats with other people.
I've lived with a eating disorder my whole life, and i always watch your videos when i have to eat, it helps alot. And actually gained some weight aswell! Thank you alot :)
Yo, cheers for that message because I'm the same way as it helps me eat. I am on meds for some chronic injuries that temper my appetite and I love these vids that make me want to eat lol. They really help. Hope you are getting back to the healthy weight you aim for!
I think what I like most about Joel compared to other competitive eaters is that he actually enjoys the food, talks about it and tells us how good it is, and compliments the chef/s when they deserve it. And if the food is bad, well...Joel isn't rude. He just won't say ANYTHING! Lol! 😁 Any restaurant would be lucky to have this man as a guest. And in most cases, the owner/s should be prepared for a HUGE business increase! Way to go Joel! I don't know where you put it son! Lol!! 😘
I keep meaning to leave some appreciative words and keep neglecting to make time. Honestly, you're such a personable dude that you turn jealousy on its head; and it's like we're all tasting the food second hand through you! Living your best life Joel, puts a smile on my heart
I’ve watched numerous pro eaters, not sure why it’s so entertaining to watch, but Joel has never failed to impress me 🎉 cheers fam it’s wild what u are capable… Today seemed like a walk in the park with your eyes closed ✅🥳
I like how they both ate slow and enjoyed the food. A lot of pro eaters race thru everything without ever tasting the food, which I consider insulting to the cooks/ chefs who prepare the meal. Joel is always a class act and one of the most enjoyable to watch. We get to learn about the restaurants and get commentary on all the amazing food.
Yer always honest, respectful, n u can't forget HANDSOME😂 long as u make yer vids, I'll be watchin', yer an inspiration to even those who have no hope. We all love u, truly....
I’m not sure what it is about eating videos, but I started with Matt Stonie (ABSOLUTE LEGEND) and now I have gravitated towards your videos! ❤️Love the content man!! Keep grinding hope life is blessed!!
Yong did well to keep up.. that steak looks delicious and I’ve enjoyed a tomahawk of the same size a few times myself it is certainly one of my favourites…. And yes us Brit’s do like a grilled or fried tomato lol
If someone asked me "if you weren't American but had to be British or Italian which would u be?" I'd say British, only because I feel Italians are kinda fussy and as a man too feminine. I do love Enzo/Ferrari but im more of an Aston Martin and McLaren fan...plus Italy has to many food rules to live by.
Hey Joel, it’s great to see you in Thailand. I am in Thailand also in Pattaya there is a big English breakfast challenge here. I’m not sure if you’re planning on coming down here at all whether or not you do enjoy your time here. This is the place to be.
Last night I ate a 3.25lb steak, baked potato, 1lb of shrimp, asparagus and 2 slices of cheesecake. Normally don't do that but said I could and did it. Late breakfast the next day, lol
Beautiful meal, but I think they should be upping the quantity to make it a challenge. I feel like they are almost giving it away, it's so high quality and I feel like I could eat it as a nowhere 'big eater'. Joel could probably eat 4-5x of these haha.
The video with the suckling pigs with these two together was really good too!!! That's a ton of food I sure couldn't do it. You're awesome Joel. Well you both are. I could probably eat maybe one pound of food altogether..... That's all day!!!
If I owned a restaurant and saw this man coming, I'd cry hard 😭. He can really put food away . I used to think I was good at competitive eating but ... nor really.
in my opinion (which is mine, you and your viewers are entitled to theirs): If you need to add salt as well as spice to your meat, it was presented bland to you. All salvageable by adding salt and spice, but for 95 bucks (and change) it really ought to have been salted and spiced to perfection to begin with.
It’s a thick cut so only the outside is spiced,it also has a high fat content which melts into the steak giving it a great flavor and taste. The salt and pepper is a preference. That Tomahawk was cooked perfectly and tasted spectacular! I guarantee!
That steak looked amazing but it looks like they didn't put enough salt on it for you. We all know you love your salt. I love when you travel and show us the rest of the world and their food.
With meat this size, you actually have to be conservative on the salt during preparation. It's so large that you would oversalt the outside before the interior has enough. The key is to use just enough to season the crust and let the customer grind pepper and salt at the table for dipping during the meal. The meat juice from the interior blends while you're eating this way.
