@Conrad Nikolai Thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Yeah, i kinda expected a shocked child reaction to cheating in sims4 but don't remember ever seeing it. I feel like i remember, many years ago, having a sim cheat on another in 2 or 3 and the kid witnessing it. The kid ran away and cried and i felt so bad, i broke off that relationship for the sake of the kid.
Jadey Baby xx oh my god, my best friend and I had created sims together and made boyfriends for our sims and it was an active effort to make sure her sim didn’t steal my sims boyfriend 😂
In TS2, we had a man with two 'wives' (they didn't know ofc, because polygamy isn't a thing in the sims xD), and one of them died. The man did woohoo with the other while the ghost of the first one was creeping around and the ghost got mad, even though she didn't know the relationship was already going since before she had died xD
On sims 3, if your sim have a bad reputation from cheating, people will reject them more often because they don't trust the cheater. Just wanted to say that.
Also with late night, if they get publically disgraced for cheating and/or getting divorced, almost all of their relationships will be ruined and go into red.
Just a reminder: in The Sims 3, you can confess your betrail in case your lover didn't witness it. It is a friendly way to dig into this, but they still get really upset. Also, if somebody else in town witnesses the betrail and knows the couple, they might tell this to the betrayed sim, whom will accuse your sim of betrail as soon as they see each other, which may cause in a spontaneous divorce or break up! No mods necessary. It really scared me once these things first happened to my sims.
Recently it happended to me. My maid (who is also my best friend) gossiped about me cheating to my boyfriend. I went on a date with my boyfriend and he started insulting me about cheating.
Yeah, the only thing I don't like with the Sims 3 is the autonomous divorce... It's impossible to make married Sims who hate each other, because they divorce straight away :( The Sims 2 was better on this aspect
When I was playing the Pleasant house in TS2, Mary-Sue’s parents invited her out to eat with them after she caught Daniel cheating. When I had her interact with them, one of the options was “bad mouth [sim]”. And her parents looked so shocked when she told them! Like??? The realism??? The Sims 4 could absolutely never???
Default Default Daniel’s parents are Jeff and Diane Pleasant, who are both dead in TS2. Mary-Sue’s parents are Coral and Herb Oldie, who are located in the sim bin, along with Daniel’s sister Jennifer Burb, her husband John, and their daughter Lucy. The Oldies and the Burbs are the two sim bin families for Pleasantview.
@@jj2002ful right. Only two sim heights, no toddlers (for 3 years at least...), cant leave the lot without a loading screen But even sims 1 had cars, terrain tools and pools at launch 🤦♀️
My personal winner is the Sims 3, because unlike in the Sims 2 the reaction of the cheated Sim isn't slapping or an immediate -100 relationship even if they just flirt. Also in the Sims 3 they can confess cheating and tell a friend they got cheated on. The reputation system is also great on that matter. The Sims 4 is of course pathetic. I mean one moodlet and a small relationship decrease doesn't cut it.
Based on this video and your comment, I would have preferred Sims 2, with sims 3 expanding on it. For example flirting not giving the negative -100, and merging the features you mentioned about sims 3 with the sims 2. Sims 4 should have been trying to fine tune that system.
In sims 3 the teenage daughter caught her dad cheating on her mother with the maid and I was able to choose "complain about (maid's name)" to the mother and then she automatically went to accuse him of cheating! Gossip works!
the sims 4 feels like a doll house simulator instead of a life simulator, like you have to pretend that things are happening all the time to make it fun 1.2k pog
i agree a bit on that one , and when my sim shows some weir dpersonality like baking cakes all day, its just a bug. but i do want to admit that this test was bad, she tester a married couple and lovers scenario for sims 2/3 and a lovebird scenario for sims4, having a spous cheat does make the emotion stronger, wich offcourse in the endstill wont do much but still it should have ben shown in the test
I think that's kind of true, but in a way they boosted up the ability for you to build stories that weren't necessarily dependent on the AI and more about what the player wants to happen. It's just a different direction, and while it's not for everyone, a good amount of players like the control they have over situations with sims now.
exactly, at least in the sims 2/3 I feel like i'm in a real universe with real people. In the sims 4 I just see wax people talking to each other and always being happy
I miss when the game told us how the conversation was going. Not just like “boring conversation” “funny conversation” “unpleasant conversation” but stuff like “She’s creeped out” “she’s offended” “she’s delighted” like you know what the sim is feeling based on the conversation ya know?
A thing I thought was pretty “cool” in the sims 2 is that if a parent cheats in front of their kids, the kids will lose relationship points with the cheating parent
This isn't technically related to cheating but along similar lines. I like that a child might run out of the room and cry if their parents are fighting.
This happens in the sims 3 too! Although it can be a little glitchy, like I was doing the 100 baby challenge and my newborn child had a very NEGATIVE relationship because I guess their mom “cheated” on their dad, but a baby wouldn’t rlly understand lol!
Sims 4 emotions are non existent- everyone is too happy. Sims 3 moodlets can be random but it’s more level headed with jealousy. Sims 2... someone’s gonna catch some hands no doubt.
