Seif, I have EQ'd the pulse elite with a headphone measurement simulator and the best EQ is: bass: 0Db low: -2Db mid: -2Db high: -3Db treble: -6Db. Try this EQ. You can't actually increase bass in the Elite EQ without the entire volume increasing which introduces clipping, so what you need to do is remove some of the really peaky and loud treble which will strengthen the bass relatively. This makes them sound good for not only gaming, but music listening as well.
Hey Susana, regrettably, no it doesn't work with the Portal. For the PS Portal, you would need a different bluetooth transmitter that plugs into its Aux port. Hello there, Im stuck between the Sony Inzone H9 and the Stealth 700 G3 for the PS5, which one would you say has better sound quality and more immersive?
hmm can't say I've tried the Stealth 700 G3, but considering it's not in the same price bracket as the H9, I would venture to say the H9 would sound better. However, I'm certain the Stealth 700 Gen 3 would provide a more seamless user experience with much more flexibility and ease of adjusting EQ through the phone app as opposed to the InZone's need for a PC app. Perhaps a better comparison would be the Turtle Beach Stealth Pros vs the InZone H9, in which case I would tell you the Turtle Beach Stealth Pros win hands down, no questions asked.

Nice review, I've been using pulse 3d from the ps5 launch day, decent headset for the price and automatic output changing audio output feature. One major drawback for me was the ear cup size: it is smaller than my ear and the frame of my ears got painful when being pressed by ear cup over 1hr of gameplay. Really wish they could make a larger set ear cups

Hey Vulgo, can't say i've tried the Astro A10s but looking at them on google looks like they use regular dynamic drivers, so I would say you will probably notice a good deal of improvement in sound quality if you were to upgrade to the Sony Pulse Elite as they use planar magnetic drivers that just sound clearer and more enjoyable/exciting to my ears more often than dynamic drivers. @@olditguy Thanks for watching! The mic noise cancelling on the Pulse Elite and the Audeze Maxwell are top shelf. Presuming they will recognize your heavy breathing as background noise. For pure gaming usage, I would go with the Pulse Elite, they will give much better immersion in my experience vs the Sonos Ace via Arc (though that option is still very enjoyable for single player games and really you wouldn't know what you're missing out on until you try a dedicated gaming headset like the Pulse Elite). @@G82Watts that's right! that's why I still kept my audeze penrose coz I actually prefer the sound over maxwell and it has simultaneous bluetooth. The turtle beach stealth pros are my go tos these days though, you just can't beat that app and the sound honestly, some might even prefer it over audeze with their planar magnetics, I would say they're both really good, preference in sound is going to come down to personal taste/hearing.

I just got the pulse elites this morning and they sound so good, way better than my arctis 7p+ which are a lot older now. You have the newer tech in the Sony at $150. Do it lol plus it’s Amazon if you don’t like it you can return them. I was listening to a podcast off my iPhone playing zombies solo with the game sound that’s a cool feature.
I needed one mostly for my PSVR2, so the pulse elites were the only choice. I have other headsets including the turtle Beach stealth Gen 2 and the OG Steelseries Arctis 7ps, the 2nd gen PlayStation Golds and none of them fit well with the PSVR2.

If you don't mind spending the extra money, I would go with the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro. I wouldn't suggest the turtle beach stealth pro , being the owner i have had multiple issues with the transmitter and headset not turning on and that after the update it's gotten even worse. I've mailed the company and waiting for the response. The headset is amazing but cas of the flaws its just unbearable

