CIS is under rated in the imperial era, no way a military of that size just went away without hold outs
They did have hold outs. The Empire spent it’s first few years crushing them in the Reconquest of the Rim
@@justintaylor1713 he meant it’d be impossible for the cis to not have holdouts
Personally I think a good 50% of the alliance is made up of ex CIS.
@@aldraone-mu5yg I'd say it's about maybe 10-20% tops. The Alliance was to restore the Republic remember? It's founders were Old Republic Senators, the Mon Calamari who supplied most of the Fleet were also Republic loyalists during the Clone Wars, and most of the early leadership was made up of Republic Veterans who were dissatisfied with the Empire. Even the Jabiim Rebels were the Loyalists who fought with the Republic. Plus a lot of the newer members of the Rebels were young people born during the Clone Wars or after it/ Yeah there were some ex-CIS officers and worlds who supported the CIS now in the Rebellion, but ideologically the CIS was basically null and the they were fighting to end the Empire.
And you’d be right if it weren’t for the droid shutdown commands. That disabled the entire military.
The only holdouts that existed were around because either organic commanders or the populations reactivated the droids. Or because of tactical/super tactical droids who thought it was a republic trick and ignored them.
Otherwise yeah the clone wars would have raged on for many more years.
Shame we never got to see both the Victory and the Bulwark in a movie or tv show. They are so cool and interesting to see, especially for the Bulwark with how obscure and unique it is.
@@michaelandreipalon359 i've come to realise that filoni is quite meh himself.
Werent the bullwark mark 1s in the skies above the battle of umbara?
I was going to say the same thing! I wish they were too!
Victory 1 is better
@Kirbecca sorry but no the Victory II is more of an Imperial I or II.
I think the Victory I with better Engines and Tech wear far better for the Job.
I'd like a video on the shipyards. It would be an interesting look at how the factions in Star Wars got the ships they ended up getting.
Seconded!
Third!
That Would be a pretty interesting video !
Tragic, that the Victory-Class Star Destroyer has NEVER been seen on screen on TV or film yet.
The problem is (On screen) if you need a big ship for something they use a star destroyer, and if they need a small ship they use an Arquitens.
@@aldraone-mu5yg ReMeBer tHe StAr deStrOyer?! I clapped when i saw it.
The arquintens, from clone wars.
I clapped when i saw it.
Also probably, it would "cost too much" to create a new model
Yeah quite sad.
@@jobt1999 your not a fan of star wars naval combat
@@aggravatedfruit_au he only cares about nostalgia for his own work :)
I love that so many modders of Empire at War find and create these vessels for a wider audience to experience and see first hand. Amazing to see a real 3d model at work destroying clone ships in the background lol
Looks like a horseshoe crab. Which has the distinction of being the only organism has remained unchanged for millions of years whilst also containing the most expensive blood on earth. Truly a perfect species
I don’t understand. Why would anyone want the blood of a horseshoe crab? Let alone, spend money for it.
@@Alligator81 horseshoe crab blood is used to test vaccines for contamination
@@ryanhuddleston5321 No kidding. I’ll have to look into that. Sounds interesting.
@@Alligator81 It really is! :D
Physiologically, sure, but genetically and at the molecular level they've continued to evolve.
It's just that they had no pressures to change much morphologically, and had pressures to remain as they have been since before our ancestors evolved jaws.
Considering how expansive some of the shipyards' histories are, I really hope for a series rather than a single video. Kuat, Fondor, Corellia, Mon Cala, and Sienar must have enough to each get their own videos.
I love these obscure ships
The Bulwark is so good. The Mark III is one of my favorite ships in the Alliance navy. It's a shame ships like this and the Dauntless aren't seen that often.
Funny, it looks like the _Dauntless_ from Star Trek.
I'd like to see more CIS ships covered. Really enjoyed this one.
YES! When will we have a video that goes over the obscure CIS ships we see in the “Starfighter” video games?!
Always liked the bulky design of this ship, wish it was used by the CIS in Cannon. Also definitely want the video about the shipyards and ship designers!
We definitely need more videos about shipyards alone
Great video as always
Shipyards and associated topics would be amazing. Love hearing about the different ships as well
As a star wars fan, and a ships geek, I'm surprised I didn't know about this ship.
Play mods to empire at war, like thrawns revenge. It has a bunch of cool ships I didnt know previously
That happens when you have a franchise that goes back decades.