I think the sims 3 wins mainly because when the betrayed moodlet ends your sim chooses whether to stay or not. I love autonomy of the sim making the choice.
Yeah it actually ties really nicely and kind of somewhat realistic. Like i know some married couple tries to stay and dont separate for the sake of the family. And i remember there's also a feature when a sim ages to adult they can go through midlife crisis and get a want to divorce their spouse suddenly lmao
In Sims 3, after the "Cheated on" moodlet passes and there hasn't been much progress in the relationship within the 5 days, Sims will autonomously break up!
I love how in the sims 3 your sims can break up with their partner several days after even if we as players don't want them to. I had a sim break up with her husband like 4 days after the cheating even though they were going on dates and flirting a little to reconect. It was sad but i liked that she wasn't going to take a cheater back even though i wanted them together lol
Just out of curiosity, do sims in Sims 3 randomly cry or do some angry gesture like they do in Sims 2? I know that in Sims 3 if your sim's family member dies they will randomly cry sometimes without you prompting them to do so, so I'm curios as to whether they have spontaneous reactions like that in response to cheating as well or if that's only in response to a death.
@@bitch8205 i think it depends on what traits the sim has? like an over-emotional would cry for sure, but a hot-headed would most likely be angry if/when they see their cheating partner. I'm pretty positive that is not randomly, they have to see the sim to have a reaction as long as they have the moodlet of betrayal.
Not long ago(like a couple weeks or so) my Sim, Alysia was dating Leighton Sekemoto and flirted with Parker Langerak at a party at his house while I wasn't controlling her. I thought she got off scot free but a few days later, he dumped her. 😂
Bitch Yes, that do show angry gestures. I remember one of my sims 3 sims randomly flirted with someone at a party her and her husband were hosting and the whole party got mad at her and the party immediately ended. Her husband was so upset with her, kept fighting with her, and refused to sleep in the same bed with her so I decided to send her to live with a friend until the betrayed moodlet was over. I think they’re son even had a birthday while she was gone. I invited her to the party, but it was just more drama..It was so sad. Lol
I believe also in the Sims 3 if you don't build back their relationship in those 5 days the Sim that was cheated on will autonomously break up with the other sim.
That is true, i just starting playing the sims 3 again after years and I forgot that happens. My sim drove to the location of the sim that cheated to break up with him autonomously
Something else I find is a really nice detail in Sims 2 is if a sim goes on a date with someone else and their partner sees any bouquets or love notes from their date, they won't necessarily catch their partner cheating, but their relationship will go down by quite a bit on one side, and sometimes they'll even be one sided furious!
Yes! If you have the partner “read” the love note sometimes I’ve had sims fall out of love and start balling! Which is so realistic you wouldn’t really just walk by and ignore love notes to your spouse on the front door step!! Lol
I love how in Sims 3 you can divorce Sim or maybe make up again. It was so funny. And in Sims 2 cheated Sim will come back to steal newspaper or kick a trash can
This is why sims 4 should have been expanding on the older concept ideas, being heart broken b.c a crush loves another and coming to terms with it or just moping about.
@@anomalytenacious I THINK haven't played sims 4 for a little while and maybe a mod did this idk, but married sims get more angry and fighty when they catch the other cheating....I THINK
Default Default they get a very angry moodlet and I think the one that’s caught gets some type of moodlet too but I’m not too sure on that one. It’s not that different, def not TS2 or 3 level
In the Sims 4, one of my Sims had a few boyfriends and each time she got a new boyfriend, one of her current boyfriends would text her to congratulate her lol no drama at all. So weird lol
it’s the way in the sims 2 the sims do autonomous actions like crying when they’re upset - actions that you can’t tell them do to, meanwhile in the sims 4 the emotions are so buggy and overpowered that they can be changed in a second ! loving these videos, i’m so glad there’s someone else as passionate about this franchise as me😁
I agree! It's the behavior after the cheating that I love so much in The Sims 2, the way it affects the Sims. The Sims 2 might be a bit more unrealistic with the slapping and learning your Sim is cheating from being on the same lot, but I think it makes up for it because of this!
One thing sims 3 do better than sims 2: In sims 2 reaction on cheating is always the same, it doesn't matter if sims were married or just have crush. In sims 3 reaction is related with relationship between sims. Last time my sim cheated on her husband they were always arguing and I had to divorce them :D and they were still arguing every time they meet :D Also, I not sure, but I think that in sims 3 reaction is related with how sim cheated (woohoo is worst that just kissing)
@@himikoyumenotheultimatedet3411 Well I would like to disagree. In my gameplay the relationship doesn't get as bad if you only flirt. And if they are engaged or married they won't break up unless I want them to.
I really like the sims 3 system. I remember one of my first households in the sims 3 I had the wife cheat on her husband and when he found out he of course gt the betrayed moodlet for 5 days. Within that 5 days time he wouldn't even let her sleep with him! My sim ended up sleeping on a cheap bed in the corner of her daughters bedroom for 5 days. No matter what she did, she was unable to get through to him and mend their relationship. At the end of the 5 days, he walked up to her autonomously and DIVORCED her! I was shocked to say the least lol.
