What is the operation you do to the upper arm at 19:19? Is it a split or something? So awesome to watch a sculpt like this from start to finish! Keep making these please!
Hey man, absolutely love the work, please keep sharing, so inspiring :) Also could you list the name of the musics in the video if that isn't too much work ? I know you've included the yt channels that produced them but I cannot find the ones I am looking for
Awesome work as always! I'm just diving back in with the beta and had a few questions for you: How are you getting a buttery smooth flow right at the beginning? When I start with the Clay cube shape, it's very stepped as I draw out the shape. Is it the Smoothing set to "Steady"? And then at the :35 second mark, it looks like you duplicated the piece, but how did you merge it to the previous layer? I'm watching at reduced speed to pick up some tips. :)
To get smooth strokes you just have to be at a low enough resolution. The higher your layer resolution is, the more stepping you're gonna get. And yes i just duplicated the part and merged it back with itself.
Hi! I beg you, please share your opinion about Substance 3d modeler and Adobe medium. I am a generalist concept artist and I really want to try and switch to VR pipeline in the near future and I am very interested in your opinion on this matter. Is Substance 3d modeler a worthy alternative to Adobe medium and what disadvantages does it have? Is it possible to work in Adobe Medium now, or has it been completely abandoned by developers? Maybe you know if it works with Meta Quest 2\3 headset? Are you working in 3d modeler now because Adobe medium was abandoned, or are there other reasons? Which VR headset do you use and which one would you recommend?
Sure Ill address all that next time a do a stream. But essentially I switched to Modeler because it can handle more geometry and layers than Medium. Medium isnt receiving new updates but you can still use it for free. Im using a Quest 2/3 and Pro, and prefer the 3.
@@MechNuggets thank you dude! Being loving your course on Gnomon, thank you so much for this videos, really inspiring us to get into substance since it used to be very buggy but now it feels way more stable
What is happening at 27:29? I see you cut/erase and then somehow select the erased area to lift it into a panel. How do you isolate that area you are selecting so that it seems to have become its own piece, was this a boolean operation? Thanks for sharing your sculpting though! I mostly use blender but sculpting in VR using modeler has a cool feel to it Edit: I went back in and tried some more myself and found its the Split tool in the erase section 😁
Give us a tutorial please :)
Its like watching a graffiti artist. looove watching these sculpts
GOOD SHIT
Lovely design. Can you please explain in what terms does Quest 3 feel better than Quest 2. Trying to decide if I should invest in it. Thanks.
The resolution is better, makes it more comfortable to use for long periods of time.
MechNuggets, Your videos always brighten my day, so I subscribed!

What vr headset do you use now for sculpting? I have the Meta Quest 2 and thinking to upgrade to 3, is it worth it?
I dont have the Quest 3, im also considering upgrading. I have the 2 and the Pro

ADD "WINDBLOWS ONLY" TO YOUR VIDEO DESCRIPTION AND TITLE. THANKS
great work!!. When you render, do you retopologiy and pull out the low poly? or do you render in high poly?
I render everything high poly in Keyshot. I have footage of that process here: ruclips.net/video/WhGOOVuUCxQ/видео.htmlsi=rfLiXAxEaJTSkJK4&t=1600
@@MechNuggets Thanks for the answer!
can you do a video on exporting? I keep getting either bugs or crashes from the program
nice work. which headmount do you use?
Quest 2 and Quest Pro
how different is substance modeler to adobe medium?
planning to do a video that explains all of that
Awesome @@MechNuggets
@@MechNuggets looking forward to it!
@@MechNuggets Yeah!
By the way! How do you do linear arrays? Like in 8:57, you duplicated that shape in a straight line
Also had the same question :p
NOT AVAILABLE FOR MAC!
do you prefer this over adobe medium?
Iv been using it more recently, so yes. Medium still a beast tho
@@MechNuggets nice, i still need to check out your medium tutorial when i get a chance!
what is the purpose of wellow cubes at 14:41 ? cant understand ... booleans?
Yeah its a intersect boolean. I used it to split the hands from the arm, kinda like a mask.
How you import and export? 🤔
File>Import
File>Export
😅
Can someone explain the steps to do a repetition like this @8:51 ? I cannot find documentation of it.
just shift drag the gizmo to copy the object and increase the count of objects with your left thumbstick left and right
@@MechNuggets Thank you so much Ill try this ASAP. Kudos for the awesome work!