@@AJ-vp6wd yeah he has to learn a lot, if he wants to be a true ship geek.
@@AJ-vp6wd 😂 Yes master.
If it isn’t a Munificent, Providence or Lucrehulk, I can guarantee that the majority of people can’t name anything else for the CIS, if that
Their ships are all very striking but we really dont get to see much from the CIS largely cause they only get 3 years to play around
theres the recusant and the ohm i think the dunbell ship
@@HeadHunterKillCounts No recusants in movies - maybe in the background of episode 3 but i dont think so
@@Theology.101 recusant are in the movies one crashes into a muunificent
@@Theology.101 there’s plenty at the battle of coruscant
@@HeadHunterKillCounts my bad then, you get the dub. Still, not as common of a ship as the other 3
I still want a comparison between the carrack light cruiser and the Arquitens
Carrack absolutely stomps.
@@DIEGhostfish Ion cannon variant most definitely the laser cannon version I think it would be closer
I would have loved if in the clone wars there was an arc where these beauties were on a rampage. Then anakin and obiwan get a new victory class star destroyer to fight them off. It would have been sick
I'd love to see an E.C. Henry version of that tank with lore from you.
I Love the Separatist designs of spaceships.
Thier is the Sabaoth destoyer it is a good Separatist/CIS space ship. In my opinion. Saw a video of it defeating and destroying the Empires Tector class star destoyer. It was a close one
One of the examples is shield penetration vs Strong Ions.
Anyway
Their is also the Republic Servator star destoyer has the fire of an ISD. It defeated the ISD• though lost to the
( ISD°°)
The Bulwark is one of my favorite Capital Ships. Its so nice to see someone discussing it.
I would love to see a video on how the Vong would react to having to deal with the defoliator tank the CIS used.
I really hoped that we would get to see the Bulwark and Victory fleets clash at Anaxes in TCW Season 7. Its a shame we haven't seen either of these ships on screen yet. Also definitely interested in a video series on the historic shipyards!
What about the S’baoth Destroyer? Those things where the equal to the venator in Republic at War.
5:30 so it would be more accurate to say that the Bulwark mk 3 was comparable in firepower to something like a Bellator class
Not quite, the MK 3 wasn't as large as a Bellator
@@ragergamer3111 It says in the video the Mk 3 was described as having firepower that rivaled an executor class back when the SSD was meant to be an 8km ship, the Bellator is a smaller star dreadnought that is the closest thing we have to a half-size executor. The timestamp didn't mention anything about the Bulwark mk 3 being similar size to it, just that it had almost as much firepower.
Very interested in more and longer ship videos!! Ship breakdowns back in 2018 were top notch and got me through hard days!
Ah yes, the ship that looks like a beef shank... gotta let it cook.
A video on the Sabaoth Destroyer and the mercenary group Sabaoth Squadron would be cool. They originate in Star Wars Jedi Starfighter, which is legends now.
Woukd live to see that video on shipwrites and manufacturers.
I had a character from Star Wars D20 that would scavange threw the halonet for shipwrites that went into public domain that really no one knew about. And try and buy them.
He retired with a few claims. And was "resto-mod" the old ships to more modern parts.
For example say I got the rights to the Dynamic-Class freighter (Ebon Hawk) and use Yt/CEC parts to rebuild the ship to spec.
So it was the ole Ebon Hawk on the outside. But all CEC modernized inside.
As each ship was "custom" that would Fetch a handsome price. And could always be modified to the customers wishes. .... within reason
Would love a video that bridges the evolution from the Venator to the Imperial Star Destroyer- how did the needs of the Empire lead to the need for such huge capital ships?
Hmm. Justine. I didn’t know it was a CIS ship. The one I truly Had was the MK III Model On Thrawns Revenge. But other then that that’s the way to bring guns to bear dude.
I really like the RAW mods design of the bulwark
I love spaceship. So a video about those that makes spaceships would be great.
I think at this point the essential guide to warfare is required reading for Eckharts videos.
Great vid Eck! I’m new to your channel but I love your content :)) I’d really like to see you talk about the Malevolence’s sister ship, The Decimation. Not much is known about it iirc, but it was basically the Death Star before the Death Star, having a large, front-facing super laser. Another topic I would potentially like to see is the very intriguing and rather violent history of the Czerka Corporation!