Another thing I really don't like about relationships in sims 4 is the lack of commitment. Say your sim is engaged to someone and invites both him and another female sim over, chances are so high that her fiance will cheat on her. And we're not talking serial romantics here. It's like everyone cheats on everyone for no reason and it has no consequences either. I'd expect someone in a committed relationship to decline advances but all you get is that they say they're seeing someone if asked but it doesn't change their flirting behaviour one bit..
I know! Its very annoying. I initially thought they might have made the changes to make serial romantics or casual dating for sims easier, but now it's nearly impossible to have autonomous commitment.
I once played sims 3 and the husband ran up to my sim for no reason to accuse her of cheating, even tho she didnt and I couldn't stop him! I think it was because they haven't romantically interacted in a while. I replayed that back then, reloading a previous save and letting them be romantic, and he didnt accuse her again . Thought that was cool that my sim just had the thought she was cheating because they weren't interacting romantically anymore ^^ (In hindsight I wished I didnt replay, I love the drama these days xD)
For the sims 3 a sim going in and out of a bad mood make sense, especially with how long the moodlet lasts. It last 6 days day which for normal sims is the equivalent of like 4 years. Plus realistically speaking if you got cheated on you'd probably be doing everything you can to try to distract yourself from the pain you feel so I can totally see that. I think sims 2 brings the drama, but I think sims 3 is a bit more realistic.
27:42 “It’s actually been really fun. I just want to keep playing this house to see what’s going to happen”. Something I never in my life have thought about TS4. I have played using MCCC and SoL, but not the other mods you are using. It’s just a shame TS4 needs mods to approach the level of engagement that 2 and 3 - and even 1 - have programmed into the game.
I agree! It is a shame. The base system is just garbage. I am going to experiment with this mod more and see if it can keep things fun over time. I hope so!
I honestly love both the sims 2 and sims 3 jealously! I love the sims 2 because I feel they are more animated during conflict, but I love how children can witness a betrayal and be affected in the sims 3. I know children in the sims 2 have memories from their parents having an affair, but I don’t think it ruins the relationship with them like it does in the sims 3, if I’m correct. Either way, they are both great. But hands down I love the sims 2 jealously the best. Mostly because of how animated it is LOL The sims 4....well that doesn’t exist to me hahaha
Same! I love both of them for different reasons. If only Sims 4 could have taken the best parts of 2 and 3 and perfected it. So disappointed that didn't happen.
Honestly, I cannot play 4 now without Meaningful Stories - it's added so much to my gameplay! I've been meaning to download Have Some Personality and I will do now I've seen it in action (as well as IR Jealousy). But it is a shame that I have to use mods to try and recreate the drama of 2.
I remember somewhat recently in sims 3 I had the husband sim unprompted flirt with the maid with the wife around and within that day, she auto divorced him It was all out of my control but i didn't really mind at all cause it was interesting
I LOVED playing with romance sims in sims 2, they were so naughty and always wanted to look for someone new to woohoo with. I had tons of dramatic stories that i written on that “story mode” with screenshots that we used to have in sims 2 with betrayal, teared families and even deaths. How sims reacted to these events in sims 2 were priceless and made the game so much fun and real.
The Sims 4 without mods is unplayeable, idc if some random dudes or girls plays without mods, YOU are the exception. I'm happy that today many people thinks that this game is trash, I was thinking this since 2018, still playing it trying to make it fun, and many people always tell me that dont be so negative or some stuff like that. I always says TS4 is the worst. Thanks for the video Cindy!
I play on console and I basically just build or recreate characters and worlds from books or shows I like. I spend very little time playing with the sims themselves.
That is exactly why I stopped playing The Sims 4: had plenty of mods, cc and beautiful sims, but there was just no gameplay to begin with. Came back to the Sims 3, and I don’t regret it, it’s surely the best game of the franchise.
For the sims 4 I definitely agree it does require a lot of work, but I did test it with married sims and it seemed to have worked better. I made a sim and her wife, as well as her best friend and had her wife cheat on her with her best friend. The sim who got cheated on instantly stormed out of the house with a 24 hours angry moodlet, and then returned and started yelling at her spouse and friend. Everything seems good right? well right after that she went to chatting with her spouse, and then to yelling at her spouse and back and forth like that I think the jealousy systems for married sims are there, but it's just really buggy because of how the emotions system works
In sims 3 if a kid catches one if their parents cheating they can express condolences and the other parent will find out that way. I love doing that lol! Also if a sim keeps getting caught cheating then the other sim will break up with them on their own
My biggest pet peeve with the sims 4 relationships is that even when the sims are mad/sad they still hang around the sim who upset them. In the Sims 2 I've had sims engage mean interactions/break ups and distance themselves from the sim who angered them. In the sims 3 its toned down slightly but I've still had sims try to stay in separate rooms from the sim who upset them depending on their traits. This is way more realistic as you wouldn't want to stay around the person who hurt you for long unless its to hurt them for hurting you.
Would it be different in the sims 4 if they're married? Because Travis wasn't either of their boyfriend, just a romantic interest. I don't know because I haven't played the sims 4 myself in years.