Hey Aaron! thanks so much for watching and the kind comment. If I could only have one, I would go with the Turtle Beach Stealth Pros. They are the least likely to disappoint you on the immersion front! Because of the better bass and still very impressive mids and highs with extremely versatile EQ customization to boot. The Maxwells on the other hand, you might take issue with how much they weigh or the lack of simultaneous bluetooth and wireless connection or the relatively sub par app experience (compared to the Turtle Beach). I would recommend, or at least I prefer the comfort with the Wicked Cushionz FreeZe pads on the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro though if you can get your hands on that too. That's if your ears have a tendency to get hot quick (as mine do). I recommend it for all the headsets so not much of a comparative point though.
The thing about the maxwells is you'll def prefer the sound quality if you're more into highs and mids than bass, which I am but I still reach for the turtle beach stealth pro in horror games (e.g. dead space), and a lot of single player games. It's really personal taste, but I find it hard to believe anybody will listen to the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro and not be blown away. I even prefer it for music over my Airpods Max as well. Mate, you are a legend, that’s exactly the info I needed. These things are expensive in Oz and there’s no try before you buy and you can’t return if the packing is open. So it’s all or nothing lol. The pulse elites are 239 AUD , maxwells are 599 (Xbox version) and the TB stealth pros are 599, I’ve found some TB stealth pros on Amazon for 360aud so pulled the trigger just have to hope they don’t come set to Japanese lol. Once love your work and really looking forward to more of your reviews.

Hey mate, I’m sorry to be a pain but I’ve got another question, I just got my stealth pros and I love them , sound is amazing, app is fantastic, but……. I find them reallly uncomfortable on my ears. So my question is how much of a difference does the wicked cushions make in your opinion? The reason I ask is I’m finding them really sore on my ears after 30 mins or so so they would need to be a massive improvement I guess to make these work. I actually found an audio place that’s sells maxwells and I tried a pair on, they felt really good compared to the stealths and not much different weight wise, but I love the stealths sound so much.
Skullcandy crusher ANC2 or EVO for gaming. Bass king for gaming. And they sound surprisingly amazing for gaming. I use my Maxwell for PC gaming. Console I use Sony XM4 or 900n’s plugged into controller and ANC2/EVO’s.

So I would stop and think twice unless you know you take meticulous care of ur stuff. Currently I'm waiting to try the Astro A50X (should be arriving today) to see how it compares to the turtle beach stealth pro and audeze maxwell.

I do take good care of my stuff and for my video editing work i’m using ATH-M50x bt2, so a new pair would be specifically for my PS5 gaming (which is pretty rare nowadays at my age) Overall I am in my research phase and trying to find something around 250$ that can offer good sound quality, good built quality and comfort. I would love them to also look good of course & i think the pulse elite are a bit too extra for my taste. Atm I am looking at some Steelseries, they seem to have a lot of good features and pretty good looking desings. Do you have any experience with those at all?
@@TheSaiyan np! I do have experience with Steel Series Arcits 7 and Nova Pro Wireless. Pulse Elite sounds considerably better than both imo. I don't think there is anything out there that will beat Pulse Elite for PS5 at $250 (and it's even considerably less at $129 currently). There are even wicked cushionz replacement pads available for it now too which in my experience always improve the audio and comfort. hey Piotr, none of them have it on the headset itself. They all allow it to be adjusted with the playstation edge pro controller though if you hold down the function button and adjust the mix on those. The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro has the smoothest most reliable phone app of all of them and allows game/chat mix adjustments on there through your phone as well. Hope that helps!
Astro a50x. If it’s really that big of a deal and you don’t want to spend the money on the Astros, the dualsense edge controller for ps5 has a function button that can quickly change game chat mix without entering menus. I am getting Astro a50x’s soon and currently have gen 4 a50s on the ps5 so I am unable to use game chat mix controls on headset but the controller makes it very easy

It's not a massive difference in terms of quality of the audio positioning/directionality so much as the audeze just sounding overall 'better' and more spacious. But still the pulse elite is very good! like I doubt you would be disappointed, especially considering how much lighter and cheaper the pulse elite is as well as it having simultaneous bluetooth and wirelesss connection
Would the Audeze Maxwell be a good daily driver headset? I'm planning on buying them but I'm a little worried about the weight since I've never worn heavy headsets. My current daily headsets are the EPOS H6Pro, I want something wireless that sounds really good and the mic don't suck (that much)
personally, I don't mind the weight. As a daily driver though, it's tough.. some people really care about the weight but i don't play any more than 2-3hrs in one sitting so for me it's completely fine and comfortable for that amount of time. As for the mics, they're all good enough that nobody will mention anything or at least I've yet to hear anybody say anything.

