My thoughts of Cassandra's neverending pregnancies is that maybe when she's having a baby due to story progression, it doesn't discharge her pregnancy. So it means that when you get back to her household, the babies are born, but Cassandra is still pregnant with her first pregnancy, idk if that sounds clear
I got this mod the other day and I noticed that as soon as a sim ages to adult, the mod moves them out of the household, but I can't find them anywhere in the family bin. They still technically exist, they are in the family tree, you can call them on the phone, you can talk to them but can't invite them over. So I'm not sure how to get these sims back or make them into romantic interests since I can only reach them by phone and that's it.
Shoutout to Lucy Burb for growing up and chosing BEAUTIFUL NORMAL clothes lol Whenever one of my sim grow up, they have weird random clothes combinaison, like a crop top with a weird horse ridding pant lol

I also noticed that when Lucy aged up into a teen, she was automatically assigned an aspiration. Some might like that but some might not. Super cool mod tho!! I never played the sims 3 and this sounds like the kind of chaos I love hahaha
Look, you've already convinced me to go back to Sims 2 and I'm having so much fun with it. The personalities jump out and it's so refreshing...but now you're telling me story progression???
first off: thank u for making ts2 videos, is making me consider getting a new copy bc your vids remind me how fun it was (its been *14 years* since i played but oml it was. so fun) secondly: andrzej = Andrei/Andre/Andrey/however you spell it
Man, this really says so many things. About Sims 2, about the community and about EA. Like, you would have thought after nearly twenty years that TS2 would be kinda like how people play the ORIGINAL sims? Something maybe you go back to for Nostalgia, play a while to feel like a kid, do everything you can do in it and then put it away for another extended period of time. Some sort of time capsule the community looks at with rose tinted glasses. But it isn't. It is truly the "Goldilocks" game of the series, everything in the complete collection unmodded is enough for you to go back to and enjoy, spending countless hours in. Even unmodded, the game as is, is just right and you can be happy with it as an installment to the series. Then the seemingly limitless capacity this game has to be modded, has made it stand the test of time. TS3 hasn't really done that for me. TS4 sure as shit hasn't either. Something about this game is timeless and it's truly sad that EA has been unable to even come close to repeating what they did here ever since.
YESSS OH MY GOD!! This is one of the biggest downfalls I had playing The Sims 2 as I love to play generations on just one family and it would ruin the vibe for me knowing the other people in the neighborhood had to be aged up etc, fuck yeah shot Lazy Duchess and Cindy for showing us this (pulling through as always)
I mostly stopped playing the TS2 after I started playing the TS3 and TS4, because I loved story progression so much. I tend to play one or two families where I micromanage everything, but with the Sims 2, that means you have one branch of the family on the second or third gen, and Grandma is still an adult the same age as her other less played kids. Thank you for making a video on this!
Andrzej Burb got me on the floor hahaha polish names in an english game are just too funny, and also your face when Herb died, lol! Thank you for making this video, the mod is pretty amazing!
This is amazing❤️❤️ sims 5 needs to take notes that these are the things we want. I would LOVEE it if sims 5 allowed inactive sims to move house on their own, and renovate their existing house based on their funds (imagine them making a little baby room for a new birth!!)
I love to play rotationally and control each family, but this is AMAZING. I stopped doing legacies because there wasn't a story progression. If I ever get in the mood for a legacy or if I want to play a couple families and not the whole hood I am most definitely going to get this!
About the mod compatibility: I threw this mod on top of my "normal" downloads, after backing up my data. The only things I noticed, that are incompatible are almost all mods by piqiwi (parenting, holidays, afterschool/afterwork activities), community time project and chrishatch's alternate pregnancy controller. Though this was espected. Angela and lillith weren't going to college in my save as well. Maybe it's something about their interests/personality.