I tried with an engaged couple on full romance and beat friend status .. he cheated with his fiancé's mother (I was curious about whether that would make a difference) .. the cheated on sim was sad for a bit but the 24 hour jealous sad moodlet was overpowered by other moodlets in less time than we saw here for Liberty .. and didn't even loose any relationship with the mother. O.o Sims 4 Sims are wild in their own way I suppose
organicstorm I had a female sim whose husband flirted with her mom right in front of her. She got really angry with her husband for awhile and their relationship went way down, but her relationship with her mom wasn’t affected at all. It was bizarre.
It's a no-brainer, Sims 2 has the strongest jealousy system. Just from the Lothario scenario alone showed it. I do like that the maid went after Nina and NOT Don, believing she was the one who seduced him, not the other way around. Still, you don't mess with a Caliente, it ends badly. And yeah, the Sims 4 base game jealousy system is complete and utter garbage. I use a mod that causes the sim who catches a lover in the act to become very angry, and the caught very embarrassed, and the longer they stay near the cheating, they just become more and more jealous, resulting in their relationship tanking. It may not be Sims 2 levels of great, but far better than base game's system by a large margin. That said, the mood system of the game meant both the catcher and caught were able to reconcile the following day because Angry Moodlets can be removed with cold showers, calming down at mirrors, etc.
I had to get a mod to fix jealous in the sims 4. The sims three jealousy is fine but it’s not as good as the sims 2. I think moodlets kinda ruined a lot of sims systems it gives a set time to be angry, sad or happy about stuff.
Personally I think these moodlets can work better if it’s not just a one and done thing. Like a sad/angry by cheating for a day or a few. Then it comes back again if it hasn’t resolved or if they still have feelings
Drama is a first ting that i think of when someone mentions Sims 2 😂 Srsly it is so realistic but also over the top and it is way ahead of the rest! Also hearing Sims 4 vanilla makes me scared lol ... i am never gonna be ready for it!
The Sims 3 actually has done more, it's just hard to see The fact that the maid (forgot her name already whoops) rejected Don's kiss was an effect of his cheater reputation. From now on, all his romantic interactions will be harder to be accepted because he got caught cheating It's not just the moodlets and relationship status that's at play, which I think is really neat. It's not as explosive as the sims 2, but I do think its more nuanced After the sims have calmed down and you get their relationship status back up again, it's like nothing really happened in the sims 2, even though it takes a while In the sims 3, you need a lifetime reward to undo the consequences of a cheater reputation
This is such a great video! It really shows why it feels like relationships in The Sims 4 don't have impact, and I hope more people get to see this! It would be awesome if this blew up and EA changed how this works in The Sims 4 to behave more like it did when you had mods!
In Sims 3 it is also a bit trait-related. You get less reactions from non-commital and flirty sims and more reactions from family-oriented and hopeless romatic sims. Good sims is more likely to confess to cheating and also be more forgiving when a cheating spouse is trying to fix the relationship.
the sims 4 is a big disappointment especially with cheating, one sim can catch their spouse cheating and confront them and then autonomously start a friendly interaction with them or even a romantic one
Speaking from experience, in sims 3 if the "betrayed" mood lasts for 3 days they're most likely to be reconciled (the sims who got cheated on will agree to start over again). But if that mood lasts for 5 days, the cheater will be divorced and we can't cancel the action! If you want to get remarried with the same sim, you should buy the "clean slate" reward to remove any reputation and make the "propose" action re-appears. If not then you'll stuck with bf-gf relationship, max.
In the Sims 2 I had to litterally KEEP my sims from fighting or attacking eachother or else they'd just keep being furious at eachother and KEEP ON FIGHTING it's such a mess I love it
It would be nice if reaction on cheating was depending on sim personality. It's just shy person won't scream and slap their partner, they would probably run away and cry, lol
One of my favourite games from the Sims 3 had a large family where the eldest daughter got engaged. The fiance came over a lot, and ended up cheating with the younger sister, but the even younger sister saw it and told the entire family. The entire family knew she was being cheated on, and I believe there was an option for them to talk discuss it (something like "express sadness for X"), until finally the mom told the daughter. I adored the drama, and I loved not being 100% in control of my sim/other sims finding out and gossiping about it. Meanwhile, in the Sims 4, my sim continually cheats with her best friends husband in front of her face, but tells her a joke afterwards and they're bffs again. Like... how did the Sims go so backwards?
Reminds me of the time I was following my sim and out of nowhere she had a sudden negative relationship with her dad. I was so confused until I turned the camera and found her dad cheating on his wife with another woman. I managed to fix their relationship a little, then he went and did it again! Dirty old man.