The most important thing-game chat mix. PlayStation likes to prohibit that control from physical headsets. Looks like the turtle beach pro has a slider in the app to mix game and chat. The pulse elite is 50/50 in games when outside a PS party, which is useless.

hey Rytis! hmm can't say I've personally tried those. But just looking at the specs now and my experience with the brands, I would go TB Stealth 700 Gen 3. I prefer the TB app too, best in the business imo.
The pulse elite is one of the best mid tier budget headsets on the market right now. They sound better than pretty much any other headset in this price range because of those planar magnetic drivers. Hell even the steel series nova 7p dosent sound as good despite being more expensive. The mic is also a significant upgrade over the pulse 3D. The only advantage the pulse 3D has is the game to chat mix but other than that the pulse elites are better in every other way. And at $150 bucks it’s a great price for what ur getting and u definitely hear where that extra 50 bucks went
Hello, Question: Can I use all of the functions in the Turtle Beach App for example "Mic Monitoring" while my Turtle Beach Headphone are connected with the PS5? Im asking because the Mic Monitoring function is only adjustable for Playstation Headsets in the Settings..
Hey Abdurrahim, I double checked just now, confirming yes! you can adjust all settings including mic monitoring through the Turtle Beach app on your phone while connected to the PS5. I didn't notice a difference worth talking about. People heard me just fine with them all 🤷 Personally I wouldn't pick one headset over another based on some perception of slight 'better' mic. They're all fairly premium headsets and so the mic quality is no different. If one of em had trash mic quality that would def make me want to not recommend a headset, I would have mentioned in that case.

I just ordered the elites, and I have a PS5 Slim, the dongle issue shouldn't be an issue for me since I have a USB hub extender for the front of my PS5 so I'm already that I bought a few months ago from Amazon. So I have four more inputs in the front. I had to do the same thing with my turtle Beach Stealth 600 because it would get too hot in the back. I'm hoping elites work well in the front, it should but I'm still hearing people having issues what's the disconnection even in the front. But I believe Sony came with an update a while back for them? I'm not sure why Sony did this with the PS5 slims... Terrible design choice.
true, ya i haven't experienced any disconnection issues lately on my pulse explores nor the elites. But yes, Sony should have just built the playstation link tech directly into the ps5 slim so we don't have to deal with dongles period, especially when buying first party accessories. Hope that's what they do with the upcoming ps5 pro!
@@seifbuys interesting yeah, I bought the Pulse Elite about 3 weeks ago almost. I just got one disconnect today, I even have the USB in the front of my PS5 Slim with the extra usb hub. I hope this isn't a sign for things to come. Other than that it's been working fine.

Random disconnections, and also, sort of soft watery ticking noises from both drivers. Not overly loud, but bloody annoying. Can even hear it for a short while after turning the headset completely off. Don’t know what Sony were thinking with these. Superb audio quality with a good mic. But awfully manufactured it seems. Going to leave a review on google so hopefully more people can be aware.
If you got the money to spare, ya worth it imo.. provided you can find it in stock somewhere and pay no more than MSRP. Just be prepared for a much heavier headset (still as comfortable as Elites for my 2-4 hr gaming sessions though). On the upside, you'll get: 1) definitely better sound quality out the box imo 2) Easier on the fly EQ Adjustment via the phone app 3) Much better music sound quality from your phone (higher volumes as well) 4) super long battery life
Might find it crazy but I was using Razer barracuda mic and i got the arctis nova pro and the barracuda definitely has a better mic which is crazy to me given the price.

@@seifbuys yes im on ps5 and i switched to the arctis nova pro and i set it up and switched a couple settings for hours but still same, my friend told me i sounded crystal clear on the barracuda and the arctis nova sounded grainy and like i was far away from the mic. Ive done some research and alot of reviews say that the Arctis nova pro and all these expensive headsets are made more for PC gaming.
Does the Pulse Elite allow you to adjust the volume through the PS5 menus? I have been using the Pulse 3D but these options are always greyed out and the sound is really not loud enough in many games.
Hey Shaheed, thanks for watching! that's my old trusty 65" LG CX OLED tv. I've been meaning to upgrade to the Sony A95L OLED but 1) my current place couldn't support a bigger tv, I want my next one to be 77" or bigger and 2) sony still hasn't made this oled tv with more than just 2 hdmi 2.1 ports! Even my current LG CX from 3-4 years ago has 4 hdmi 2.1 ports so it's really inexcusable at this point for such a high price tv.. smh
not me! also, I can confirm you can use a usbA to usb-c adapter and plug the dongle in the front of your ps5 slim and it works just as good no problem.