@@Arianagizycko Hi! I have the mod and its modules in a seperate folder in my downloads. You don't have to keep the original folder structure. I advise to not do that in fact. Longer strings of folders makes it harder for the game to read said folder. There are also readme-files, which will slow down the game unnecessarily. Just create a new folder in your downloads and plop dow the files you want. (I named mine "Z_Storyprogression", so it will load last.) In the main folder of the mod-archive are the packages ld_storyprogression_common, ld_storyprogression_socials, ld_timesync, ld_timesync_token, ld_timesync_token_antilate. Those are the basis. You'll need them no matter what. Copy paste them to your new folder. In the next folder of the archive are the modules for the mod. If you want the whole thing add ld_storyprogression_aging, ld_storyprogression_aspiration, ld_storyprogression_genderpref, ld_storyprogression_jobs, ld_storyprogression_pregnancies, ld_storyprogression_relationships, ld_storyprogression_uni to your new folder as well. If you want to you can also "mute" some of the notifications. In the "Aging" sub-folder are optional packages, that disable the pop-up, but not the functionality. (e.g. "ld_noBabyPopup" will stop the game from telling you, that currently not played sims are having a baby.) I hope this helps! :)
I couldn't believe my eyes when this video popped up in my notifications. I've wanted a story progression for the Sims 2 ever since trying it in Sims 3. This makes the game a whole new experience! Thank you for covering this and testing it out, Cindy :)
Wow, this is so impressive! I never thought this could be done, it’s going to bring a whole new life into this game! Sims 2 modders are always pulling out the most amazing content! (Also, I was shocked that the modder’s tumblr says she is 19 years old... young to be so talented with programming.) I can see a couple of little things that I might like to have work differently (like I’d rather not be notified who the father is when a sim becomes pregnant) and I’m curious about conflicts with other mods. But I haven’t been playing the sims for a while and this has got me interested enough to tempt me back into the game...
Few days ago I was actually searching for Sims 2 story progression cuz I was getting tired of switching between three divided households that's all bound by one family tree, really glad somebody made a mod after all these years :D
I’m just now getting into the sims 2. I’ve always played sims 3 but the lag has finally got to me and I can’t anymore so I went back to the sims 2. I never realized how in depth the game is and how much more fun it is than any title in the franchise. The only thing holding me back was the lack of story progression but now we have it!!
this is so crazy!! i was just talking to my boyfriend about how i miss the sims 2 and that story progression was holding me back from playing again. NOW i have to!!!
Thank God for this! I used to play one family and none of the relationships would make sense because they'd age while nobody else in the neighbourhood did. It annoyed me so much I started playing rotationally and having to note down how many days I played each family, which was pretty time consuming, especially when it got to a family I wasn't bothered about playing. This changes EVERYTHING. Let's hope it doesn't conflict with other mods...
Scripted events aside, Don peeping on Dina and her catching him was hilarious! Also, starting a new Pleasantview with Bella Goth at the wedding party? That sounds like an awesome alternate. Great vid and mod! #Sims
Daniel being an absolute idiot after cheating is so Daniel. Definitely going to be trying out this mod, thank you! I miss The Sims 3 story progression but love The Sims 2 more.
What a great mod. My favourite household by far in Pleasantview is the Broke family, and there are times that I will start a new save and just play them, and I really wish that the other households will progress on their own, so I will be trying this out myself for sure. I look forward to seeing more videos like this.
CINDY!!!!!! I would not have known about this mod if I didn't catch your Twitch Stream today. I haven't play Sims 2 since the summer of last year because I was just so bored with it. I will have to play this mod with a Maxis megahood this weekend. Thank you for this video. My little Simmer heart is very happy right now.
WHAT?!?!?! OMG I have been looking for something like this! (also, I just noticed you posted this on my birthday, so I guess I'm considering this a late present xDDD)
It's so fun to see that The Sims 2 is still going strong after 17 years! I thought that this would never come to the game, but the modders community has done it once again and I'm beyond excited to try this mod!
Oh my god, I love this!! I don't personally like playing in that style and always turned story progression off in sims 3/4, but I'm tempted to try a clean maxis neighbourhood, perhaps a pleasantview+strangetown merged hood with the anygamestarter to see what happens in my game when I'm not controlling it all...! Thank you for this video. It's crazy but also amazing and I'm so thankful how alive and kicking the sims 2 community is still
omg my dream come true, finaly story progression in the sims 2, loved it in the sims 3 and wanted this mod for so long for the sims 2. thank you cindy for sharing this
I don't like using mods but find these videos fun watching what happens when mods are used so hope u do a stream on this as i bet that will be really fun to watch
I'm really happy that a mod of this scale has been made for a 16 year old game! I love TS2, and it's funny because recently I've been playing it and I was thinking about how much I missed story progression with how demanding I found having to rotate between all the houses for consistencies sake, especially when i found myself not so invested in all the stories. I am so thankful to the creator for this, and you too for making this video!
I’ve been playing a legacy family in the sims 2 and it’s been annoying to have to go in and out of the game and sims PE to adjust ages of different sims whenever my household members aged up, this made my day thank you.

They still technically exist, they are in the family tree, you can call them on the phone, you can talk to them but can't invite them over. So I'm not sure how to get these sims back or make them into romantic interests since I can only reach them by phone and that's it.
Shoutout to Lucy Burb for growing up and chosing BEAUTIFUL NORMAL clothes lol
Whenever one of my sim grow up, they have weird random clothes combinaison, like a crop top with a weird horse ridding pant lol
Townies aging up has to be the best part of this. Hope they also marry/have kids so the pool constantly replenishes!
wow, I remember back when freetime came out and allowed you to choose two townies to age up with your sim and I was so excited.. and now here we are
I can't wait to get my hands on this one. I am terrible at rotational play and many families shoot off into others and I can't handle them all.
