Just keep messing around with the weapon action and weaving different stuff together and you'll get the hang of it. My reflexes aren't that great either and I'm also kinda slow at times, muscle memory is what carries me :D

Just grab either cleasis (later upgrade to schvelle), trailblazers or rivalate units slap a simple affix like Arks Fever, Arks Max, Doom 1, Ex alles de soul and a grace n u should be 200+ pp.
That would be awesome! Though I'm not sure if that will ever happen since a lot of the scion class's perks were spread out over other NGS classes and systems. But I would love to be proved wrong.

The tree I use is exactly the same as the one you see on screen during the skill tree section, but I have high pp so I leave phantom stream at like 2 points and take 3 points of lord of thorn.
This class is very different from Etoile where the meter builds up. I'm not so good with telling when an enemy is about to hit me or about to defend at the right moment. Still, it is nice that you get to use a rifle.
A caution: in multiplayer mob clearing environment, keep in mind that enemy in freeze state cannot be gathered by PAs/techs like Zondeel. Rabarta is rather good at freezing enemy. It isn't an end of the world, but it can get annoying even for yourself.
I'm glad Ph and Et are not restrictive unlike Hero. As much as I like the flex potential it has, it hurts my brain in the long run and sometimes I just want one weapon all day to get things done with style.
There's a feature that lets you change and set different camera angles in the quick menus. I mess around with that a lot until I find the right angle for whatever I'm doing.
Any guess as to how long till etoile? you're basically THE guy I go to on classes now because you have the best break down on youtube for pso2 class breakdowns.
Aa long as you have 2 lvl 75 classes and then pick up the title for having such, the client order from Cody will be there to unlock phantom. There are no dlc content in this game outside of cosmetics and that's more of a pack than a dlc.

does phantom rod focus outdps fo/te ? it looks like it can do pretty much anything force can except pp regen while charging and move while casting but has other ways to compensate for it
Forgive me if this is a strange question or if it's been asked already but if you wanted to main assault rifle with phantom but still mix in some tech casting, would Schvall Mirage/Nova be the best option since it has built in T-Atk?
Your message was cut off a bit. But in general, other BiS 15 star weapons have MUCH higher base damage and some pretty crazy potentials and s grade augment slots too. I don't think it's worth using Schvall Mirage at this point.
I'll consider it but there aren't too many actual combos for scion classes, just use whatever you think works best in the current situation, even if that means spamming. Head on over to the rockbear practice and spend some time just messing around and I guarantee you'll pick a few things up.
How are you doing Shift massenvernichtungs? I've been trying to get this to work and it's not.. It's not just holding down the shift button while casting the PA?
you press weapon action, then just use the pa when the white ring appears its not that hard, this is how its done for every phantom skill, use Weapon action, then us PA when white ring appears.

Just came back to this game after a break. I've been throwing daily/weekly exp into the scion classes. It appears I can set phantom as subclass but if I do I won't be able to use PAs with Phantom weapons? Or am I doing something wrong?
if I had to guess, I think its because most bosses are immune to status effects but not Jellen so you're more likely to get use out of it than not. Its also virtually guaranteed to be applied as a phantom unlike other status effects !^^.
@blac for some reason I can’t access phantom on a fresh toon. I have all other classes above 75. For my fresh toon, it says I need to get a class to 75 so that I can unlock cofy’s CO. Idk if this a bug or a requirement they added.
@@jamesm.3801 Oh, if this is anything like Hero, A fresh toon won't get the prompt about scion unlock quests until you log out and log back in to them.

So, does mark pp and hp drain only work once at three moment mark is full it does it continuously heal if you don't detonate? Like heal for attacks similar to lifestealing augment?

