We need more of Legowelt. Love his style.
???
@@ZenMountain !!!
Danny's impression of a synth snob saying "Oxford oscillators" was perfect. 😁
27:15
I could watch Legowelt talk about his studio / music all day.
definitely. he comes with a inspiring funk. pure love.
the type of video where 30 minutes feel like 30 seconds, love Legowelt
What a gem.
I love that when he gives a tour he really goes into things & brings things to life.
Respect !
Danny's a legend, and seems a down to earth guy. Fun tip for a drinking game, you have to drink every time he says "syntesizer".
Cheers!!

Or twelve bit 😉
Lol.. I'm going to have to try that sometime soon >< XD
This man is really understand what sound design is!
Always a pleasure to see/ hear danny talking about gear :-)
So calming listening to him
Proper nouns are capitalized in English.
„Depressing life at the synthesizer store“? what you talking about?? 😅❤️
great guy, great artist... love the studio and the obscure gear :-)
His studio is such a vibe
You know apart from the great music, Danny's unapologetic weird imagination is such an inspiration to me. The backstory, the world, the visuals he creates around his projects elevate them to so much more than just good music. Every one of his albums I feel like I want to see the weird, crappy/great, indie arthouse B-movie it's meant as an OST for.
100% sir. I'm always taken somewhere inside a movie when i hear his music. hard to explain but it's so warm & familiar.!!
Sometimes i feel, i wish i could start my life again to do electronic musics for my own. Such a great world! I can almost clearly remember that i was about 8 when i realised that electro music is my great part of my life. Thank god that Danny is here with us and don't stop presenting fantastic vibes. My favorite sound is the space mixing with some techno bass. Keep up the good work man!
great! Legowelt is a funny and gifted musician, I can't wait to see his 'Ambient Trip Commander' film
LEGOWELTs looking pretty fresh now adays
With his current hairstyle, he looks a bit like a young version of KS, in all the best ways possible 🙂
he looks like a 16y old living in his mother's basement.
Chainzzz
This guy's synthesizer collection is bonkers. If I had all that kinda gear, I'd never leave the house... ever. He's very inspiring; a large portion of fuel into producing nothing but electronic/acid house/trance music starting next January, for at least 3 months straight minimum. I'm excited ^ ^ keep doing your thing Legowelt!
- Mr. Mellow
He’s a Dutch underground treasure.
damn i could watch mr legowelt all day long showing off synths, hes so lovley. thank you sir
I'm still pretty new to synthesizers, but I like his attitude towards his instruments and how he also talks positively about certain weak points (like "it gives it a character of its own") instead of bashing the devices (as you often find on forums).
Legowelt... the king! Love this! Thx for the tour
hes a legend !! everybody from a synth world loves him !! he has a unique sound signature
Do not underestimate the force of the PSS-480! It was my first synthesizer. You can get incredible sounds out of it. I have also the Roland D-10. Also great sounding sounds! I had the JD-800. I saw you have a Jupiter 4. That's on my wishlist. Sounds amazing! Greetings from Tienen, Belgium.
Always love to hear the Ambient God Pete Namlook and FAX being mentioned!!
Love these studio tours!
Thanks a lot!
Yeah, they are always fun to watch. 🙂Since you also seem to be a pro wrestling fan (maybe even since the "hard times" era of Dusty Rhodes around '85)...and just in case you don't know: Ric Flair is having his "last match" on July 31st at an event called Starrcast V. Flair and Andrade (who is married to Flair's daughter in real life) vs. Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett. Whooo! They even made a 2-part docu series about the whole thing...which - as some sort of huge surprise - even led to a well laid-out storyline for the match (nice build-up!). There was even some sort of "reference" made to the old "horsemen" parking lot attack on Dusty.
@@sauermusicDE Fan? My death was fake news. And don't forget I have wined and dined with Kings and Queens.
Amazing video, so great to see Danny presenting these synths
"Some people go like ..mhm.. filter with stepping things... But it gives it character". Love the JD-800. Thumbs up to Legowelt.
wow love the sounds for the Alpes Scene
I appreciate the fact that besides having flagship synthesizers in there, his emphasis remained on sound and taste regardless of the quality/reputation/trendiness of the equipment. You can tell his focus is what things sound like to him. I bought the DEP-5 because of this video. And I made a list of the obscure/cheap pieces he displayed too.
Casually showing off a Jupiter-8 after going through cheap home synths... Nice video! I like the vibes a lot!
glad to see another reface programmer in the wild. I love having that.
I can't say it enough, but Dannie's music belongs in one of those "space blind flying boxes". If aliens find them, at least they'll know we had such great music on Earth.
Legowelt is a true god
Dream setup....
and holy moly, the demo are cool too
Morning Meditation with my man, Legowelt. Cool.
Absolutely brilliant!!! Respect.
The second keyboard the one from the early 90s I had that one. 😀 Good memories from that keyboard. The 480.
It would be very special for him to design his own official "Legowelt" keyboard
Great, thank you. Lovely genius, I like his style.
that JVC is crazy!
