Stingray is an inspiration to big guys everywhere. You do not have to be slim, trim, ripped, or buffed to be a badass fighter. What you need is skill and a warrior's heart. Btw, I love how Stingray mimics Miyagi-Sensei's fighting posture from Karate Kid I. OSS!!! 🥋
You know one area when Stingray explains his story of what happened on a game board and was too afraid to standup for what Silver did to him, almost put me in tears. Being Traumatized and not knowing how to deal with it, is a horror all on its own. They played that scene so well. Watching this scene with Stingray waking up and kicking some ass, even if it's some kids, is way awesome! Go, Stingray!
I like how they don't caricaturize him and overplay the manchild joke. Like he is a manchild and that clearly is something he's working on, there isn't a lot of ways to fix it.
I had a teacher who was exactly like Terry Silver so seeing him finally stand up for himself was one of my favorite moments in the show. I also had a John Kreese karate instructor and my dad reminded me an awful lot of Johnny Lawrence. That's probably why I found the show so good.

Because Stingray knows Daniel is way superior to him and can kick his ass. He's terrified of both Silver and Kreese. And admits he's not that brave or tough, joined because he wanted to fit in and have some purpose in his life.