Or as me and my brother liked to call them, the “Oh god, not them again” Corporation. Cause we learned about them from SWTOR where it seemed like every project Czerka undertook had potentially galaxy ending consequences
LOL yeah Czerka was wilding 😭
Yah apparently the Decimation was accidentally deployed Coruscant and was destroyed by a Jedi strike team iirc, I’ll have to check Wookiepedia again since it’s a semi-reliable source
Also yeah Czerka lasted way longer than it should have, but it mainly peaked in The Old Republic era and then kinda fell off in popularity ever since from what I remember
I love this, looks a bit like a cordless vacuum
Love the beauty in ur animated sim footage videos really appreciate it og clonewars style
Hopefully one day someone brings it out in a movie or game so that we can all see it in its entire glory, the way it was ment to be portrayed!? Hopefully 🤞
Great job on the video as always!! 👍👍👍👍
The bulwark model from the EaW Republic at War mod is probably one of my favourite star wars ship designs
Great video. I honestly forgot this thing existed
I'd love a Vid focusing on all the different shipyards, very hard to find info on ones outside of Kuat, Mon Cala and the other big ones
I love the Bulwark from being the final Rebel ship unlocked in the ancient strategy game Star Wars Rebellion.
We could follow Screed and do a video on the Gladiator-class Star Destroyer, or move from TransGalMag to their apparent close partner, SoroSuub and their Quasar, Liberator, Dauntless, Cutlass, etc..
Shipyard and shipwright histories are very interesting, please do make a series on them!
Keep up the work man love hearing that intro sound spool up
I would like a longer video on the shipyards.
I honestly don’t know how eck comes up with all these video ideas
Bro the CIS navy is wicked.
An intriguing great and informative video on one of the most effective and deadly heavy warships that the CIS had in in its ranks during the war.
Have always wondered what would have happened if the Bulwark fleet had managed to coordinate their breakout from foroest with the separatist offensive into the core known as Durge's lance, As even with the victory fleet rushed into operation to combat the bulwarks, don't know, with two competing threats to their core territory, whether republic would have been able to hold the line and repel both threats.
I've watched you grow as a RUclipsr and you have become a great Star Wars RUclipsr good on ya!
the bulwark class is a really cool ship good job on the video
The Carrack-class light cruiser and the Marauder-class corvette. Couple of old favorites of mine which also had full write ups in the original Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels.
Bulwarks are the big ships that look like Bass fish. Long ago when Forces of Corruption mod Absolute Corruption was released I got interested to the new ships I’d never seen before, and I have to say the Bulwarks were some of my favorites of the Capital class in that mod.
A video on shipyards and shipwrights sounds great.
I've loved the Bulwark since Rebellion, and always found it a little sad it got no love outside of that game. Also I'd love to see your video about shipyards!
Bulwarks are really fun to use in modded Empire at War games. Just straight-forward, powerful, resilient, no-frills battle ships. And because they come in three different sizes, they're suitable for all fleet compositions. You can use Bulwark I as a screening vessel or mass several of them to take out most threats. For more serious threats, a group of Bulwark II or Bulwark III ships can comfortably plow through anything less heavily armed than, say, an Allegiance battlecruiser. If you don't enjoy complicated strategy, just make lots of Bulwarks and advance them in a wide formation with some anti-fighter escorts and you'll win 99% of the time.
I’d like some additional information about the bulwark-class ships. Thank you for the video.
A video on shipyards would be super interesting !
The Bulwark MkII and MkIII are some of my favorite of the lesser-known capital ships in the Star Wars universe.
Pretty late upload but a surprise to be sure but a welcome one
Do saboath squadron ships next
Any chance in the future you will do a video on the CIS Ships we see in the “Star wars: Starfighter” video games?
Almost 1 mil Eckhart!
The lore on shipyards and ship construction would be fantastic!
That sounds like a fun thing I’d like to listen to
Bulwarks are absolute units in EAW, love them.
I would love to see some more shipyard lore! I really don’t know much about any but Mon Cal and Kuat
Yes, longer video please!!
A video on shipyards would be awesome
This ship was in Rebellion, for PC - the best ship for the Rebel Alliance!!! I've never seen it anywhere really, so I am very happy to see it here!
Yeah there's a lot going on with Foerost and Rendili's loyalties considering they were the premier shipyards of the Old Republic until the Navy was disbanded.
As an advent enjoyer of STEAW Fall Of the Republic, I can tell you the Bulwark's are an absolute pain. Unless they're yours.
