Audeze penrose. It is the absolute best headset for 300 you will ever hear. Powered by 100mm planar magnetic drivers sheewwwww also Bluetooth capable for your phone so it’s not just a gaming headset and once you hear it you would understand why people myself included use it any chance they have lol. It’s absolutely incredible and also capable of storing 5 different eq presets at a time you can change by holding down the volume wheel and cycling through which ever one is going to work best for you for what ever you are doing! I have made this pre set for fps/immersion games. I like both styles and with this headset you literally get both sides of audio. It’s INCREDIBLE. Here the pre set I made for them!ruclips.net/user/shortst-p_evVASvA?feature=share

I'm using Astro A50 Gen4 and also the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen2 atm. Astro sounds simply amazing but it's missing some important features the Stealth 700s have. USB C and also Bluetooth. Plus the charging in the base station takes forever on the Astros. Mostly I charge them via micro USB cable. Really annoying tbh. If they wouldn't sound as good as they are I would probably get rid of them.

I got Astro A40’s with the mix amp. It’s honestly not doing the headset justice to review it without including the mix amp. The mix amp is really what brings that headset to it’s maximum potential. I have 4 pre-set EQ’s for different games and I’ve heard sounds that most of my friends haven’t even heard.

      @Lombo13 Год назад +1

@@austinjones8314 yeah I have a PS5. I’ve had the A40’s with the mix amp since PS4. Just plug the digital optical out into your TV’s optical port, plug the mix amp usb cable into one of the ports in the back of the PS5. Audio device settings on console should be Astro’s mix amp for input and output, AV amplifier, 5.1, Dolby audio setting, and chat audio through the headset. You don’t need the adapter. The adapter is HDMI 2.0b. So, you’ll be playing 120hz games at 1080p and 60hz at 4K if you use the adapter. If you follow the steps in this comment, you’ll play 60-120hz in full 4K resolution. Plus, you’ll still be able to use the mix amp to adjust the game and chat volumes. You’ll also be able to adjust the game and chat audio for both game and party chats. Not just party chats like how it was on the PS4.
If you do everything right, you will not be able to edit the 3D audio feature. You won’t need 3D audio if you have 5.1 sound setting and the dolby mix amp setting active

Sadly no Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless in the test since I still don't know if I should go for it or the Steelseries Actis 7p+ (or the 7+)....
It's so much more difficult to find good wireless headphones (with or without a mic). It's so much easier on PC since I use 3.5 with my variety of open and closed Beyerdynamics headphones/sets.

A great video, being a headset fanatic and small reviewer on my stream channel (same name, sorry about the plug 😛)
I have probably like you headphones coming out of every box, shelf in my flat. But I’m sure
Just want to say, brilliant videos.
I’m about to pull the trigger on the H7 for review and test on my channel, after reviewing the H3 which imo are horrendous, I’ll also admit I tell my viewers when being asked what set should I buy?,
I always tell them go wired, you have controllers in your hand so cable should never be a problem.
I agree, with the absolute terrible mess up by Sony on not having a dedicated App for the console for this new line up,
I have spoken to them about this, they didn’t even confirm if one was in the works.
But to then not save settings from the great PC app they do, again is just crazy imo.
The difference on just the H3 using the PC is like getting a different set.
And then going back to console, with just the basic ps5 functionality is like I say, unforgivable.
I actually believe these shouldn’t even be advertised as a console set, for pc there a great headphone.
That’s my worry on getting the H7, are they going to be the same, just good for pc.
Also not a fan of the mic on H3, it doesn’t pull down for enough, as a 17 year podcaster, audio is so important, and any boom mic should always be placed on your jawline not level with your mouth, it’s the biggest mistake I see and hear people make.
Then there’s the 2 mic holes one aimed towards mouth and one facing outwards… why?🤷‍♂️, again another strange choice, and one I don’t think I’ve seen on any other set.
Just feel Sony have dropped the ball here, any gamer testing these could have told them prior to launch, the pitfalls, I could have changes a few things that would made the H3’s a fantastic set. But again weird choices.
It’s taken them 10 years to realise gaming headsets should have a boom mic.
Anyway, just a Couple of quick recommendations for you to try on your channel.
My actual go to every time set are the Hyper x Alpha’s, has THE best mic of any set I test and is also my benchmark, no others btw get close for mic quality.
Also if you only do wireless , if you haven’t yet try the Astro A20’s there kind of “budget” wireless set, they may surprise you, they did me.
Anyway I’ve subbed, being a headphone nut myself , just great informative reviews.
Sorry for the long reply, 👍
    Toz (cranky gamers UK)

I picked up a 7p+ yesterday. And I'll be returning it tomorrow. With all the hype I've heard in them, I was pretty blown away by hearing everyone day they love the audio on it. But for my taste. They're super quiet and too high frequency oriented. There's no weight to the low end. I typically use a 5.1 setup and like to run my sub a little louder while keeping the rest flat. So I ended up picking the A50s for my taste.