It’s crazy how I can tell by the immediate tone in your reaction that determines whether something is just meh or omg delicious. Love your vids bro. I would kill to eat 1/10th of the things you’ve eaten in your life
I’ve watched Joel for a while and I know he technically lives in Canada but I can’t understand how he travels so much and still maintains a personal life. Love the videos and no hate just curious
Love your content, man! Medium rare, leaning to rare... no idea what would work best for you, though. Keep on doing what you do! Amazing to watch and love your positivity!
It's really hard to describe a Tomahawk. Ribeye's are my favorite cut , but the Tomahawk takes the ribeye to another level. Absolutely mouthwatering fantastic!
That looked deliciously tasty, plenty of flavors and that scenry holy moly. Cool spot for a eating challenge, have a beautiful weekend Joel and everybody
I completed a steak challenge on Kho Chang with same size steak and more sides but easily handled it, and the entire staff were amazed! lol First time I ate Australian beef and it was amazing! Looked pretty close to yours. Next time I am in BKK, I want to do the Pho challenge. Those beef ribs looked so good!
Tomahawk Steak and chill! My favorite cut of steak has to be Delmonico. The steakhouse near me that I grew up going to has great burgers and steaks. They have a 48oz steak where if you finish it, they would give you a voucher for a free one. 48oz Delmonico with a side of potatoes and a 40oz beer is in my top 5 largest meals.
This restaurant reminds me of Sam’s by the Sea in Okinawa Japan that I used to visit in the 80’s. It was so beautiful and the food was so delicious. My favorite steak is ribeye and porterhouse.
I would easily pay $94 for that meal set in that beautiful setting! All for the experience and delicious steak. Steak, baked potato, and a green salad is my favorite meal!
Is "WELL DONE" how you like your steak cooked? 🤔
Medium well..
Hell no medium rare
No way!!! Medium rare all day long.
Medium at the most
Medium rare please 😋
I swear Joel spoke so much and ate in slow motion throughout this video and still finished comfortably way before the other guy. It's amazing to watch!
I was saying this to my son then I said I think he could eat more. Looked like he wanted more.
Dudes not even a competition eater, no need to disparage him. He was enjoying his meal too
The other dude did great!
Yea, I almost felt like he was talking too much. He was stalling so that he didn’t completely leave the other dude in the dust. He does that often when he eats with other people.
I think the other guy is a fitness guy that's a big eater and does high calorie challenges (lucky guy!) But Joel is there as a speed eater.
I've lived with a eating disorder my whole life, and i always watch your videos when i have to eat, it helps alot.
And actually gained some weight aswell!
Thank you alot :)
When I first start watching I feel hungry but by the end of the video I’m not hungry anymore. Makes me feel full just watching lol
He helps me eat 2 🥳👏😭🌭🥞🤗
Best wishes and good health to you.❤
Yo, cheers for that message because I'm the same way as it helps me eat. I am on meds for some chronic injuries that temper my appetite and I love these vids that make me want to eat lol. They really help.
Hope you are getting back to the healthy weight you aim for!
Bless up, you got this! 💪🏾
The only challenge that Joel has done that I could do.
I was thinking the same! Looks like a normal meal to me.
@@lakota_stu He could have done that in 4 minutes......
That’s an app for Joel!!
Yep, definitely
I could do all his challenges and even be full
I think what I like most about Joel compared to other competitive eaters is that he actually enjoys the food, talks about it and tells us how good it is, and compliments the chef/s when they deserve it. And if the food is bad, well...Joel isn't rude. He just won't say ANYTHING! Lol! 😁 Any restaurant would be lucky to have this man as a guest. Joel not even breaking a sweat....his buddy 14 min in ... fighting for his life ...😅 Joel is like a food eating super hero.
I keep meaning to leave some appreciative words and keep neglecting to make time. Honestly, you're such a personable dude that you turn jealousy on its head; and it's like we're all tasting the food second hand through you! Living your best life Joel, puts a smile on my heart
I wouldn’t mind eating that one myself . It look delicious. Good job Joel as always, this one was a breeze for you . 😂
I’ve watched numerous pro eaters, not sure why it’s so entertaining to watch, but Joel has never failed to impress me 🎉 cheers fam it’s wild what u are capable…
Today seemed like a walk in the park with your eyes closed ✅🥳
Joel just filming his normal meal lol.