So im gonna start playing this game and this class has scythes but of course i need 2 lvl 75 classes to play it lol. So i gotta speedrun 2 characters before i can start playing the game with the class i want to play? Its so confusing lol.
Yeah it's my longest video so far, but it has everything in one place! I used to split up all my class videos into 3 videos per class to keep them short.("Class Basics", Photon Arts, and Skill Trees). If you added all those up, it would probably be over 20 minutes per video. With timeline timestamps being I thing, I don't want to split stuff up as much anymore.
@@skycaldwel8356 100%, survability is essentially any skills/abilities that give to the player defensive bonuses, phantom does NOT give you any of that as a subclass, this is either good or bad depending on your playstyle, for example, if you take too many hits in battle you would want to search for another subclass that keeps you on the field for longer periods of time, however if you barely take any hits in battle this subclass is good for you, since what you probably would be looking for is to boost you offensive capabilities which this class gives a ton of that (just for specific classes tho, ex. Br, Bo)
@@skycaldwel8356 Taking a look at phantoms skill tree, what can be used as a subclass doesn't give any survivability/safety nets/damage reduction. There are some things in there like focus accumulation and move speed while casting that can keep you safer too, but that's on a class per class basis. In general phantom is mostly known for giving damage and some other really nice quality of life stuff like crit, cast speed, dex mag, and so on when used as a sub.
Every weapon has a different potential and s grade augment slots, so it's up to you to use whatever fits best for you. A Rivelate, and soon to be Ayer and Klaus will be the strongest weapons though.
@@JackSplains thank you for the help greatly appreciate it, I know theres differences in the weapons, im not asking for the no1 best just some great suggestions to aim for as right now certain crafting ingredients/items are limited in number till new content so knowing which few weapons I should possibly focus on is great to know because raw power isnt everything and some weapon specials are better than others, thats all I was trying to find out just some suggestions would of been nice in the guide

phantom as a subclass won't give you as much as etoile. Ranger doesn't take advantage of phantoms focus build bonus and your techs won't be useful as a damage option; though it does give you access to some good stuff like Ilzonde/Safoie-0 and Nabareta-0 without the appropriate skills of Te or Bo your buffs and support skills like Zanverse will be less effective and have a smaller area and if multiple people use it Zanverse does not stack you can end up overwriting a better cast of it. You can heal yourself tho. Etoile won't give you the tech access and buffs the core of ranger more, you get a big damage reduction in return for only healing via items and a bit of an odd skill that benefits spamming techs in sets of 3 so good for sniping and the tankiness makes it a lot safer to snipe or satelite whenever. Etoile also works better with a ranged mag, where phantom wants a dex mag but you wouldn't be using melee or much tech anyway.

Phantom sub is still pretty good and it can be fun its just a little wonky and I found myself defensively casting techs for the s that didn't end up doing much xD the lack of any defense in phantom kind of hurts ranger since it has none too
2 seconds in, then it show another boss, then goes back to the first one. Apologies, idk the names as I'm still new to pso2 and still trying to find all these cool camos/skins. 😅
That's Masquerade, you can fight him by doing the Area Survey: Remnants of Other Worlds Ultimate quest. You get 50 tries a day, and it goes up to floor 1000, getting progressively harder each time. You can also redo any floor you want.

@@joelmartinez2896 Each and every class I play has unique binds and usually ends up using 3 subpalletes and 3-6 weapon palletes each. I can't stress enough that this is something I've come up with over years of playing this game and doing what feels most comfortable for me, and is not always the best example for others. I'm honestly not sure, it's been years since I've touched base pso2. However I don't think they changed anything recently, so if only one is required, its been like that for a while.
You get one per character, but if you want more than 1 on a single char you'd need to buy another one from the cash shop. It's relatively inexpensive for how helpful it can be to have different mags.

Using the Limited Time Quest helped me get 2 classes to 75 within a day, if that's something you're willing to do... rather boring, be warned.

I know it's late, but Hero is the easiest class to learn, even more so than normal classes. Not to mention, it has all tools to do all kind of damage.
I love the look of this class's gameplay! A pity I can't pull of even the most basic of combos cuz I have the reflexes of a rock :(

Having never played PSO2 before, this video single handedly makes me want to main a Phantom
Unfortunately, to unlock Phantom (or Hero, or Etoile), you have to achieve level 75 in two classes
Getting that 200PP minimum feels like the hardest part for me.

weapon action followed by PA will shift the chosen PA - or like he said you can get the L ring that shifts PA's every dodge aswell.

So, does mark pp and hp drain only work once at three moment mark is full it does it continuously heal if you don't detonate? Like heal for attacks similar to lifestealing augment?
You just get hp or pp when popping a purple marker.

This class looks cooler than I thought. RIP my Force, my man. Still Techter main, now people can stop laughing at my Fighter sub and feel empathy as they die with me because they are all Phantom sub instead of Hunter. :v

TePh and TeEt are extremely popular options, and FoPh while inferior in some cases (Fire) still has great modifiers.