Elites are really bad to EQ because they distort. Same with high volumes. Avoid top 2 volume clicks and its fine. Maxwell on the other hand can be EQed however you need. No distortion. just perfect never distorts. The problem I have with both is that I can hear my heartbeat... so annoying. not a thing with pulse 3d. Should I try turtle beach? people like the new atlas air

@@seifbuys I think due to me having buzz cut, the seal around my ears is so tight, I hear my heartbeat like in noise deprivation chamber :p Yeah atlas air is maybe the only open back wireless headset
I hate it when people say “infinite battery life” when it comes to switchable batteries like they don’t need charge if you’re outside for extended amounts of time without a power bank which isn’t infinite itself, rather go with battery that actually lasts 80 hours like the audeze
@@Fassstdude ya fair point Dames. No need for hate of anything ever but I get where you're coming from. As these are large chunky gaming headsets I do assume people are using it for ps5 gaming first and foremost (as per title) and in that setting at home they really might as well be infinite and I most certainly wouldn't choose any one of these over another on account of battery life. The other factors make much more of a difference in my daily experience than battery life and I stand by that. Audeze Maxwells still are a beast tho and solid choice for many.
The pulse elite would be a great headset but the connection issue is really bad. AND I MEAN BAD! Has NOT made a difference if its plugged in the front or back. Sony simply dropped the ball on these. I had an update for the headset a few weeks ago. I was so happy thinking that this would fix the disconnection issue... On my end, this made it worse. I am now experiencing more drops and reconnects than i was before the update. I SIMPLY WANT MY MONEY BACK BUT CANT RETURN THEM NOW.

I’ve tried 6-8 headsets and always found myself going back to these virtuosos. I only play on ps5 as well. Other headsets either the bass was too much and too distracting or mic quality was terrible and/or lack of simultaneous Bluetooth (which I can’t live without since having it). These have the just the right around of bass out of the box and there’s no mic that is better for the price. Can find these on sale often, all of the reviews I’ve seen - only the A50x could be better but I’m not paying almost $400 for a headset lol. My only complaints about the virtuoso XT is the ear pads which is solved with buying wicked cushions.
@@minhn2888 I see! ya to be honest sound quality is super subjective.. like I have a hard time recommending someone go for a headset if sound quality is the main benefit vs others because of this subjectivity. Like which game they're going to be playing + how the person hears different sounds + their preferences on top of that. Just too much room for error, I don't doubt you love them but I've def watched a bunch of video reviews and people are hardly unanimous in saying that they sound great. What they are saying is that it is an absolute deal breaker that the virtuosos don't allow EQ adjustment on anything other than PC and that's an automatic dealbreaker for me too as I said with the Sony H9s in the vid. As for the A50X, I just wasn't sold on it vs the Audeze Maxwell and Turtle Beach Stealth Pros. Happy to hear you're enjoying the corsairs though and glad we have this dialogue here for others to see/look into!
EVERYBODY PLEASE LISTEN. DONT buy the pulse elite, they are super low quality in terms of materials and they easily break on the sides (in my case in just 2 weeks they were ready to snap with super carefull usage) and the audio is not good enough to compensate for the price. They dont even have any special support/customization from the ps5 like I thought they would (only if you want a wireless headset for the ps portal) and they also disconnect a lot even with an adapter for the ps5 slim type c slot in the front. Now I have sent them for repair through warranty and I am hoping they will send me a new pair so that I can sell them and buy a headset from a legit company even a wired one cause honestly wireless is not that important since you can just plug them in on the controller. Super dissapointed that no video review from a lot that I watched before buying mentioned anything about all of this.

I still consider them the best value ps5 headsets with good EQ customization on the ps5 menu. As for build quality, I have had no issues at all yet nor any wireless connection issues to date neither 🤷
@seifbuys Thank you for replying, but honestly reviewers are not the same as a regular customer that will buy 1 headset and only use that hopefully for years. As extensive as your review could be you most likely have not used them that much because of all your options. If you take a look at reviews from customers on the internet you will see a ton of people that have uploaded photos of their headset snapped in half. All am trying to say is that I don't recommend them and I regret buying them as a regular gamer that spending 150 bucks for a headset is a big investment.