In one of my sims 3 games, the sim that is betrayed will autonomously break-up with their spouse if their relationship isn't high enough when the betrayal moodlet times out.
tbh 2 years later with the addition of sentiments to the sims 4, the reactions to cheating are a bit more dramatic, they'll remember it for *weeks* & it effects how they'll autonomously interact a lot
Thank you for posting these videos! I've really gotten into your channel lately, you put so much love into your videos and it shows!! I love your energy and humour, I can't wait for more! 💖
Something I love about the sims 2 is family members getting mad as well! I took Don Lothario out on a date with a townie while he was married to Cassandra, and Mortimer showed up. Mortimer got so mad at Don 😂
I miss memories so much, I create my own with the screenshot memory feature on the sims 4 and still get nostalgic but it’s just not the same, even tho the sims 3 had memories for everything it was really cool to look back and see what things you did and how did you look: how old you were etc
I actually feel that Sims 2 reactions are formulaic. Every single sim of every personality will react exactly the same. In Sims 3 though, you have the option to ignore the sim, argue with the sim, or even try to smooth things over (which is really dang difficult because the sims are still furious with each other). Sims with different personalities will have different tendencies and wishes. Also, a sim is a lot more likely to be rejected by another sim if they have a cheater representation. So those consequences are *really* long lasting.
Honestly, EAxis needs to remember that part of what made Sims 2 great was that is was sort of a life simulator, but it was more of a soap opera simulator. Keeping that in mind and all the ridiculousness, humor, and drama that comes with that would really help bring them back to what made it awesome.
i would love to see more of a series like this for the sims 4 where you try to salvage it with mods! for me, sims 4 is completely unplayable without mods installed and since you focus so much on the sims 2, it would be great to see you find the gameplay we need for the sims 4 through the modding community! it's really impressive how many modders take the best elements from previous sims games and are so easily able to apply them to the sims 4's mood and whims system, so much so that it makes me wonder why ea couldn't 🤔
on my sims 4 game i have my self sim married to a sim based on my real life partner. she has seen him autonomously flirt with people IN FRONT of her and she’s like ‘i do not see it, everything is fine’
In the sims 3 I think you can always ask to just be friends but Don got the break up option early on because of his non-committal trait. Break up is otherwise unavailable just for regular sims. I like the fact that different relationships in TS3 lead to different responses in cheating. I also like the fact that cheating responses vary based on your traits as well.
Okay I remember after an update, in Sims 3 I always make the male sim get into relationships with all the females in the town (for a bigger family tree), but I will never forget when he got scolded like 5 times in one day in different places
Victoria Escobar AHAHAHAHA TWINSSSS!!😂😂😂 While reading your comment, you gave me an idea to turn everybody in town to vampires and get females pregnant with vampire sims😂😂😂 That would be next level shit!
I play with Kawaii Stacie's Slice of Life mod that adds a lot of liveliness to the world. I also added in Lumpinou's Road to Romance, Friends with Benefits, and Contextual Interactions mods. Road to Romance turns romance into a skill and adds interactions like, "Talk about Exes" and "discuss relationship." Contextual Interactions allows for sims to discuss baby names, announce a promotion, confess cheating, and more. Once I had a cheater sim autonomously "Express doubts about ID of Father" to his pregnant wife that he was cheating on. Friends with Benefits creates a new relationship status where all the romantic and sexual actions are available, but the romantic relationship doesn't grow. However if your friendly relationship gets too high, you begin to get sad buffs when you're with your FWB. I also have Meaningful Stories, because I like the emotion inertia.
Tbh I remember a while ago, in the sims 4 my sim just lost it, when he found out his gf was cheating, he honestly wouldn't stop attacking/being mean towards her, I think their was a sad buff but there was also a anger buff which was just overriding everything. Sadly to say thou, that was honestly the most emotion I have seen in a sim in the sims 4 and this was like 2 or 3 years ago. (Just to add on, there were no mods, I didn't know how to add mods then xD)
in sims 4 i guess it depends on the sims personality. once one of my sims literally died of anger after catching his wife merely flirting with the neighbour
i recently got snowy escape and was really interested in exploring how deep the lore for megumi and kado ran, especially with the new sentiments. it didn’t take much for them to become comfortable from awkwardness, and when jenna walked in on them having sex, she only got very angry and proceeded to have energy failure LMAO. kado was hanging with megumi the next morning so i didn’t get to see if jenna would yell at her husband or whatever but when he came home she barely acknowledged his presence - she just started stomping all over the house. it’s such a bummer how inconsequential cheating is in the sims 4 - your sims will react to it, but they’ll still probably only be angry (just in general, not even directly at the sim) for like a day or so, even with the sentiments. otherwise, they’ll just talk and laugh with the sim as normal. great video!
I think the reason why in your original video, you thought the sims 4 cheating system was different, was because they released a patch when the dishwashers came into the game.
In the sims 2 I once put my teen to gossip with another teen and she told the other about her father's cheating, the other teenager got real mad and her relationship with her father got worse. The sims 2 was amazing. :D
I personally enjoy that in TS4 if a sim has the jealous trait, they’ll get jealous literally anytime someone else has a positive interaction with their partner, whether it’s romantic or not or whether the partner sim initiated it or not. They’ll react with jealousy, which in turn makes the partner react, then get that jealousy buff for like 3 hrs but the relationship won’t deteriorate. And I like the “all mine” buff jealous sims get when they spend enough time with their partner.