Then this will be a great mod for you!
Wow, this mod is very impressive. I may try it out though I don’t really care about story progression. Thanks for the video tho!
whoa! lazyduchess has been releasing must have mods for the last few months 😍😍😍 keep it up! thanks Cindy for covering this! can't wait to have my greedy paws on this
This is a legendary day for the community that still plays the Sims 2, now there are no excuses✨
The personalities jump out and it's so refreshing...but now you're telling me story progression???
first off: thank u for making ts2 videos, is making me consider getting a new copy bc your vids remind me how fun it was (its been *14 years* since i played but oml it was. so fun)
secondly: andrzej = Andrei/Andre/Andrey/however you spell it
Thank you!!!
I don't think that this is for me, but I love the concept and hope a lot of you have fun with it
Man, this really says so many things.
I am so excited all my sims 2. Generations kids can finally move on and live a life outside my family
OMG this is amazing! It makes the game so much more alive - the time sync alone is one of the best features!
Holy crap a story progression mod for sims 2?? Sign me up
I mostly stopped playing the TS2 after I started playing the TS3 and TS4, because I loved story progression so much.
Oh Gosh, when you tried pronouncing "Andrzej" was hilarious. I just pronounce it as André LOL. LOL 22:15 - "Poor Herb 😒😒"
wowww time sync alone is huge. this is amazing, i love modders so much.
I love to play rotationally and control each family, but this is AMAZING. I stopped doing legacies because there wasn't a story progression. If I ever get in the mood for a legacy or if I want to play a couple families and not the whole hood I am most definitely going to get this!
I had this mod and Brandi Broke had like 12 kids with like 4 different baby daddies lol
Hii! Could you help me? 🙈Am I supposed to leave the folder structure as it is or unpack everything in the mod folder on the same level?
@@Arianagizycko Hi! I have the mod and its modules in a seperate folder in my downloads. You don't have to keep the original folder structure. I advise to not do that in fact. Longer strings of folders makes it harder for the game to read said folder. There are also readme-files, which will slow down the game unnecessarily. Just create a new folder in your downloads and plop dow the files you want. (I named mine "Z_Storyprogression", so it will load last.)
In the main folder of the mod-archive are the packages ld_storyprogression_common, ld_storyprogression_socials, ld_timesync, ld_timesync_token, ld_timesync_token_antilate.
(e.g. "ld_noBabyPopup" will stop the game from telling you, that currently not played sims are having a baby.)
I hope this helps! :)
never ever ever thought i'd cry over a the sims mod, but this makes my childhood game literally perfect
(Also, I was shocked that the modder’s tumblr says she is 19 years old... young to be so talented with programming.)
I can see a couple of little things that I might like to have work differently (like I’d rather not be notified who the father is when a sim becomes pregnant) and I’m curious about conflicts with other mods.
I prefer to play each household separately but I know this mod will make so many people happy!
About firstborn syndrome, this same modder has a launcher for the game that fixes it, and I use it (it's amazing!)
You should try out Sims2RPC is a neat new launcher for Sims 2 and it fixes first born syndrome, improves the camera and etc...
I don't think I've clicked a video so fast this week. I can't wait to download and try this mod. Thanks for sharing Cindy!
Oh my god!!!! LazyDuchess already made me so happy with her first born syndrome fix and now she left me speechless
I think I‘m speaking for every Sims 2 fan, that this is a mod we have been waiting for soooo long time! 😍
This mod seems incredible! Even down to the game naming and putting the baby in the crib! Wow!
I knew you'd be on top of this mod. Thanks for the quick update.
Thank you so much for watching! 💙
It's crazy but also amazing and I'm so thankful how alive and kicking the sims 2 community is still
This will be perfect for my new legacy challenge! I wonder if townies and NPCs will grow up and have kids too
omg my dream come true, finaly story progression in the sims 2, loved it in the sims 3 and wanted this mod for so long for the sims 2. thank you cindy for sharing this
I don't like using mods but find these videos fun watching what happens when mods are used so hope u do a stream on this as i bet that will be really fun to watch
I'm shook!! This another example of how talented the sim community is!
I would LOVE to see you make a series with this mod!!!
We just need the "Visiting neighbors " mod and sims 2 will be the BEST
this is everything I EVER WANTED
I’ve been playing a legacy family in the sims 2 and it’s been annoying to have to go in and out of the game and sims PE to adjust ages of different sims whenever my household members aged up, this made my day thank you.