You can take the earpads of the pulse elite off. Wicked cushions already announced that they will be making earpads for these.

Seif, I have EQ'd the pulse elite with a headphone measurement simulator and the best EQ is: bass: 0Db low: -2Db mid: -2Db high: -3Db treble: -6Db.
Try this EQ. You can't actually increase bass in the Elite EQ without the entire volume increasing which introduces clipping, so what you need to do is remove some of the really peaky and loud treble which will strengthen the bass relatively.
This makes them sound good for not only gaming, but music listening as well.

Hello there, Im stuck between the Sony Inzone H9 and the Stealth 700 G3 for the PS5, which one would you say has better sound quality and more immersive?
hmm can't say I've tried the Stealth 700 G3, but considering it's not in the same price bracket as the H9, I would venture to say the H9 would sound better. However, I'm certain the Stealth 700 Gen 3 would provide a more seamless user experience with much more flexibility and ease of adjusting EQ through the phone app as opposed to the InZone's need for a PC app. Perhaps a better comparison would be the Turtle Beach Stealth Pros vs the InZone H9, in which case I would tell you the Turtle Beach Stealth Pros win hands down, no questions asked.

Nice review, I've been using pulse 3d from the ps5 launch day, decent headset for the price and automatic output changing audio output feature. One major drawback for me was the ear cup size: it is smaller than my ear and the frame of my ears got painful when being pressed by ear cup over 1hr of gameplay. Really wish they could make a larger set ear cups

Hey Vulgo, can't say i've tried the Astro A10s but looking at them on google looks like they use regular dynamic drivers, so I would say you will probably notice a good deal of improvement in sound quality if you were to upgrade to the Sony Pulse Elite as they use planar magnetic drivers that just sound clearer and more enjoyable/exciting to my ears more often than dynamic drivers. For pure gaming usage, I would go with the Pulse Elite, they will give much better immersion in my experience vs the Sonos Ace via Arc (though that option is still very enjoyable for single player games and really you wouldn't know what you're missing out on until you try a dedicated gaming headset like the Pulse Elite). The turtle beach stealth pros are my go tos these days though, you just can't beat that app and the sound honestly, some might even prefer it over audeze with their planar magnetics, I would say they're both really good, preference in sound is going to come down to personal taste/hearing.

I just got the pulse elites this morning and they sound so good, way better than my arctis 7p+ which are a lot older now. You have the newer tech in the Sony at $150. Do it lol plus it’s Amazon if you don’t like it you can return them. I was listening to a podcast off my iPhone playing zombies solo with the game sound that’s a cool feature.

I needed one mostly for my PSVR2, so the pulse elites were the only choice. I have other headsets including the turtle Beach stealth Gen 2 and the OG Steelseries Arctis 7ps, the 2nd gen PlayStation Golds and none of them fit well with the PSVR2.

If you don't mind spending the extra money, I would go with the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro. I wouldn't suggest the turtle beach stealth pro , being the owner i have had multiple issues with the transmitter and headset not turning on and that after the update it's gotten even worse. I've mailed the company and waiting for the response. The headset is amazing but cas of the flaws its just unbearable

Hey Aaron! thanks so much for watching and the kind comment. If I could only have one, I would go with the Turtle Beach Stealth Pros. They are the least likely to disappoint you on the immersion front! Because of the better bass and still very impressive mids and highs with extremely versatile EQ customization to boot. The Maxwells on the other hand, you might take issue with how much they weigh or the lack of simultaneous bluetooth and wireless connection or the relatively sub par app experience (compared to the Turtle Beach).
I would recommend, or at least I prefer the comfort with the Wicked Cushionz FreeZe pads on the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro though if you can get your hands on that too. That's if your ears have a tendency to get hot quick (as mine do). I recommend it for all the headsets so not much of a comparative point though.
The thing about the maxwells is you'll def prefer the sound quality if you're more into highs and mids than bass, which I am but I still reach for the turtle beach stealth pro in horror games (e.g. dead space), and a lot of single player games. It's really personal taste, but I find it hard to believe anybody will listen to the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro and not be blown away. I even prefer it for music over my Airpods Max as well.

