Right now I would KILL for Disney to make a film about a soft, kind-hearted prince whos expected to marry a princess and become king but he refuses and sets off on a journey to be who he truly wants to be and not a handsome prince or a knight in shining armour. He could also meet some friends on the way who make him love himself for who he truly is and not who hus father expects him to be. DISNEY MAKE MY IDEA HAPPEN. PLEASE
I like the idea of him being straight yet soft and vulnerable because people seem to categorize a male being vulnerable and soft as him being gay. So for him to be straight and emotionally vulnerable, though without needing a strong girl to help guide and support him and his emotions - as he finds he own way to be strong - would be wonderful.
Sarah Legrande you’re right but he isn’t considered as part of the official Disney prince line up, but rather a Disney hero. (Even though he is a god prince!) Definitely need a prince movie to feature the main male character be the lead. They could do it based on a fairy tale or something original.

PERFECTION🥰🥰🥰❣❣❣❣❣❣ May Disney see this and finally decide to make a movie about some prince who follows his dreams and show lil boys its ok to show emotions!!
Firstly, Idina Menzel's voice brought down to a lower "male" pitch still retains her beautiful, airy, and clear head voice which is so prominent in this song, not even to mention her strong and unmatched chest voice. Which then becomes an extraordinary falsetto full of emotion you often don't see from male singers, as it is quite difficult to achieve and control. Secondly, the presentation of a Prince Elsa, a young man searching for his sense of identity, has only been portrayed by Disney once before in Hercules. But even in that movie, it doesn't even begin to compare to the amount of pride, happiness, relief, that you feel through this animatic and song. You feel everything that the character would be feeling. This artist has truly done something remarkable. From reading other comments as well as obviously experiencing it for myself, the artist has shown how important it is to have this kind of representation in our media to young kids, especially boys. Having never had a character like this in my childhood memory, except perhaps Simba maybe, I can just say personally I would be much better off had I been able to see a character like this in a Disney film. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
I hate that despite how absolutely fantastic this is, Disney could never have the creativity or care to create a movie with a vulnerable, kind hearted and fragile prince, who instead of being a strong man straight away, he goes on a journey to discover what it means to be strong - and that doesn't mean not showing emotions, or winning over the girl, or having an impressive body. Give me a soft Elsa prince who cares about his family and longs to find his true self rather than bottling up his emotions inside like he's "expected" to do as a future king/leader/man. I feel like if Disney could pull off a movie like that, it'd be so influencial on so many boys who believe that being a man means holding back your emotions and not saying how you really feel other than aggression, because for some reason "sadness = weakness".
I showed this to my 6 year old son along with "How Far I'll Go." He was riveted and asked very quietly, "Are there more of these?" He's a rough and tumble kid with a very strong emotional side, and there's just not a lot of that for him to relate to. Thanks for making this.
Y'all are talking abt how we need a soft Disney prince but How are there only a few comments on how attractive male Elsa is (Edit)Wow guys, thx for all the likesss😄🤗
I legit didnt even notice it was just a pitch corrected version of idina until i came down to the comments. But in retrospect it shoulda been obvious given it's sung in the exact same way with the exact same word emphasis.
Actually For frozen one, I think let it go is more like into the unknown, both are heavily hyped up for, both are amazing, both are a teeny bit overrated (nothing wrong w/ that, just shows it's liked by many) Then in frozen 2, I think show yourself is more like for the first time in forever (the second time later in the film with Elsa and Anna) because both are underrated, are both spoilers for the movie, both are amazing, both are a huge part of the plot, etc...
How attractive male Elsa is? Guys, the artist deserves the credit for making such an amazing character! It's not like he just existed. She made him! And he's GREAT. THANK YOU CARMENLEE. I LOVED THE WHOLE VIDEO
I've been a huge Frozen and Elsa fan since i was little. When i went to the cinema to watch Frozen II i cried with this song, and i'm crying again! i loved male Elsa's voice and your art is so beautiful!
Take the Acapella version, then lower the key using Audacity. It's easier and effective... but if he could do that, why change the gender of Elsa's mom tho?
@@VanessaDMusic i knew it! at first i was really impressed at how good his voice is and how much he sounds like idina, but then he sounded too similar to her so i'd thought this must've been edited
I was ready to applaud the singer for his high notes - you find so few tenors in music that reach their full potential there. It's still an amazing video with the storyboard, of course!
Disney is going in the right direction by making strong female characters who don’t need a man to save them or protect them, but now they need to take another step and make emotionally vulnerable princes who learn to be strong and go on journeys of self discovery, not necessarily a weak becomes strong trope but just self expression, emotions, acceptance, relief, sadness, everything that princesses usually get, let the boys see that they can be a strong prince who can save the day, but it’s ok if they need saving every so often as well, that it’s ok for them to be emotional, it’s ok to not know who they are yet. Legalize boys learning to become men through means of emotional awareness and being comfortable in expressing those emotions.
And then slowly start making some gay people Because if Disney makes gay charecters, even minor charecters, it shows the kids that being gay is ok, and thats something we really need, especially now.
