The first cover of Let it Go will always mean something because it was how I discovered Caleb. 8 years later and Caleb has grown so much and you can tell in this cover. You can also see how well that first cover is too because while improvements are almost guaranteed after 8 years, it still holds up.

@@moonamoonz has nothing to do with the original being female. This also isn’t THE male version, many have existed. I just love Celeb’s vocals and I don’t particularly like Menzel’s vocals in the original. I’ve listened to many covers and like them, but this one actually made me like the song itself and not just as a cover. The softer instrumental also helps a lot, always thought the original was too dynamic for a song that was meant to symbolize a character’s emotional acceptance of her new circumstances

OMAGOSH I love how at the beginning, Caleb uses a lower tone, more cold and controlled, as how Elsa in the beginning was restricted to be the “calm, collected, and perfect son” with the whole “conceal don’t feel thing”. But as he let’s it go, he also let’s go in a singing sense cuz DANG that was AMAZING, but anyways, it symbolizes how you can feel how he[Elsa] is now singing more confidently and freely, which is just _chef’s kiss_ AMAZING MUSICAL STORYTELLING!

I don’t know what I was expecting with an overplayed song like this, but HOLY FRICK, THIS WAS AMAZING. The high notes threw me for a loop and sustaining those longer notes? Holy fox, dude. If I had tried to hit/hold those notes, I woulda ended up going off-key and hurting my own ears and probably wrecking my vocal chords in the process.
You can really tell how much you've improved over the 8 years since the first cover of this song. Awesome job, man!

Caleb singing Let it Go again, man it's come full circle. This was the song that introduced me to Caleb in the first place, and is almost nostalgic to me at this point? When he released his cover, I was in my last leg of high school and showed one of my choir buddies his cover. We both were blown away by the power and range that we couldn't come close to hitting. So much so we'd blast the cover in the car as we went anywhere that season, trying to see how long we could sing before having to bow out (kinda like what most people do with Take On Me)
It's awesome to see how much you've grown both vocally and as a channel since then. Love everything you do.

Honestly this cover is great, and while I know bringing up real world issues can cause...well...issues. The line about "conceal, don't feel" is a real thing lots of men grew up on...and its not healthy.
But besides that, it was wonderful to hear your voice once again Caleb!

"conceal, don't feel" still hits me hard. Without going into too much detail for obvious reasons, it was a big selfmade issue for me for a long time, so yeah I get what you mean. These covers kinda hit close to home.

I remember the very first time I heard this song, I had only just discovered your channel at the time, and even now, I frequent it constantly, I know you are busy with your practice live video right now but I thought I would leave this message. You have given me more courage for my singing and now I’m able to sing higher than I normally would be able to. And with more practice, I was able to sing in a more masculine voice which was all I wished since I had a male character of mine that I wanted to sing as for a long time. Your first cover of this song gave me inspiration to learn how to sing. I used to sing all the time as a child, but when my voice got deeper it became exceedingly difficult to sing my favorite songs. I absolutely love hearing these covers done by different people, I ended up here thanks to a collab between Caleb and Annapantsu and I am so happy about it. This song is really inspiring and motivational to seek out your own path and don’t let others tell you who to be. This song actually inspired me to write a spin off of my own for a character in a story, Darkness Rises, as he finds out he is a vampire from a curse and that his family abandoned him he spirals into a desire for vengeance and though he has doubts, he is willing to defy the Gods themselves and become what he is. To reign as the King of the Night and seek vengeance upon those who wronged him.