Mate, you are a legend, that’s exactly the info I needed. These things are expensive in Oz and there’s no try before you buy and you can’t return if the packing is open. So it’s all or nothing lol. The pulse elites are 239 AUD , maxwells are 599 (Xbox version) and the TB stealth pros are 599, I’ve found some TB stealth pros on Amazon for 360aud so pulled the trigger just have to hope they don’t come set to Japanese lol. Once love your work and really looking forward to more of your reviews.

Hey mate, I’m sorry to be a pain but I’ve got another question, I just got my stealth pros and I love them , sound is amazing, app is fantastic, but……. I find them reallly uncomfortable on my ears. So my question is how much of a difference does the wicked cushions make in your opinion? The reason I ask is I’m finding them really sore on my ears after 30 mins or so so they would need to be a massive improvement I guess to make these work. I actually found an audio place that’s sells maxwells and I tried a pair on, they felt really good compared to the stealths and not much different weight wise, but I love the stealths sound so much.
Skullcandy crusher ANC2 or EVO for gaming. Bass king for gaming. And they sound surprisingly amazing for gaming. I use my Maxwell for PC gaming. Console I use Sony XM4 or 900n’s plugged into controller and ANC2/EVO’s.

So I would stop and think twice unless you know you take meticulous care of ur stuff. Currently I'm waiting to try the Astro A50X (should be arriving today) to see how it compares to the turtle beach stealth pro and audeze maxwell.

Overall I am in my research phase and trying to find something around 250$ that can offer good sound quality, good built quality and comfort. I would love them to also look good of course & i think the pulse elite are a bit too extra for my taste. Atm I am looking at some Steelseries, they seem to have a lot of good features and pretty good looking desings.

@@TheSaiyan np! I do have experience with Steel Series Arcits 7 and Nova Pro Wireless. Pulse Elite sounds considerably better than both imo. I don't think there is anything out there that will beat Pulse Elite for PS5 at $250 (and it's even considerably less at $129 currently). There are even wicked cushionz replacement pads available for it now too which in my experience always improve the audio and comfort. hey Piotr, none of them have it on the headset itself. They all allow it to be adjusted with the playstation edge pro controller though if you hold down the function button and adjust the mix on those. The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro has the smoothest most reliable phone app of all of them and allows game/chat mix adjustments on there through your phone as well. Hope that helps!
Astro a50x. If it’s really that big of a deal and you don’t want to spend the money on the Astros, the dualsense edge controller for ps5 has a function button that can quickly change game chat mix without entering menus. I am getting Astro a50x’s soon and currently have gen 4 a50s on the ps5 so I am unable to use game chat mix controls on headset but the controller makes it very easy

It's not a massive difference in terms of quality of the audio positioning/directionality so much as the audeze just sounding overall 'better' and more spacious. But still the pulse elite is very good! like I doubt you would be disappointed, especially considering how much lighter and cheaper the pulse elite is as well as it having simultaneous bluetooth and wirelesss connection

Would the Audeze Maxwell be a good daily driver headset? I'm planning on buying them but I'm a little worried about the weight since I've never worn heavy headsets. My current daily headsets are the EPOS H6Pro, I want something wireless that sounds really good and the mic don't suck (that much)
personally, I don't mind the weight. As a daily driver though, it's tough.. some people really care about the weight but i don't play any more than 2-3hrs in one sitting so for me it's completely fine and comfortable for that amount of time. As for the mics, they're all good enough that nobody will mention anything or at least I've yet to hear anybody say anything.
Which of these work with the volume and game/chat mix buttons on the dualsense edge buttons?

The most important thing-game chat mix. PlayStation likes to prohibit that control from physical headsets. Looks like the turtle beach pro has a slider in the app to mix game and chat. The pulse elite is 50/50 in games when outside a PS party, which is useless.

