Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on RUclips yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthevideo.com/ and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyrobin.com/crochet...

This video is awesome! So many other crochet projects of mine have ended in a sad jumbled clot of yarn. After replaying this vid a few times, I got the hang of the HDC & now have a third of a scarf in my hands! Thank you so much Robin.

Thank you for much for this video. I’ve been trying to wrap my mind around the HDC for a few days and every other video was just too fast and unclear. This was perfect. Thank you!

Hey 👋🏼 this helped me so much! Question, I’m struggling because my hook is going between the yarn strands if that makes sense? Is it because my yarn isn’t good enough (it was very cheap!) or is it something I’m doing?
I found some old cord/tshirt type yarn that’s helped me learn - but would like to try with some more traditional wool xx

Hi.... Thank you for your wonderful video.... Can I please ask you roughly how many stitches I would need to make a blanket? Does it have to be even an even number of stitches, or can I just stop the foundation chain when I think it's wide enough? ... Kind regards from Maggie.

You can stop whenever it's wide enough! 😃
