Regina George in Broadway is different than Regina on film. I think she didn't have the essence of Rachel McAdam's Regina George.
I get Angourie Rice's Cady and her essence is similar to Lindsay Lohan Cady but I don't get it in the Plastics casting. Even Aaron Samuels (Jonathan Bennet) before is better.

These three are obviously very talented but they need some coaching on how to be engaged with their interviewer and how to promote this movie. The marketing team seems to be struggling with who they want to come to this movie and what it wants to be. These actors seem confused and anxious about it's release...I find all the press around this release very strange at best. I want it to succeed but fearful it won't find it's audience?
i don't know about the others but renee has been on tour for the past few months and you can see that she is getting really tired for a while now also her personality is a bit like that if you watch more intereviews of her but also i really don't think she had time for herself in months
I thought this interview was strange too, but idk if it's the actors or the interviewer...

Even though Regina is a mean girl she still had a sense of poise with Mcadams portrayal. and I love how humble Rachel mcadams seems in real life, and I can’t stand how full of herself Renee seems, I think Renee honestly is just playing herself.

I wish it were more Mean Girls looking. This honestly doesn't look like it's supposed to be Mean Girls, 2004-adjacent or the musical. I know it's supposed to be an amalgamation of the two and being it's own thing... but it's honestly looking weak and sad in effort.

Man, i want to be hopeful about this movie...but i really don't know about this... obviously I'm a fan of the original and i might still watch the new movie but idk something just feels really lacking and i bet you they will turn this into one big "woke" party and they're going to officially RUIN the entire legacy of Mean Girls... i know this is supposedly not meant to be a "reboot" or a "remake" but a lot of scenes are CLEARLY references from the old original movie.... i don't want to speak badly about this but i also have to be honest and express my true honest opinion on this movie. I just REALLY hope that it doesn't tank...😐😬😬
they're adapting the musical to the big screen so yeah it'll feel like a remake because they have to follow the plot. But inclusivity isn't necessarily woke they're not going to dumb down every insult. It's mean girls. they'll be fine.

it's been a broadway musical since 2018 -- one that nominated for 11 tony awards. this is not a reboot, it's an adaptation of the musical. it will never compete with the original because it's not trying to, similar to how the broadway musical was able to stand on its own.
ITS NOT A REBOOT! If you where that big of a fan you would know that Tina Fey worked on the musical since 2018.