The pulse elite is one of the best mid tier budget headsets on the market right now. They sound better than pretty much any other headset in this price range because of those planar magnetic drivers. Hell even the steel series nova 7p dosent sound as good despite being more expensive. The mic is also a significant upgrade over the pulse 3D. The only advantage the pulse 3D has is the game to chat mix but other than that the pulse elites are better in every other way. And at $150 bucks it’s a great price for what ur getting and u definitely hear where that extra 50 bucks went

Hey Abdurrahim, I double checked just now, confirming yes! you can adjust all settings including mic monitoring through the Turtle Beach app on your phone while connected to the PS5. I didn't notice a difference worth talking about. People heard me just fine with them all 🤷 Personally I wouldn't pick one headset over another based on some perception of slight 'better' mic. They're all fairly premium headsets and so the mic quality is no different. If one of em had trash mic quality that would def make me want to not recommend a headset, I would have mentioned in that case.

I just ordered the elites, and I have a PS5 Slim, the dongle issue shouldn't be an issue for me since I have a USB hub extender for the front of my PS5 so I'm already that I bought a few months ago from Amazon. So I have four more inputs in the front. I had to do the same thing with my turtle Beach Stealth 600 because it would get too hot in the back. I'm hoping elites work well in the front, it should but I'm still hearing people having issues what's the disconnection even in the front. But I believe Sony came with an update a while back for them?
I'm not sure why Sony did this with the PS5 slims... Terrible design choice.
true, ya i haven't experienced any disconnection issues lately on my pulse explores nor the elites. But yes, Sony should have just built the playstation link tech directly into the ps5 slim so we don't have to deal with dongles period, especially when buying first party accessories. Hope that's what they do with the upcoming ps5 pro!

Random disconnections, and also, sort of soft watery ticking noises from both drivers. Not overly loud, but bloody annoying. Can even hear it for a short while after turning the headset completely off.
Don’t know what Sony were thinking with these. Superb audio quality with a good mic. But awfully manufactured it seems.

If you got the money to spare, ya worth it imo.. provided you can find it in stock somewhere and pay no more than MSRP. Just be prepared for a much heavier headset (still as comfortable as Elites for my 2-4 hr gaming sessions though). On the upside, you'll get:
1) definitely better sound quality out the box imo
2) Easier on the fly EQ Adjustment via the phone app
3) Much better music sound quality from your phone (higher volumes as well)
4) super long battery life
Might find it crazy but I was using Razer barracuda mic and i got the arctis nova pro and the barracuda definitely has a better mic which is crazy to me given the price.

Ive done some research and alot of reviews say that the Arctis nova pro and all these expensive headsets are made more for PC gaming.

Does the Pulse Elite allow you to adjust the volume through the PS5 menus? I have been using the Pulse 3D but these options are always greyed out and the sound is really not loud enough in many games.
If I am understanding you correctly, yes you can adjust the volume of the Pulse Elite headset via the ps5 menu system.

Hey Shaheed, thanks for watching! that's my old trusty 65" LG CX OLED tv.
I've been meaning to upgrade to the Sony A95L OLED but
1) my current place couldn't support a bigger tv, I want my next one to be 77" or bigger and
2) sony still hasn't made this oled tv with more than just 2 hdmi 2.1 ports! Even my current LG CX from 3-4 years ago has 4 hdmi 2.1 ports so it's really inexcusable at this point for such a high price tv.. smh

not me! also, I can confirm you can use a usbA to usb-c adapter and plug the dongle in the front of your ps5 slim and it works just as good no problem.

@@freddierobdal8369 nice, for what it's worth, I would definitely go pulse elite. Having to go to your PC to modify the EQ on inzone H9 every time when switching games or wtv was a dealbreaker for me.
Elites are really bad to EQ because they distort. Same with high volumes. Avoid top 2 volume clicks and its fine.
Maxwell on the other hand can be EQed however you need. No distortion. just perfect never distorts.
The problem I have with both is that I can hear my heartbeat... so annoying. not a thing with pulse 3d. Should I try turtle beach? people like the new atlas air
I agree with everything u said! but can hear ur heartbeat? idk what that's about man. Turtle Beach stealth pro prob would help in that regard with its mid noise cancelling but can't say i hear my heartbeat in any of these 🤔

I hate it when people say “infinite battery life” when it comes to switchable batteries like they don’t need charge if you’re outside for extended amounts of time without a power bank which isn’t infinite itself, rather go with battery that actually lasts 80 hours like the audeze
@@Fassstdude ya fair point Dames. No need for hate of anything ever but I get where you're coming from. As these are large chunky gaming headsets I do assume people are using it for ps5 gaming first and foremost (as per title) and in that setting at home they really might as well be infinite and I most certainly wouldn't choose any one of these over another on account of battery life. The other factors make much more of a difference in my daily experience than battery life and I stand by that.
Audeze Maxwells still are a beast tho and solid choice for many.