I love this comparations vids! Please do more and I love that this time you implement with some mods too. In sims 3 one time Cassandra finds out that Don was cheating on her (he and Dina did some woohoo in the master bedroom and Don's and Cassandra's baby was in the crib in the same room) turns out that her get all the moodlets that you show us in the video, and the betrayal was kinda a timer, with the time that Don have left to fix their relationship or their marriage would be over. I couldn't find a way to make they sleep in the same bed no matter what I did, they just refused over and over, even when their relationship was better, it's like she wouldn't there yet. At the end of the moodlets I got a pop up that Cassandra maked her mind and decided to work on their marriage, but that's required a really hard work, like in sims 2 we need to work. I don't know what part of this was mods and what was the game. The wrost part is that the baby witnessed all the cheating and that's was kinda traumatic for him hahahaha.
New subscriber, I just wanted to say I never, never, never get tired of watching Daniel Pleasant getting busted. Love the channel and love the fact you are always so pleased to see what your sims get up to. Your enthusiasm is contagious :)
Actually in the sims 3 when your sims have the betrayed buff it is not possible to flirt with she/him, and after a wile if you don't try to talk or try improve the relation, the betrayed sim decides to not keep the relationship and break up happens automatically, I got really surprised when this happened to my sim that I even know that was being cheated xD
Watched your videos back at the beginning of Pleasant Sims but got very busy with Uni and work to dedicate much time to keeping up. Really loving the new series looking at 3 generations of sims games and with sims 3 (my personal favourite generation of sims games despite its many flaws, Nraas was a lifesaver)

Sims 4 sims being cheated on:
“Oh no! Anyway-“
Hdjshshd

"Anyway gimme a hug!"
what I love in sims 3 is if the kid see's mum/dad cheat they can tell the other parent! Best for story telling
Cheating between married couple in the sims 2 affects their children.
Was so disappointed that this feature was removed in TS4. Cheating affected the whole family. It was suuuuuper hard to have cheating drama in TS4!
Yees! Friends could tell the person too if they saw
Honestly one of my favorite parts
My Sim in TS3 *never* forgived her wife for cheating. I killed her off, and her GHOST came back, and yelled at my sim.
Lol, that should teach her!
AHHAHAAHA
yeah, I remember that the friendship bar goes full on red, they will hate each other for eternity lmao
On sims 3, if your sim have a bad reputation from cheating, people will reject them more often because they don't trust the cheater. Just wanted to say that.
The reputation system is really great in The Sims 3!
Sims 3 was hands down full and best of story telling but idk so underrated and unnoticed
Wow, I didn’t even know that. I gotta play it again 😂
Also with late night, if they get publically disgraced for cheating and/or getting divorced, almost all of their relationships will be ruined and go into red.
@@Psycul why
Just a reminder: in The Sims 3, you can confess your betrail in case your lover didn't witness it. It is a friendly way to dig into this, but they still get really upset. Also, if somebody else in town witnesses the betrail and knows the couple, they might tell this to the betrayed sim, whom will accuse your sim of betrail as soon as they see each other, which may cause in a spontaneous divorce or break up! No mods necessary. It really scared me once these things first happened to my sims.
Enzo Almeida thats why its my fave
Whaaaat? Townies are relevant?! Sims 4 could never
same happened to my friends in Sims 3. You literally loose friends bc of that in the game
Default Default The Oldies are Mary Sue’s parents, not Daniel’s and they are located in the sim bin in Pleasantview.
I also loved the gossip system in Sims 2! I loved seeing two random sims whisper about some other sims affair.
You can do that in sims 3 too.
You can sort of bad mouth sims in sims 4. But it's not a near as great as the other games.
i dont get how the sims 2 is almost 20 years old yet so much more modern and detailed than the sims 4😂 it’s an actual downgrade
It's very strange how the series got worse instead of getting better since Sims 2.
@Detona Studios Ikr, all TS4 has is good graphics.
@@jj2002ful I kinda get it but it's really unfair since TS1 was PACKED with contents, features & personalities despite its rudimentary graphics.

B.c EA realized the community would buy literally nothing as long as the game was titled sims.
Yes, you're right! I do love the reputation system and the ability to confess cheating!
Dont forget if a sim has a cheating reputation other sims wont date them!
I agree with you. The sims 2 version is to dramatic. I like sims 3 much better anyway.
Based on this video and your comment, I would have preferred Sims 2, with sims 3 expanding on it. For example flirting not giving the negative -100, and merging the features you mentioned about sims 3 with the sims 2. Sims 4 should have been trying to fine tune that system.
I do like that you can cheat while on the same lot as long as they don't see you. But even if the child does they get a moodlet
In sims 3 the teenage daughter caught her dad cheating on her mother with the maid and I was able to choose "complain about (maid's name)" to the mother and then she automatically went to accuse him of cheating! Gossip works!

the sims 4 feels like a doll house simulator instead of a life simulator, like you have to pretend that things are happening all the time to make it fun

i agree a bit on that one , and when my sim shows some weir dpersonality like baking cakes all day, its just a bug. but i do want to admit that this test was bad, she tester a married couple and lovers scenario for sims 2/3 and a lovebird scenario for sims4, having a spous cheat does make the emotion stronger, wich offcourse in the endstill wont do much but still it should have ben shown in the test
I think that's kind of true, but in a way they boosted up the ability for you to build stories that weren't necessarily dependent on the AI and more about what the player wants to happen. It's just a different direction, and while it's not for everyone, a good amount of players like the control they have over situations with sims now.
