Thank you for providing that third method. I've always been frustrated by those cup size charts, because I have a broad back/shoulders, and even though I have boobs, the cup size is always A or AA based on the first two methods.
Hi Alexandra. I found your videos recently and I'm glad I did. They are very profesional and the information is priceless however for me at least and I guess for a lot of women living in America. It's not easy to find fabric any store that sells fabric it's just printed poplin for quilting so it's not an option to start a dress, shirt, pants etc from the beginning. The big problem now is getting something from any store and make it work for our specific bodies. RUclips is full of videos of women fixing clothing but they really have no idea what they are doing. Would you consider to go into the subject? We really need a professional like you to teach how actually fix a bad design or fit horrible pants. Manufacturers using lycra or streching fabric they want to make a piece of clothing with four seams so neck holes are very big, tops don't have right arm holes, etc. Pants are suited for women with no buttocks and narrow hips, bad crotch curves, etc. Also finishes are very important and internet is lacking that information Please we need your help! Also I have a suggestion for you seeing you have not too many subscribers, if you are planning in making a living from your expertise consider changing those thumbnails for something more alluring and changing titles on the videos. Sadly right now there are millions of videos competing in this plattform and valuable information like your is lost, maybe to increase your tags?
Thanks, very informative tutorial. Could you do an tutorial on how to determine the wire size? I have done several bras and I am getting very good at it. My problem is determining the wire size.
Thank you Alexandra. I think the 3rd method is the best for me but I get confused about the pattern size to choose. If I’m an e cup how many sizes do I have to go down ?
So fascinating that my size was entirely different across the three methods! I'm curious who / what organization determines the charts you've shown? Some fashion industry organization? For what determines cup size based on a given measurement. Thank you so much for this video!
Method One I would be a B Cup, Method 2 an F and Method 3, a D. In sewing a D works for me but in a bra I do take an F so that was VERY interesting :) Thanks again for yet another fantastic video.
Can you suggest as to where we can get rolls of that slim design line tape...ive been looking for ages.... it would change a lot as Ive lost my fitting friend, and now trying to do it myself...SOOOO time consuming doing it alone - esp when youre a very plus size.
Wow! My measurement at the bra shop and these 3 ways are all different and by a lot. I think the bra shop subtracts under bust from full bust. Good thing pop cotton jersey is cheap! Yes, my knit muslins are kids prints.
Method 3 doesn’t have my size and I am confused because with 2 other methods my size is much smaller (but usually clothes have too wide back and my bust has large cup. For method 3 does it go from H to J 16-17 cm, K 17.5-18 and so on in 0.5 cm, 1 cm ranges alternating? Is letter I excluded just like with bra sizing? It doesn’t include size GG so I assumed it doesn’t have HH and JJ and KK like EU/UK bra sizing does.
Asymmetry is primarily dealt with by creating a pattern for each side of the body or averaging the differences. Cup size calculations don't really apply in your situation, you will need to test a sample to determine the best personalized fit.

Method One I would fit a AAA, Method Two I would fit a AAA, Method Three I would fit an E. Method Three is accurate for me. Thanks!Janey in NZ

Good evening mam. I would like to learn fitting techniques with u. Do you have any fitting classes? If so how can I join?

I have an A cup on my right side, and a C cup on my left side. How do I figure out my cup size, or do a full bust adjustment?

I love your dress form madam
