When the cigarette lighter does not work often it is sufficient to replace the fuse of the car's cigarette lighter socket. Solution to the problem and circuit restoration.

I did this to mine but after I turn car off the 12v was still putting power out is that normal??
when you turn the power off, is normal if isn't working. but when you turn the dashboard on should working, unless you check out the other fuses in the engine box.
Depends on the car. Many vehicles, especially older ones, will have a constant power. That’s why back when everyone started carrying cell phones, with inefficient batteries, people would leave their nonUSB phone chargers plugged in all the time, even if it wasn’t charging anything. After a day or so, the car’s battery would be dead due to the drain whatever they left plugged in.

hi, check the fuse if it breaks after you've replaced it and you've turned on the engine. if it breaks you should have a different electrical problem with structures that interact with the circuit. if the fuse does not break, the problem is probably the cigarette lighter. If you can not find other ways, consult a mechanic.

2010 Grand Marquis. I'm pulling my goddamn hair out. I changed the fuse and I'm still not getting power! What the hell is going on?! All 12V outlet videos have to do with fuses. Am I the only one with this problem??

Fixing the broken fuse you fix the broken lighter. Obviously the lighter is in good shape, but doesn't work