The pulse elite would be a great headset but the connection issue is really bad. AND I MEAN BAD! Has NOT made a difference if its plugged in the front or back. Sony simply dropped the ball on these. I had an update for the headset a few weeks ago. I was so happy thinking that this would fix the disconnection issue... On my end, this made it worse. I am now experiencing more drops and reconnects than i was before the update. I SIMPLY WANT MY MONEY BACK BUT CANT RETURN THEM NOW.
@@terrianadams woah sorry to hear all that Terrian! I would take it up with Sony/Playstation customer support if I was you. Haven't ever interacted with them myself but would hope that they would be able to help somehow.

hmm not the best choice for PS5/console gaming in general from what I heard. Solid choice if you mainly/only play on PC though
I’ve tried 6-8 headsets and always found myself going back to these virtuosos. I only play on ps5 as well. Other headsets either the bass was too much and too distracting or mic quality was terrible and/or lack of simultaneous Bluetooth (which I can’t live without since having it). These have the just the right around of bass out of the box and there’s no mic that is better for the price. Can find these on sale often, all of the reviews I’ve seen - only the A50x could be better but I’m not paying almost $400 for a headset lol. My only complaints about the virtuoso XT is the ear pads which is solved with buying wicked cushions.
@@minhn2888 I see! ya to be honest sound quality is super subjective.. like I have a hard time recommending someone go for a headset if sound quality is the main benefit vs others because of this subjectivity. Like which game they're going to be playing + how the person hears different sounds + their preferences on top of that. Just too much room for error, I don't doubt you love them but I've def watched a bunch of video reviews and people are hardly unanimous in saying that they sound great. What they are saying is that it is an absolute deal breaker that the virtuosos don't allow EQ adjustment on anything other than PC and that's an automatic dealbreaker for me too as I said with the Sony H9s in the vid. As for the A50X, I just wasn't sold on it vs the Audeze Maxwell and Turtle Beach Stealth Pros.

EVERYBODY PLEASE LISTEN. DONT buy the pulse elite, they are super low quality in terms of materials and they easily break on the sides (in my case in just 2 weeks they were ready to snap with super carefull usage) and the audio is not good enough to compensate for the price. They dont even have any special support/customization from the ps5 like I thought they would (only if you want a wireless headset for the ps portal) and they also disconnect a lot even with an adapter for the ps5 slim type c slot in the front. Now I have sent them for repair through warranty and I am hoping they will send me a new pair so that I can sell them and buy a headset from a legit company even a wired one cause honestly wireless is not that important since you can just plug them in on the controller. Super dissapointed that no video review from a lot that I watched before buying mentioned anything about all of this.

I can confidently say that has not been my experience though and I am sure other reviewers didn't run into these same issues you mention and so didn't talk about it. I still consider them the best value ps5 headsets with good EQ customization on the ps5 menu. Do they sound the absolute best? no, but they're also not trying to sound the best since they're not the most expensive. As for build quality, I have had no issues at all yet nor any wireless connection issues to date neither 🤷
@seifbuys Thank you for replying, but honestly reviewers are not the same as a regular customer that will buy 1 headset and only use that hopefully for years. As extensive as your review could be you most likely have not used them that much because of all your options. If you take a look at reviews from customers on the internet you will see a ton of people that have uploaded photos of their headset snapped in half. All am trying to say is that I don't recommend them and I regret buying them as a regular gamer that spending 150 bucks for a headset is a big investment.

I have owned two pulse elites. Thank God for extended warranty, they always snapped at the joint, the plastic at the area is soo thin ! I will not be buying another pair.