Some people go “gne gne gne” with step filter. I love this man
What a legend.
There's a cool lesson in this clip: Danny talks about the audio equivalent of the "uncanny valley", around 17:30
Nice one!
Legowelt RULES!!
Amazing, can't wait to see the movie in full. I always see his gear and think "I'd love to have that synth!" then I realise he can make the Reface DX I had sound good, and all hopes go out the window.
On our channel you can find parts of the movie soundtracked by Legowelt live. Enjoy! :)
The reface DX takes time, but you can really make great sounds with it and discover FM. I love it.
I love Legowelt.
Love this guy which happens to be the least Dutch person I’ve ever seen. Brilliant artist!
10:25 "It's a wonderful day in the neighborhood, would you be mine?"
Megageil
Did he call the S900 "old sampler crap"? ^^ legend
I'm only interested in the moments, when Danny says the word "synthesizer".
Love this dude ..what a cool cat...he is magaical, like a modern day Catweazle with a EDM studio
Peace😊
The Akai X7000 is so nice, paired with an Ensoniq EPS, 12 bit perfection.
I agree - although the EPS is 13-bit!
haha the story @Samantha 😂 This guy is so amazing and really really cool ✌
I would love to meet him and talking about music, it seems me so cool (a live in the south of the netherlands)
☺
I'll go once to Clone records (in R'dam) sometimes, maybe... I'll meet him @one day
but i think i can forget......😬
and keep on dreaming.. 😇
He's wonderfully wacky.
That was fascinating.
I need to go to Danny’s local triff store
Same thought :D
OB6 filter super cool
Legend!!!
amazing!
This dude is my dude
Studio has a nice homely vibe. A bit like Legowelt.
You should see his other studio tours, if you would doubt the nice homely vibe :-)
@@dussie920 indeed!
I might get a summit just to have his patches
(it's the companding, 12-bit and the tricks they had to use to do the work are a factor, yes, but: companding.) don't chase old boat anchors until you got your rent and weed money sorted kittens. dsp is ok too :3
super inspiring !!
Great band name “Droopy Molasses” 😄
What is a hecker group??
I get his point about 12bit, makes sense to me also.
Ambient Studio Commander
Whooooo!!!!
I was waiting for him to show the Prophet-2000, which is a killer machine.
Groeten uit Nijmegen.
È un genio!!!
♡
Yeah!
6:13 instant dungeon synth sound
12:46 i think the exact same arpeggio was used in some james ferraro song cant point my finger on it though
saludos desde tijuana yeahhhh excelente
12:11 yeah,my dream synth
Whenever Danny says 'synthesizer' something happens!
💜
❤❤❤
"Fascinating Chord" ~ Mr. Spock
I was gunna get a reface and the programer, but opted for the opsix instead, Cool studio!
Wise choice.
@@sauermusicDE I even considered a Yamaha TG77, The opsix is great though for sure
Im the 666 th liker 😀😁 🤟 me either an 12bit lover 😁... in drums its the Pearl SC-40 synthdrumbrain - 12bit samples with 2 analog filter and a lot editing parameters! ✌✌✌
Why was skipped Zoom1201 ))
Love the shout out to the microstation. I think it's based on the M1 not the Triton, someone correct me if I'm wrong about that
Ok I think I got the timeline now:
Triton -> M3 -> M50 -> MicroStation
So he was right that it descended from the Triton.
YOOOO! What kind of plant was that?!
Has anybody tried the Roland D-10 with patch editing software (or hardware) interface?
I'd be keen to know if anybody has made a patch for Novation ReMote SL, or else iPad etc?
I have seen a video showing an editor running on Atari ST (or via emulation), which actually looks decent
This shows the Atari based editor:
ruclips.net/video/Oxf41oyBJ78/видео.html
I hope you do this untill your 95 legowelt
What is the small synth sitting on the Akai 7000 please? Thanks for the tour!
That looks like a Casio SK-1 sampler keyboard. Nice funny thing!
🖤🖤❤
Waiting for the raw stuff edit
synthesizer, synthesizer, synthesis, synthesizer
Camera guy had a bit too much caffeine that morning.
I have a D10. I consider it a hidden in plain sight gem.
I sold my D10 to Danny. Nice to see it in this video now...
That computer from the thumbnail isn't in this, is it?
Can you help me how to contact with you? Im try to play your style and more im good play on synth but i dont now a studio and how to record all 😞
I love your style and im from Poland sorry for me anglish im bether speek write not special😅
A nice keyboard doesnt have to be a topline super famous synthesizer
Oh an Alesi midiverb II at least one piece of gear I have. Def. 80ties
so many great patches on that thing. the crackling he mentions, ime, is the pots crapping out usually mix. i've seen this lead to terrible squealing feedback but the pots aren't too bad to rebuild.
@@soupforare yea opened mine up and did some maintenance. No Problem.
Synthesizers synthesizers synthesizers synthesizers synthesizers !!!!!🤣🤣🤣💚