Cool!
First
Most impressive Doctor J.! YES, Please DO the full breakdown of the Shipyard! Pretty please⁉️
Ahh, Foerost. Love that planet in Republic At War.
#askeck #AskThreepio Was the Death Star shot that was being aimed at yavin 4 a full power shot like the one used against Alderaan or a low power shot like the one used against scarif? Cause personally, it just doesn’t make sense to use a full power shot just to wipe out the Yavin 4 rebel base
Lore ship Versus video request:
Resurgent vs. Starhawk
Tie Striker vs. New Republic V-Wing
World Devastator vs. Vong Worldship
Tie Silencer vs. X-83 Twintail
Tie Silencer vs. Tie Defender (legends version)
Keldabe vs. ISD II
MC90 vs. Nebula class star destroyer
Nebula class vs. Pellaeon class
Majestic class vs. Bothan Assault Cruiser
EAWX: FOTR’s Mandator II portrayal vs. Subjugator
Praetor vs. Subjugator
EAWX: TR’s Mediator portrayal vs. Resurgent
Starhawk vs. Bulwark MK III
I don't think it's ever been specified. Practically speaking, it doesn't really matter since a low-power shot like at Scarif would've still been enough to wipe out the Rebel base. The only reason it would've been relevant is if a low-power shot could've been fired sooner, but that's not the case since delay in firing wasn't caused by charging up the superlaser. It was caused by having to go around Yavin Prime to get line of sight to Yavin IV.
I would love to see a longer video on shipyards and shipwrights. Learn more about who actually had bragging rights in the galaxy lol
Looking forward to your shipyard/shiprwright video! Have you done any vids touching on smaller vessels that smugglers (or video game protagonists) use? That could be cool.
Those things are monster in the Fall of the Republic mod
One of the best ships to use in fall of the republic... Anything smaller is to weak to battle Republic capitol ships effectively, everything bigger or more expensive is either still weaker or takes up way to much unit cap/has a galactic limit. Absolute game saver when the Republic is throwing a mandator II, several secutors and praetors, along with dozens of imperators and tectors at me every few minutes in waves
Please do so. The Imperial Military Industrial Complex is certainly a rabbit hole I'm willing to dive down, head first even.
It would be great to see a future video on the shipyards etc
You should go over the lore on the Victory contained in the adventure for d6 Starwars.
I believe it can still enter atmosphere enabling some incredibly precise bombardments.
I am interested in the in Theed Palace Space Vessel Engineering Corps. Where did they build the Royal Naboo Starship, Skiff, and Barge?
M3-A Scyk fighter, maybe with it's successor models, since there's not much lore on them.
And/or the Liberator-class Cruiser from Star Wars: Rebellion.
More about the shipyards and designers would be great!
Wonder if you'd include the Bwing and v19 torrent builders
The Bulwark was my favorite ship in Republic at War for the CIS.
Please do a video on the cis navy structure and ranks
Dorito
A fuscilade is firing down the length of a trench. The victorys were at the 11, 1, 5, and 7o,clock positions.
I would be very interested in learning more about the various starwars shiprights. I have known the names for years but no real knowledge of what their faction loyalties or signature design elements were.
Victory Star destroyers were first created for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game in 1987.
What about the umbaran warships present during the battle of Umbara?
The reason the CIS didnt use more Bulwarks, at least my guess, is because they were more expensive and needed more specialized shipyards.
So they only used them for veet specifuc missions.
And after the breakthrough of the blockade, they didnt have many left.
This f'n ship blasts my republic ass whenever we hit era 3/4 in FotR. So much range - SO MUCH DAMAGE.
Such a shame Victories and Z-95s were ignored in prequels
Ah yes. These bastards. A fleet of fifteen sent back 2 hours worth of Republic progress around the Galactic South back to Era 1 positions in my one playthrough in FoTR
The CIS really did have some awesome ships. The Providence is top tier, bulwarks are awesome, and Lucrehulks were the definition of sleeper ship. Meanwhile (as god tier as it is) the Republic only knew how to send Venators at everything
I have no idea if other people here are fans or play helldivers but id be hyped if this channel talked about helldivers lore and stuff i have no idea if the content and its lore is deep but i wouldnt mind a few videos on it 😂
Does anyone else think the guy at 00:26 looks like John Koenig, the commander of Moonbase Alpha, from Space:1999?
