    After exploring the flight envelope and then taking a massive twin into a spin (and recovering), AvAngel is now officially a full-blown test pilot.

    Thanks for the nice preview. Just a little more info about what happened to you as I'm sure you didn't notice: At 10:14, you poked a large fuel leak in your right tail tank. And from there, the tank started to empty itself really quickly. You can see it from the gauges. And the fuel stream is also noticeable on exterior view, especially when you fly through the cloud (at 14:31). Then the tank is fully empty at 15:29 (we can see the needle at 0, at the bottom left of the dashboard). From there, your right engine runs only on the right feed tank (which is smaller but big enough to let you land safely). Good job ;) Especially with an unbalanced aircraft!

      Was that leak from an actual external impact?
      Or was it created by a wrong click on the tablet (training feature?) ?

      I have seen worse@@AvAngel, don't worry :) I won't drop names, but a great Twitch streamer, who has been flying this for quite some time already, had all the troubles in the world with the fuel system in his stream, yesterday. So I guess It's critical that I make a "simple" video tutorial!

    • @flyingfries1027
      @flyingfries1027 5 месяцев назад

      She clicked the green dot on the tablet,@@baomao7243. And it created the leak. Since her engines were already running, she didn't get the button to fix the failure (you can allow the possibility to fix your plane even in-flight, but it's an option in the "others" tab).

    Nice video, Avangel, Thanks a million!! Lmao@ nearly "Howard Hughes'ing" it!
    It's however not going to be freeware... the amount of hours he (Lord Frites) spent on the XF-11 is just madness. Release is planned for mid-februari... if everything works out with the distributors. Marketplace release will be later, as MSFS/Asobo are still "working on letting Flying Fries in" .|
    Have an awsome flight! Kindest Regards, Steiny ;)

      Lots!

    • @flyingfries1027
      @flyingfries1027 5 месяцев назад

      Given that you can cruise above 40,000 feet, where the air is less dense and the fuel flow less important... If all your tanks are full on departure (including your drop tanks), you should be able to fly about 5,000 miles. Roughly 14 hours of uninterrupted flight (It was supposed to be a spy plane!).

    About the accident he had, they must have not considered a fail safe position for the props?

    • @BoatingBiker
      @BoatingBiker 2 месяца назад

      Howard was good at lots of things, flying was not one of them. He crashed his racer and he crashed his XF-11. Both occasions were the result of reckless attitudes to the good advice of his engineers. niether events were ' accidents ' . They were results, outcomes. nevertheless, Howard Hughes was a remarkable individual.