Bruh...that's it. That's the best way to describe it!
That’s why I use mods, like the cheating mod and basemental
exactly, at least in the sims 2/3 I feel like i'm in a real universe with real people.

Yes, I've seen that before in game.
yeah sims 3 too lol I remember I brought my toddler on a date before and by the end of the date the toddler hated the dad lol
This isn't technically related to cheating but along similar lines. I like that a child might run out of the room and cry if their parents are fighting.

I also wanted to point out this difference!
also the children losing relationship with the sim in question with a negative moodlet
In Sims 3, after the "Cheated on" moodlet passes and there hasn't been much progress in the relationship within the 5 days, Sims will autonomously break up!
omg marticore!! i love your videos!!

That happened to me once, so yes, I do think that happens!
That's a neat feature that im not surprised i didnt know yet! Sims 3 has so many things to offer its overwhelming.

Yes! I love that so much too! I'm always trying to hide those cheater bouquets. LOL
Also it makes sense too! Like they don't know for sure but they get a feeling!
I never noticed this! I love how you keep learning about little details in the Sims 2 even after 15 years of excessive gameplay lol.
Yes! If you have the partner “read” the love note sometimes I’ve had sims fall out of love and start balling! Which is so realistic you wouldn’t really just walk by and ignore love notes to your spouse on the front door step!! Lol
Kaitlyn the maid in sims 3 was like ion want no smoke when she ran away lol

The only issue I have with the sims 2 jealousy if a crush flirts with someone else the sim will react the same as the lovers cheat
Yes, that is true! It's one size fits all for the jealousy.
Yeah it'd be much better if the only thing jealousy did for a crush is to decrease it and maybe stop having a crush.

One thing sims 3 do better than sims 2:
In sims 2 reaction on cheating is always the same, it doesn't matter if sims were married or just have crush. In sims 3 reaction is related with relationship between sims. Last time my sim cheated on her husband they were always arguing and I had to divorce them :D and they were still arguing every time they meet :D
Also, I not sure, but I think that in sims 3 reaction is related with how sim cheated (woohoo is worst that just kissing)
It depends on how they cheated in Sims 2, too. If it was a flirt, it's not as bad as woohoing.
@@himikoyumenotheultimatedet3411 Well I would like to disagree. In my gameplay the relationship doesn't get as bad if you only flirt. And if they are engaged or married they won't break up unless I want them to.
@@himikoyumenotheultimatedet3411 There could also be differences between the DLCs or something.
Yeah if they are in a flirty mood they flirt with everyone like wtf
Thought that was cool that my sim just had the thought she was cheating because they weren't interacting romantically anymore ^^
(In hindsight I wished I didnt replay, I love the drama these days xD)
That's so cool!!
Yes!
I hope so!
25:23 it's funny that the insult is being multitasked so Travis doesn't even turn off his game. 😆 I guess that shows how much he cares.
Damn they really made the “emotion system” extremely underwhelming
In sims 2, I think the kids actually become furious at the cheating parent - I know the relationship is definitely affected if they witness cheating!
Lucy Burb got furious with my sim in the Sims 2 because John was cheating on his wife with her!
I agree! These three mods are my must-haves. Without them, the Sims are just boring clones.
And.... there are so many ‘Simmers’ who are like “SiMs 4 iS tHe BeSt GaMe In ThE sErIeS”
Mostly builders, I can relate
There's a reason Sims 4 youtubers almost only do build challenges.
And aesthetically, “yes”. But that’s only if you don’t have the time nor specs to upgrade TS2 and 3.
And not to mention with TS4, you need SO MANY script mods to boost the gameplay which causes greater lag than the preceding games lol

I don’t play w mods but it’s cause I don’t know how to install them,,,, I should learn
Its still unplayable even with mods sadly get bored so quicklh
That is exactly why I stopped playing The Sims 4: had plenty of mods, cc and beautiful sims, but there was just no gameplay to begin with. Came back to the Sims 3, and I don’t regret it, it’s surely the best game of the franchise.
This just reinforces why I play the Sims 3 and not the Sims 4 right now 🤣🤣
For the sims 4 I definitely agree it does require a lot of work, but I did test it with married sims and it seemed to have worked better.
That's a good point! I need to experiment with married Sims too!
I’ll say this. The graphics and imagery in the vanilla sims 2 is just so good. The shadows and lightning is beautiful. They really did a great job
Sims 4: We have a revolutionary emotion system that will make the game and the sims more realistic than ever before!
Sims 2: *Hold my Smart Milk!*
I'm not sure but I might do another experiment to see!
It's so sad that Sims 4 needs mods to be playable
Sims 2 jealousy is so intense that I need to install a "less jealousy" mod
"I don't understand why the game doesn't work like this without a mod." Well, that about sums up most of the Sims 4 experience if we're honest.

