Amazing stuff! I'm so glad I got recommended this by pure chance. I primarily do programming for VR and XR games since I struggle so much with 3D modelling within traditional applications, but doing this kind of stuff in VR seems like it'd work a lot better for me. Is this the version of Adobe Substance Modeler on Steam?
I have a true tutorial on Gnomon Workshop for Adobe Medium. For Modeler I have to wait about a year before I can make an official in depth one. In the meantime, you can watch the streams I upload, I try to cover stuff in a more casual manner.
Can I ask about your texturing process? I know you use Substance Painter, but do you typically have to retopologize and clean up UVs at all before moving to Substance Painter? I'm still on the free version of Medium so not sure if there are options for topology and UVs in Substance Modeler. My models are nowhere near as clean as yours at the moment so not sure if I just need to practice more or if I should just move my models to zbrush to paint polygroups and zremesh to help clean up (for game design assets).
For this I decimated and auto uv in Modeler during the export. The retopology algo they use to decimate is getting better and better with each update. If it was made for proper game asset it would have to be done manually to be kosher. But for my intended purpose, even if the geometry is wonky it doesnt really matter, its just a concept.
Hi, cool videos! Tell me please, is there a difference working in Substance 3D Modeler on Oculus Quest 2 and Oculus Quest 3? Does it make sense to upgrade from 2 to 3?
So awesome - this is the closest I've seen to a game-ready hard surface highpoly made in modeler!
Dude this is such a cool design, I didn’t realize VR modeling was this advanced now…
Never stop, please! I learn so much and I'm just a 2D concept artist. Thanks for sharing!
wow your whole channel is mindblowing
Very cool concept! This clearly shows how much more quickly you can prototype something in VR than traditional 3D packages.
Master class
i have indeed seen a cool gun
super interesting! i didnt know vr modeling was even possible
This looks amazing 🔥💯🙌🏼!!
I just want the controllers to work on my monitor...but I can only dream...love the work.
that's pretty incredible tbh
Seriously tho, really really dope design
beast

Thank you based Algorithm XD Im using both the Steam version and the free Beta version.
So good. Congrats dude!
More please
So cool! The attention to detail is unheard of. Could you do some tutorials by any chance 😜?

this is so fascinating, is this a practical workflow for making production models?
I do use this every day in a professional setting, but I am concept artist not a 3D artist. I def could see this used to speed up the block in phase.
nice.. Which VR headset do you use?
Quest 3
Hey MechNuggets! any thoughts on Logitech MX Ink? seems like a pretty cool tech to have!
I have yet to get my hands on one, I really want to try it.
This is super nice! But it's not a space ship. ShipNuggets! 🙂
😆😆

Resolution and refresh rate is a bit better. It makes sense to upgrade if you use it a lot for long periods of time.
@@MechNuggets Thank you very much for your answer, I will know and definitely update.
