Blowing up destroyable rock-smash rocks with Bombs, moving away a Snorlax like a giant block and having Link cut away Pokemon grass. This looks really awesome!...and fascinating. One of the most interesting rom hacks I have seen gameplay wise with how well you meld the mechanics (and great music) of both games/series.
Thanks! If you haven't seen my other videos I also have the Hookshot and Bow and Arrow. The Hookshot still needs an animation upgrade though, but it's not as bad now as it was in my first Dev Log. Music is something that I'll definitely be working on a lot later, right now it's a bit of a mess 😂 but I plan on porting a lot of WW and TMC songs
This is a romhack. It is not a fangame. It's pretty obviously not a fangame too 😂, no Pokemon fangame engine mimics the GBA map size and object movement stuff like this at all. They're always zoomed out and just *feel* different.
It's not **really** necessarily Link, it just *looks* like Link 😂. But the opening cutscene to the Wind Waker, the 'This is but one of the Legends of which the people speak' section, will be reworked to fit my hacks plot and replace the beginning of the intro and it will kind of allude to the players appearance.
The majority of this stuff is vanilla Emerald except the Link sprites, which were ripped from The Minish Cap and edited by me. I haven't done too much sprite work myself because I am a programmer, not an artist.
I'm not sure, the feature branch that is from was created by Ghoulslash and he works on Pokemon Voyager, so he might use it there, however, he might have replaced it with the Key-Item Wheel instead because that's a popular one to use as well.
Hey, I'm going to be following your ROM hack series to start a club at my school. I hope to help people get involved with Pokémon ROM Hacks, and try some fun project ideas! Let me know if you'd like me to keep you updated.
Another update for my hack Samiya Sapphire, some more cool Zelda features ported over.

Remember a romhack is a hack of a rom. If this is released as a "fan game" in the form of an .exe I am gonna cry.

@@TeamAquasHideout Obvious to you maybe. But I don't personally make any of either so we can agree you are closer to it.
Awesome stuff. If you combine that warping with a small animation, it'd be perfect.
I definitely will at some point. It's on my list!
@@TeamAquasHideout Fantastic. Whatever game you'll end up it, it might have a revolutional impact on the community!
I hope so! I'm trying to make it as insane as possible.
@@TeamAquasHideout Best of luck! I'll be sure to follow your progress.
This is phenomenal. Is there going to be a story tie-in that explains why Link is in Hoenn or is that just a place holder sprite?

@@TeamAquasHideout That's sick. Love the work, slide games included!
This looks amazing!! Do you plan on including Zelda music or Zelda themed music into the game or will it all still sound like pokemon?
I'll have a lot of Zelda music, mostly from Wind Waker
Did you do all the spritework yourself? This looks pretty awesome btw

Wha- Moving Snorlax without the PokeFlute? PokeHeresy I say!
He needs his rest
Pushing around snorlax? Absolutely impossible in a pokemon game
Are there other Pokémon hacks that let you assign key items to the L and R buttons? It's a good idea since those buttons are barely used.

Pokemon mixed with Zelda, this looks amazing! Did you actually make this ROM hack?
Yep! I'm working on it still, it's a long term project but it's a ton of fun
@@TeamAquasHideout That's impressive!
Can you give me the scripts link where you cut graases and pull snorlax
They aren't scripts. Its hundreds of lines of C code lol.

Yeah that's pretty cool is this for high school or college?
Is this going to be playable when your done?
Naturally
