I give you props Matthew I’m a mechanic at a lexus dealer and I got used to using the lifts up to the point where sometimes I g2 do family cars at home and the next day my back and knees are killing me so sore from not being used to it. A street mechanic is another kind of breed. Keep on wrenching bro and much more success to you also!
You dont use impact guns on those pullers and presses, it can damage them, everybody tryna replace hand tools with ratchets will soon realize, its better by hand, id rather not cross thread nuts and destroy everything using an impact gun, i only use them to remove bolts and nuts, never to tighten
@@VC-TV this for sure, I love the impact wrench and driver like the next guys but....when I put things back in its by hand so I dont cross thread or send it too hard...
When you punched yourself in your face I wanted to give you a dewalt or Milwaukee impact wrench to use on the ball joint press. Ain’t nobody got time to use a ratchet! lol good job keep it up.
@@victorxify1 hes referring to the press tool, you should really only use a breaker bar with the press tool to avoid damage to a ratchet or to the threads on the tool
I don’t know what kind of tools you guys are using but with grease and not being and animal on it I’ve had the same ball joint tool for like 10 years now and not stopped it yet. Buy better tools I guess if you’re worried.
Reminds me what happened to a friend once: I pull up to his place and he's hollowing out a catalytic converter on a customer's car with a big hammer and chisel...he slips and mashes his hand with the hammer. He turns to his wife who was watching, and with an expression of severe pain on his face, just says in a calm low voice: "The price just went up". :D
I'm out north. Pine and Lewis, motor alley. I'm telling you, brother, new cars are getting so high, that mechanics are about to take over the world. You're developing a reputation. You will be able to expand, soon. Just keep grinding. Thanks for the content.
I see cars on the side of the road this happens to and I'm always hoping it never happens to me. Glad I put an old Ford Dana 60 Kingpin axle on my 2002 Chevy, solid axle swap, when I lifted it 11 inches and put 40 inch tires on.

Get you a good cordless impact, will save you time. I have a Milwaukee 2962-20 1/2 impact, ordered from Amazon. They’re pretty strong it loosened my axle nut when i was replacing my ball joint in my civic.
You need to spend money on better tools man if you're breaking your stuff on non rusted parts. You'd be going broke working in states with salted roads.
Question, I genuinely don’t care but was curious. New to the the channel but in the beginning when you had to work on it in the ladies drive way. Did you clean up the mess and is that something you could be held liable for?
Should of recommended to do both sides now, even check rear suspension. sounded like he wanted you to work work work. Rear main seal leak, SHAKES on the expedition. 🤣
I’m glad I live in pa where we do car inspections every year. I know he was only backing up, but imagine if he was on yhe highway doing 70 and that gave out
Why he using hand tools?? My Milwaukee mid torque has saved my knuckles and back! This guy puts in a lot of work.. just curious.. even a cheapo from Wally world or harbor freight. Ill never take a tire off with a breaker bar again unless caught off guard
ball joint press break in half. Breaker bar came back and hit me in the head. I went stumbling across the shop. Fell up against a car hit the back of my head. I used a hammer.
200 bucks labor for a ball joint and tie rod end repair is crazy, not to mention all of the extra time, expenses, and headache of working mobile. You gotta start charging more man, you’re cheating yourself.
When you’re wrenching, trying to remove the outer control, steering linkage and I’m looking at your thin gloves about to smash your knuckles. If it popped off the bolt or if you broke the boat loose, do you think thicker gloves, or you need some impact tools
Yeah, you need to half inch impact you just smack the shit out of your face bro and you’re supposed to use an impact tool for that remover ball joint kit
“Man I’m even chargin em for punchin myself in the face”😂😂😂😂😂
“holy shit dude 😨” 😂😂😂
Takes a lot of confidence to do what your doing. Good job
how so? are you that scared of working on a car ? 😂😂😂😂

That's probly why the threads on that ball joint press were stripped because they used a impact on it lol

Just use a bigger socket on the ball joint puller to bypass the stripped out area i had to do that before
That holy shit gave me a good laugh.

You have to get a cordless impact wrench.
Couldn't you put anything in-between the ball joint press to take up some room so the good threads could push it?
