- What should you do after being diagnosed with autism?
In this vidoe I am going to give you some tips on what to do if you've just been diagnosed with autism, ASC, ASD, Aspergers etc.
If you want to know more about Autism, it's histroy and some people who might have had it, I can recommend the book 'Neurotribes' by Steve Silberman. It's how I first started learning about Autism as well!
Silberman, Steve. NeuroTribes: the Legacy of Autism and How to Think Smarter about People Who Think Differently. Allen & Unwin, 2016.

Defenitions:
Stimming: Stereotyped movements such as rocking back and forth or flapping hands, which many autistic people find work well to regulate emotions or deal with stressful situations.
Special Interests: Focused and intense interests, which many autistic people experience. Engaging with something related to a special interest (often shortened to SpIn) is by most autistics experienced as deeply pleasurable.
