Do you ever start the tune off with a bVImaj7 rather than a ii-7(b5)? I've never been a fan of stating "#6" (or #2) when referencing a Locrian scale with alterations, but nevertheless a pretty good source of info.
What's a "sub of a sub-5"? I'm thinking it has something got to do with a substitution for a subdominant? As in tritone substitution? Isn't a subdominant chord usually a non-dominant?