@@bi_beans9011 That's not entirely gayness. What's wrong with guys being emotional? Like they say to guys, crying isn't a sign of weakness. It's okay for them to cry, wherever, whenever.
Denise Manalang they are saying that once they do what Dorian said they can slowly start making gay characters to show kids it’s okay and not be ashamed. Ik there is already a few gay characters. That’s what they were trying to say.
@@jomarvazquez2815 As a religious being, no I cannot accept gay characters. However, as the majority of the people in society would say, what's wrong with being gay? But again, emotional guys don't seem gay at all to me. If they love another guy, then it's gay. But if it's just finding yourself and the path you wanna take, anybody can do that, not necessarily just gay people.
Denise Manalang there’s nothing wrong with being gay. I didn’t say that guys being emotional is gay. You can be straight abs sympathetic. Religion has nothing to do with this tho
Edit: Lovely video! Should have said that already. Disney, you have 10 years to give me a human prince trying to figure himself out without the help of a love interest or I'll make myself. I'll wait.
The fact that the original version made me so emotional and that this male version is also making me feel the same emotions i felt i can't we need a disney prince movie that also has the powerful vocals and emotions like ugh words can't express
Honestly I like this version a whole lot more then the actual one I wish we could have some disney prince's that would be cool we need more boy mains for disney
I love the concept of an emotionally vulnerable love-interest-free prince just trying to find himself. Disney has the power to shift culture. Normalize 👏🏻 men 👏🏻 having 👏🏻 feelings 👏🏻 Also, for any straight men out there. Women love an emotionally intelligent man. Show off your senstive side!
Guys don’t listen to tryst purty princess person they are probably a troll if not then ignore her anyways women like her are for the streets fellas keep your chin up 👑
Purty Princess really thought you were going to back your statement up with solid evidence. don’t expect everyone to be on your side when all you do is talk bs 🤷♀️
everyone is commenting about Disney would never make a movie like this, with a male main character trying to follow his dreams etc. like guys, did you never watch the treasure planet?
Treasure planet was bomb, I'm glad he didn't have a love interest, at least not that I can remember. But I didn't think he was a prince, just a normal guy. I believe they are saying that they want a male prince who isn't afraid of showing his vulnerability and doesn't act like he's "tough".
I'm rewatching this for the nth time and I still can't get over the fact that his facial expressions are so vividly drawn like seriously it makes me feel..... emotions
I have such a big crush o him lol I swear i´d die for a disney prince whose entire story isn´t solved by a romantic interest proving his masculinity or shit and is actually vulnerable shows feelings and is full of dreams and hopes and its flawed goes through a personal discovering journey and everyone can watch it an teaches little boys that a real man is vulnerable and sensitive and human and you don't have to hide this to be one and Besides there is a great chance that if disney does this i would fall for this character like male elsa is so attractive to me hahahahaha and i think this is mainly due to the cause that he is showing vulnerability and real emotions and i loooooooove that Thanks for coming to my ted talk
Legit I need that, cause like I love frozen 1 + 2 cause of Elsa and the problems she goes through and I can relate with it to a certain extent. This is why I need a male version of elsa so my friends don't laugh at me for loving frozen 1 + 2 lol.
Well, remember when Frozen came out the first time and everyone was talking about how overdue a princess without a love interest was? I firmly believe we will see something of this sort in the next 30 years.
I'd rather a male protagonist with a plotline more like frozen's, about self discovery and acceptance, because a man showing his emotions in mainstream media is well overdue, but a Disney prince as a protagonist is a Disney prince nevertheless, and it would be great.
The reason why Disney doesn’t have lots of male leading characters is because they weren’t in demand. Especially in the beginning of disney. It was explained by one of the first few upper workers in the Walt Disney company that little girls everywhere were obsessed with princesses (still are) and that’s why the majority are female lead or have some princess/leading figure
I'm Not Markimoo yeah I feel like having a prince in the lineup would kinda defeat the purpose of the strong powerful woman (well more so now) theme. But I am so for a movie more centered around how it’s ok for guys to show “weakness” or emotions.
AL_emonade Agree, unfortunately it just wouldn’t make money for them and as you know big companies have the bigger view of those money signs than anything
I think that Disney should have a prince as a main character who has powers, and all that other stuff set in a world similar to tangled or Frozen. Although it shouldn't really matter if he is gay or straight, I think he should be straight so that it can tell young boys that they can be more feminine and still be attracted to women.
I think what I love most about this is that elsa and male Elsa have the same movements and it's not difficult to accept. I know when people see male ariel they immediately think "wimpy" male and can't help pointing out the "feminine" qualities in him and not just see a male version as if males can't be sensitive but here it's just so natural because both versions no matter male or female are just the same strong people who've gone through some self Discovery and aren't afraid to show it anymore and can have the same mannerisms and not have to question which part is more masculine and which is feminine they're just people. If that makes sense hopefully.
Kristoff is the first male character in Disney who sings a song about his confusion about love. Hello.
And the clip isn’t even serious

