    The whole thing was suicide by cop. He called them to the scene, he kept trying to work up his nerve to proceed with his ultimate plan.

    • @fatkiddtown
      @fatkiddtown 6 месяцев назад +4

      And they gave him plenty of time by not being ready to handcuff him when he was compliant.

    • @oldmarine312
      @oldmarine312 6 месяцев назад +3

      @fatkiddtown he was never compliant......he was waiting for an officer to break.protocal so he could stab one or more. There are many reasons for not approaching a suspect who is not being FULLY complant. But yiu approach him as he is standing with his hands on that hood, ignoring commands.

    • @IamSteady1
      @IamSteady1 6 месяцев назад +8

      BS. The cops were just cowards. The suspect has his back to the cops, hands at back of his head. Approach with a bead on his head or torso. If his demeanor changes when LEOs get close you pop him. There is no way he can deploy a knife or a gun while drawing dead with multiple cops having him in their sights. Everybody here knew what was going on (suicide by cop attempt), but not one of them had the courage to try to prevent a different outcome. The fact that we praise this as good policed work is nauseating.

    Having served a number of combat tours in the United States Army, I understand the pain people feel when they have taken a human life . Just like every Soldier, every police officer, knows this type of situation could happen and prays to never be in this situation. I understand the person shot was sick. I feel for the police who must live with this every day for the rest of their lives. Douglas MacArthur stated, The soldier above all others prays for peace, for it is the soldier who must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war. I think the same can be said of police.

      @Ajon83 6 месяцев назад +6

      @papimaximus95 the objective is NOT to cuff him while bear his vehicle. It's too much vulnerability for an officer to he ambushed. Its easy to hide weapons on/inside of a vehicle that could quickly turn the situation bad for the officer. If they refuse to walk away from the vehicle, there's a high probability of force being needed. The more vulnerable the officer is, the more likely deadly force will he used.

      @@DeepestQuotesAndTECHNICALLY, they fed him his last meal, a meal he wanted, a leaden lunch. Sad that these things are happening. This man was likely just trying to protect his family from bad things, got wrapped up in it, did a few bad things, made some bad choices, and ended up with his daughter in a gang, (all supposition and assumption) and him holding the bag. Imagine what could make a man want to die. Watching your family destroyed and your own child willingly submitting to the enemy would just about make any man go insane. Think about how callous we are to all of it nowadays.
      The cause?
      Forgetting our God as a nation and as individuals.
      Call on the name of Jesus to be saved, and to save your family.

    Playing armchair quarterback, this scenario seems like it would have allowed the use of a taser. When they had him facing away, standing between the cars, there was an opportunity for an officer to approach from behind the gray SUV and deploy a taser when it was clear that this guy was going to be non compliant, especially when he was starting to walk away. I know this would also put the officer somewhat in the line of fire, so not a perfect option.

    When cops make requests that do not get obeyed, their expiration timer begins. Can you imagine having to scream the same commands each time, louder and louder to no avail? Meanwhile the clock is ticking; getting one second closer to either thier own death, or an orderly apprehension. Its a crappy state of affairs for cops.

    Some people are ready to quit. The sad part is this is the best way they decided to leave. It puts a lot of guilt onto officers and the officer’s families.

      I respectfully disagree. While I don’t think they instigated any violence, I do think they could have taken him into custody when his back was turned. Stalling too long played a part in this outcome.

    Note re. Pom pepper spray. It is currently restricted in CA and NV. I bought a 6 pack for me, and another for my granddaughter a few years back. It can't be shipped to either state any longer. Oddly, the big belt size is ok in NV still, but I'm going to buy several before they decide to nail that door shut too.
    The law in NV allows sales to adults, but Amazon won't ship Pom to those states at all. You would have to find it over the counter, and probably provide id.

    As of the 2018 model year Ford put armored door panels as a standard feature on the police interceptor version of the Ford explorer. So if they're running Ford explorer police interceptors 2018 or newer they have them

      Dude. Cops have been caught on video, text & red handed doing CRIMES. The people that perform as Law Enforcement are not perfect & we should not expect or PROPAGATE that they are. They're doing a service/job like everyone else, just more responsibility & danger.