That's not his normal meal. He stays lean because he eats light when not doing food challenges.
I'm so proud of you right now Joel, you're learning there's no point of cleaning the gloves off you can just take off. 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Speed through that amount of food and the video would be 18 seconds. Obviously that doesn't bring much ad money
If they didn't want you to eat fast there'd not be a time limit.
I love that you are traveling. Meeting new friends and experiencing new things. So excited for you. ❤
I like how Joel always says something nice about everywhere he eats and visits. Very positive guy.
You’ve done some huge challenges recently that made this one look like a starter. Easy peasy for you. Well done xx
Joel is a humble gentleman, rare Quality in a human today
Beautiful place, delicious food. Wish I were there.
I just wish I could go😅
Dang this is like an Appetizer for Joel
Joel in the big leagues now. Must be nice.
That’s an appetizer for Joel.
Place and meal looks amazing. This kind of challenge seems like a light meal for Joel.
Love your videos brother, So much fun to watch.
This is one of those times when I feel just a little bit envious of your meal. 😋😍
Glad you came as you wished.
Yer always honest, respectful, n u can't forget HANDSOME😂 long as u make yer vids, I'll be watchin', yer an inspiration to even those who have no hope. We all love u, truly....

puttin on the ritz, love it!
Glad I´m not the only one recognizing the tune. 😀
Beautiful restaurant and settings. Amazing looking food. Go U!
Yong did well to keep up.. that steak looks delicious and I’ve enjoyed a tomahawk of the same size a few times myself it is certainly one of my favourites…. And yes us Brit’s do like a grilled or fried tomato lol

I do love Enzo/Ferrari but im more of an Aston Martin and McLaren fan...plus Italy has to many food rules to live by.
The food looks amazing!!!
I can appreciate all the descriptions of the flavors!
Your buddy had the meat sweats at the end lol.
This was a snack for Joel
Oh yummy don't know about eating this as a challenge I'd order it just to eat it😍 looks stellar.. travel well..much love.. respect 💙

I'm not sure why you are proud of being a glutton.
Joel does this for a living, not as a weird flex.
Beautiful meal, but I think they should be upping the quantity to make it a challenge. I feel like they are almost giving it away, it's so high quality and I feel like I could eat it as a nowhere 'big eater'. Joel could probably eat 4-5x of these haha.
You call that a food challenge. That’s like eating a McDonald’s happy meal
For him yes
The video with the suckling pigs with these two together was really good too!!! That's a ton of food I sure couldn't do it. You're awesome Joel. Well you both are. I could probably eat maybe one pound of food altogether..... That's all day!!!
That didn't even seem its a challenge
If I owned a restaurant and saw this man coming, I'd cry hard 😭. He can really put food away . I used to think I was good at competitive eating but ... nor really.
Love from Pakistan to the number 1 Competitive eater "Joel Hansen " ❤ first coment
I like this guy Joel did the challenge with. Seems like a great guy with a great personality! Good job Gentlemen!
Joel getting beefier and beefier 😂
Happy Sunday Morning 🌄☕🙋🏾♀️

100% agree!
True but i prefer it that way as opposed to something over seasoned there’s no going back
It’s a thick cut so only the outside is spiced,it also has a high fat content which melts into the steak giving it a great flavor and taste. The salt and pepper is a preference. That Tomahawk was cooked perfectly and tasted spectacular! I guarantee!
My issue is cutting into my steak period.
Joel you’re such a decent, standup guy. Love how stuff goes to your mouth not to your head♥️♥️👊🏾
The mouth-watering sight of a perfectly grilled steak made everyone’s mouths water in anticipation.
That steak looked amazing but it looks like they didn't put enough salt on it for you. We all know you love your salt. I love when you travel and show us the rest of the world and their food.

Joel as usual absolutely smashed it with ease 😂👍
What a beautiful view. Thankyou gentlemen.
This is probably the easiest food challenge for Joel. In Joel's mind, "I can do 3x of this challenge."
It’s crazy how I can tell by the immediate tone in your reaction that determines whether something is just meh or omg delicious. Love your vids bro. I would kill to eat 1/10th of the things you’ve eaten in your life
That “wheww” kill me everytime bruh 😂😂
Joel eating in slow motion for this one...😊
I have to watch all your videos. I just can’t explain it but I just have to.