Yeah it's my longest video so far, but it has everything in one place! I used to split up all my class videos into 3 videos per class to keep them short.("Class Basics", Photon Arts, and Skill Trees). If you added all those up, it would probably be over 20 minutes per video. With timeline timestamps being I thing, I don't want to split stuff up as much anymore.
Now what i really want to know, how do i get the scythe camo? People told me you can get it on the story mode

It's a camo that was a reward for participating in a campaign for episode 6. I don't think it's available anymore.

@@skycaldwel8356 100%, survability is essentially any skills/abilities that give to the player defensive bonuses, phantom does NOT give you any of that as a subclass, this is either good or bad depending on your playstyle, for example, if you take too many hits in battle you would want to search for another subclass that keeps you on the field for longer periods of time, however if you barely take any hits in battle this subclass is good for you, since what you probably would be looking for is to boost you offensive capabilities which this class gives a ton of that (just for specific classes tho, ex. Br, Bo)
@@skycaldwel8356 Taking a look at phantoms skill tree, what can be used as a subclass doesn't give any survivability/safety nets/damage reduction. There are some things in there like focus accumulation and move speed while casting that can keep you safer too, but that's on a class per class basis. In general phantom is mostly known for giving damage and some other really nice quality of life stuff like crit, cast speed, dex mag, and so on when used as a sub.
So I got the title accepted although I only got one class to 75 but i cant turn in the misson to cofy I'm so confused
Get a 2nd class to 75, check titles again, then go from there.

Every weapon has a different potential and s grade augment slots, so it's up to you to use whatever fits best for you. A Rivelate, and soon to be Ayer and Klaus will be the strongest weapons though.
@@JackSplains thank you for the help greatly appreciate it, I know theres differences in the weapons, im not asking for the no1 best just some great suggestions to aim for as right now certain crafting ingredients/items are limited in number till new content so knowing which few weapons I should possibly focus on is great to know because raw power isnt everything and some weapon specials are better than others, thats all I was trying to find out just some suggestions would of been nice in the guide

I was wondering, is it okay to make phantom be my subclass and my main class is ranger? and also my mag is ranged
phantom as a subclass won't give you as much as etoile. Ranger doesn't take advantage of phantoms focus build bonus and your techs won't be useful as a damage option; though it does give you access to some good stuff like Ilzonde/Safoie-0 and Nabareta-0 without the appropriate skills of Te or Bo your buffs and support skills like Zanverse will be less effective and have a smaller area and if multiple people use it Zanverse does not stack you can end up overwriting a better cast of it. You can heal yourself tho.
Etoile won't give you the tech access and buffs the core of ranger more, you get a big damage reduction in return for only healing via items and a bit of an odd skill that benefits spamming techs in sets of 3 so good for sniping and the tankiness makes it a lot safer to snipe or satelite whenever. Etoile also works better with a ranged mag, where phantom wants a dex mag but you wouldn't be using melee or much tech anyway.

Phantom sub is still pretty good and it can be fun its just a little wonky and I found myself defensively casting techs for the s that didn't end up doing much xD the lack of any defense in phantom kind of hurts ranger since it has none too

What's that purple boss at the beginning, and can you get his weapon/camo?
There's a few that are purple-ish in the begging. At which timecode is it?

That's Masquerade, you can fight him by doing the Area Survey: Remnants of Other Worlds Ultimate quest. You get 50 tries a day, and it goes up to floor 1000, getting progressively harder each time. You can also redo any floor you want.

@@JackSplains my bad that was vague bro lol, what I meant to say was, what skills do you put on your weapon palette to use. For instance, I use all of my given scion abilities but that won't give me much room for techs..kinda wanted to see how u set yours up
@@joelmartinez2896 Each and every class I play has unique binds and usually ends up using 3 subpalletes and 3-6 weapon palletes each. I can't stress enough that this is something I've come up with over years of playing this game and doing what feels most comfortable for me, and is not always the best example for others. So PLEASE only use this as a guideline if anything.

Is it still 2 classes? I think this 2023 you need at least 1 class to level 75, no need 2 classes. Correct me If I'm wrong
I'm honestly not sure, it's been years since I've touched base pso2. However I don't think they changed anything recently, so if only one is required, its been like that for a while.
So I need a pure Dex Mag? How does one get multiple Mags again?
You get one per character, but if you want more than 1 on a single char you'd need to buy another one from the cash shop. It's relatively inexpensive for how helpful it can be to have different mags.
Do I need to have my Mag Full of Energy for it to attack with Mag Excite?
Yeah you need to keep it fed