@Christabel Lille 😂 bro, his LOW notes are higher than my self esteem 😂
Christabel Lille 😂😂 nice one

@@foresttnari thats disappointing because if it was a guy singing it would be so cool

I agree. For me, Show Yourself is the True “Let It Go” successor.
Marvel Disneyfan Right? It even has the outfit change. 😂
Actually For frozen one, I think let it go is more like into the unknown, both are heavily hyped up for, both are amazing, both are a teeny bit overrated (nothing wrong w/ that, just shows it's liked by many)
Then in frozen 2, I think show yourself is more like for the first time in forever (the second time later in the film with Elsa and Anna) because both are underrated, are both spoilers for the movie, both are amazing, both are a huge part of the plot, etc...
I could literally listen to Idina's voice lowered all day
Just to clarify, into the unknown is definitely not overrated. It’s a very hard song to sing, plus I find it very endearing and luring.

And then slowly start making some gay people
Because if Disney makes gay charecters, even minor charecters, it shows the kids that being gay is ok, and thats something we really need, especially now.

HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I WATCHED THIS ITS STILL SO AMAZING

Lynn Torres or Thomas Sanders
This comment actually got me thinking: YES YES PLEASE! *SOMEONE TELL THIS TO A DISNEY WORKER!!!*
Lynn Torres EXACTLYYY
Brendon would be a Disney villain the POSSIBILITIES
I also think it was cause sexism was still really high when Disney started, so having girls as main characters helped people do less of that
Origami Ashoka I’m actually not too sure about that, because we didn’t have any strong female leads for awhile.
I'm Not Markimoo agree but just the idea of a female lead was enough I guess?
I think that Disney should have a prince as a main character who has powers, and all that other stuff set in a world similar to tangled or Frozen. Although it shouldn't really matter if he is gay or straight, I think he should be straight so that it can tell young boys that they can be more feminine and still be attracted to women.
*YES*
yasss i need representation of straight guys who can be feminine too
And even if he's gay it shouldn't be the main defining character trait
@@kittenmimi5326 perioddd
That's exactly what I was going to comment
I would really like to have a movie that portrayed a prince as sensitive, emotional, and caring. Someone we could relate to
I think what I love most about this is that elsa and male Elsa have the same movements and it's not difficult to accept.
This. Just. *This*