That was just a appetizer for Joel 😂😂😂
When Joel eats the salad alone, i cant😂i won't be able to do that, personally i would eat the salad along with the meat so every bite is balanced
Great videos Joel, found you 1 month ago, very entertaining! Much love for you and stay safe!
Mmmm steak and roasted garlic! 💯 💯 💯
I saw the thumbnail and thought....hell, i could do that. Way to go Joel❤ this was not really a challenge more than it was just a delicious meal
Looked like a beautiful restaurant - food looked amazing - enjoyed the video
THAT LOOKED SO GOOD.
I HAD A PEANUTBUTTER AND JELLY SANDWICH FOR DINNER.
😂😂😂
This is the best steak dinner I have seen and absolutely I would try that challenge. He hit a home run on this one by far.😊🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Loving this !!!!!!! 😊😊😊 love how u do the dipping on salt thing, it looks banging 😋😋 x much love as always ❤❤
This shop is really amazing. Beautiful scenery and delicious food👍👍👍
It's really hard to describe a Tomahawk. Ribeye's are my favorite cut , but the Tomahawk takes the ribeye to another level. Absolutely mouthwatering fantastic!
Dream of mine when I retire to move to Thailand ❤ Beautiful venue, awesome looking food Joel! Thank you for this awesome video 😊
Glad your meeting some friends on your trip. Looks like a good time!
Puttin' on the ritz...all the way in Thailand! Steak looks delicious!!
Looks absolutely delicious!
I would try this challenge if I was in air conditioning.
I can’t eat it I’m hot, sweaty and miserable.
That looked deliciously tasty, plenty of flavors and that scenry holy moly.
Cool spot for a eating challenge, have a beautiful weekend Joel and everybody
I completed a steak challenge on Kho Chang with same size steak and more sides but easily handled it, and the entire staff were amazed! lol
First time I ate Australian beef and it was amazing! Looked pretty close to yours.
Next time I am in BKK, I want to do the Pho challenge. Those beef ribs looked so good!
Nice setup! Love seeing you in other countries. Good stuff Joel!
Love the Thai hospitality and happy go lucky nature. Aroy mak mak 🙏
I'm a big fan of you. It's such a pleasure to have dinner with you.
I appreciate you my friend! It was great seeing you again, and I look forward to doing many more videos together! Ka pun kob !
That was like an appetizer for Joel , I'm sure he could have done easily 4 of them❤❤
Tomahawk Steak and chill!
"THAT HEAVENLY GLOW" moment!
this is like a snack for joel
wow!!! Tomahawk in Thailand Very appetizing. The pieces are very large. The price of 3,500 is considered not expensive.
6:50 “This is a nice restaurant!” 😃 lol hell yea!
That place looks spectacular !!!! And the food was expensive, but wow !!
This restaurant reminds me of Sam’s by the Sea in Okinawa Japan that I used to visit in the 80’s. It was so beautiful and the food was so delicious. My favorite steak is ribeye and porterhouse.
Suckling pig is one of my all-time favourites. After I tried it in Athens, Greece many years ago. I haven't seen it on a menu for about 30 years 😲
Now that’s one challenge I could complete
Not bad under a $100 USD. Love the content as usual. I miss the Wham interlude when you hit that supreme bite. LOL
seems like an easy and very enjoyable challenge.
Great video. What a challenge. Loved that you did it with a friend.
Looks so good! You are not far from 1m Subs keep it up you wil get there one day soon
First time I've seen you eat instead of shoveling it down joel you can't rush good food joel👍😉
I would easily pay $94 for that meal set in that beautiful setting! All for the experience and delicious steak. Steak, baked potato, and a green salad is my favorite meal!
I bet the man beside you is wondering how do you eat so much😂 I love watching your videos. You amaze me every time, seriously
Well, that was a nice appetizer! What did you have for your main dish!? Lol 😂😋❤❤❤
Whoever printed your shirt, thumbs up!
Favorite steak is Ribeye & cooked Medium Rare. So jealous Joel, it looked AMAZING!!!
Awesome Challenge 🎉 one of my favorites and what a beautiful spot your at!
I think Joel would wipe the floor with beard eats food guy
My favorite is center cut sirloin or a Porterhouse with all fat removed and cooked well done absolutely no pink at all
That looked easy defo trying that next time I'm in Bangkok