Sims 2: "COME HERE YOU SON OF A B****!!!
I had to get a mod to fix jealous in the sims 4. The sims three jealousy is fine but it’s not as good as the sims 2. I think moodlets kinda ruined a lot of sims systems it gives a set time to be angry, sad or happy about stuff.
I agree! The moodlets don't seem to work as well as the "emotions" in the Sims 2!
Personally I think these moodlets can work better if it’s not just a one and done thing. Like a sad/angry by cheating for a day or a few. Then it comes back again if it hasn’t resolved or if they still have feelings

The Sims 3 actually has done more, it's just hard to see
The fact that the maid (forgot her name already whoops) rejected Don's kiss was an effect of his cheater reputation. From now on, all his romantic interactions will be harder to be accepted because he got caught cheating
It's not just the moodlets and relationship status that's at play, which I think is really neat. It's not as explosive as the sims 2, but I do think its more nuanced
After the sims have calmed down and you get their relationship status back up again, it's like nothing really happened in the sims 2, even though it takes a while
In the sims 3, you need a lifetime reward to undo the consequences of a cheater reputation
This is such a great video! It really shows why it feels like relationships in The Sims 4 don't have impact, and I hope more people get to see this! It would be awesome if this blew up and EA changed how this works in The Sims 4 to behave more like it did when you had mods!
I wish! LOL. Thank you for watching Neon!
we need a series "heavily moding the sims 4 until it turns into sims 2 with good graphics"
In the Sims 2 I had to litterally KEEP my sims from fighting or attacking eachother or else they'd just keep being furious at eachother and KEEP ON FIGHTING it's such a mess I love it
I remember the sims telling us that TS4 is gonna be all about the emotions.
No, this game is emotionless compared to other Sims games.
Sims 4 is a whole ass scam
Sims 4 is such an interactive game EA made. They let the modding community to do their creative work instead of them.
Reminds me of the time I was following my sim and out of nowhere she had a sudden negative relationship with her dad. I was so confused until I turned the camera and found her dad cheating on his wife with another woman. I managed to fix their relationship a little, then he went and did it again! Dirty old man.
Shoutout to all of the amazingly talented CC creators and Modders in the community, they're the sole reason the sims 4 is even playable.
In one of my sims 3 games, the sim that is betrayed will autonomously break-up with their spouse if their relationship isn't high enough when the betrayal moodlet times out.
The things I love about The Sims 3 is how relationships are more realistic and all the drama there can be built
tbh 2 years later with the addition of sentiments to the sims 4, the reactions to cheating are a bit more dramatic, they'll remember it for *weeks* & it effects how they'll autonomously interact a lot
i've had sims autonomously cheat and completely wreck their relationship so badly i have to restart
Thank you for posting these videos! I've really gotten into your channel lately, you put so much love into your videos and it shows!! I love your energy and humour, I can't wait for more! 💖
Thank you so much!!
7:38 Kaylynn warming up those hands👊👊🤬
Even toddlers in the Sims 3 can hate both cheaters if caught
I love these comparison videos! 😃
I'm so glad! Thank you for watching!
Agreed. And I am going to keep trying to find that Sims 2 style gameplay I want! I will gladly share all my findings with you!
You should have way more subscribers
You are such a good RUclipsr
Thanks so much! I hope my channel keeps growing! :)
Keep it up. you are going to achieve it fast im sure
on my sims 4 game i have my self sim married to a sim based on my real life partner. she has seen him autonomously flirt with people IN FRONT of her and she’s like ‘i do not see it, everything is fine’
I have never been a fan of these types of sims video/lores but your videos are what I really look forward to every single day 🥺👉👈
Aww! Thanks so much! 💙
W S lmaoooo me toooo bruhh
I made my vampire sim get every female pregnant in late night
Victoria Escobar AHAHAHAHA TWINSSSS!!😂😂😂 While reading your comment, you gave me an idea to turn everybody in town to vampires and get females pregnant with vampire sims😂😂😂 That would be next level shit!
Cheating and getting caught in the Sims:
Sims 2: THE APOCALYPSE
Sims 3: Life slowly falling apart
Sims 4: Do you want cookies and coffee with that?
These comparison videos are great! Keep it coming Cindy!
Thank you! Will do!
The sims 2 jealousy reactions are a whole drama, i reaally love it
i recently got snowy escape and was really interested in exploring how deep the lore for megumi and kado ran, especially with the new sentiments. it didn’t take much for them to become comfortable from awkwardness, and when jenna walked in on them having sex, she only got very angry and proceeded to have energy failure LMAO. kado was hanging with megumi the next morning so i didn’t get to see if jenna would yell at her husband or whatever but when he came home she barely acknowledged his presence - she just started stomping all over the house. it’s such a bummer how inconsequential cheating is in the sims 4 - your sims will react to it, but they’ll still probably only be angry (just in general, not even directly at the sim) for like a day or so, even with the sentiments. otherwise, they’ll just talk and laugh with the sim as normal. great video!
I hate that trait the jealous sim will literally be tense about not seeing their spouse when they are literally in the next room
When marry sue walked over in TS3 I DIEEED
