Bill Bailey is intelligent, clever, witty and uses his extensive musical skills to provide excellent British comedy. He has lampooned the musical styles of bands such as Rammstein, Kraftwerk etc. whilst able to play a wide variety of musical instruments, rewriting songs in his own wicked style. There are many RUclips videos showing his talent.
I saw Bill Bailey live a few months ago here in Australia. At one point he dissed Coldplay and said their music sounds better in Turkish. And for the next 5 minutes he sang Coldplay's "Yellow" in Turkish and got us to join in. So random and brilliant 🤣
Definitely need to do more Bill. He's not only very funny, but he's a virtuoso on so many weird instruments. You could ask him to perform a comedic political song on a sitar in the style of a Danish jazz band and he'd do it.
Bill Bailey was a really close friend of Sean Lock. They would regularly go on holiday together with their families and I can only imagine how funny it must have been when those two were having a beer together 😂
Bill bailey is definitely one you need to add into your rotation. Intelligent, immensely musically talented. All of his stand up shows are absolute joys. He also did a special called his guide to the orchestra where he explains every section of the orchestra using comedy and his immense talent. I'm sure everyone will agree with me on watching the whole stand ups when you guys get a chance. Great content guys and best wishes from Ireland
Bill is Brilliant. An excellent comedian and a great musician. Also a dedicated wildlife enthusiast and conservationist. His variations on the old "three men walk into a pub" jokes are hilarious. It's worth catching some of the sitcom he mentioned ("Black Books") too.
I've seen him live, he's amazing. Seems to be able to play any style of music, on any instrument you can imagine, using brand new lyrics, all based on random suggestions from the audience.
Bill live is definitely an experience. I was at one gig in Oxford, ten or twelve years ago now - we dragged him back on stage for eight or nine encores, one of which involved him teaching the audience how to actually sing "La Bamba", and he wouldn't stop until we got it right.
Saw him some years ago, he was heckled and ripped the annoying drunk audient member to pieces with a few choice words which made everyone else roar with laughter.
I still recall the very first time I saw him live; I was in pain from laughing so much! He really has mastered the art of riffing off the audience. Sadly when he progressed to doing arena tours the gigs lost a lot of that rapport due to the sheer scale. Fortunately, he's gone back to doing more "intimate" venues again which far better suit his style.
Saw him live. One of the best live acts I've ever seen. Also, laughed so much my ribs hurt and I nearly suffocated. The best thing about it was it was like sitting on the couch in the living room with a bunch of really good friends taking the piss. He played the audience like an instrument
Watched your reactions to our comedians (a little too obsessed) for 10 days now. Love seeing you both discovering British humour and all these people who have lit up our lives with laughter. This was the first time I reacted with a NOOOO when it finished too soon! You must do more Bill!!
Worked with Bill a couple of times in the 90's, Can honestly say that I have never enjoyed any gigs more than his. Musical genius with an equal comedic talent.
Try "Terry Wogan Reads Janet And John". Back in the day this was the best part of driving to work in the morning. You'll probably have to put a few together to make a video though.
In 2020 Bailey won the 18th series of the televised BBC dancing competition Strictly Come Dancing with his professional partner Oti Mabuse. At 55, he was the oldest winner in the show's history.
Bill Bailey is an amazing musician, multi instrumentalist. He is extremely intelligent, not only that but very wise too. From the West Country, he sometimes slips into his West Country accent. He can often be found sitting cross legged on a tree stump in the middle of the forest, contemplating, and giving out little pearls of wisdom. He is known down here as the Dalai Farmer. Watch ANYTHING with his name in it, you can not go wrong, he's not too bad
I just sat down to watch your F1 video and you throw out this Bill Baily one! Ohhh yes! Cannot wait, glad you're catching his comedy as well as his acting! Brilliant! Thank you guys!
You haven't even began to scratch the surface of Bill's genius. Given your tastes and music interests, Bill may end up your favourite comedian of all. If there's one clip that always stays with me, it has to be 'Kraftwerk Hokey Cokey'!
Bill is probably the most versatile talented performer , it seems there is nothing he can't do . He won Strictly come dancing , seemingly effortlessly , he seems to be able to play almost any musical instrument and his comedy is so versatile . Always worth watching anything he is in .
When a saw Bill live a few years ago in my home town, had to go to the hospital afterwards, due to the cramp in my jaw that was agonising due to bloody laughing too much, Bill is a genius on so many levels, glad you lads have had a little taster of this legend.
Of all the grwat comedians in the world, Bill Bailey is my all time favourite. His musical ability, loveable humour and intelect is a perfect blend. More of him, yes please! 🤣
Bill is referring to the high number of convertibles in UK as "optimism" in reference to UK weather - i.e it rains a lot to warrant to have a such a car in the first place, and hence it is way "optimistic" to assume weather will be good for driving them.
Yeah, good idea to check out more Bill. He's excellent at morphing his comedy and music, and he's also a blindin' keyboard player which he incorporates into his act equally well.
Bill Bailey is an amazing comedian, and a brilliant rabbit hole to have fallen into. Check out his tango dance to Metallicas Enter Sandman which won him Strictly Come Dancing (Dancing with the stars). Excellent reaction guys. 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Bill Baily is often on QI think he is the second most apeearences on there, hw is always good on it and I am sure there will be a Bill Baily QI compilation on here.
LOVE That your going down the Bil Bailey Road. No one reacts to Bill and he's always been one of my favs. Aswell as being bloody funny, watching Bill will also make u smater 🤘🤘☯️
Another hidden gem..thats bill for you, there is plenty to see and early videos not quite up there with later ones but all in all he is a master of musical mischief and funny in himself.
If you look at some short clips of him at Royal Variety Shows or on "The One Show" you will see much more of his amazing musical talents used for comedic effect.
Bill Bailey is a class act, and the fact that you guys have gotten 1.2k views within an hour is awesome, though only 134 likes (including mine). Come on folks! How hard is it to hit the like button once in a while? Keep up the great work guys. Cheers from the UK!
You guys are great. You're watching the videos for what they are and having fun without any motive. I love Bill Bailey's humour, and it's great to see other people enjoying it, too.
He mentioned appearing in the sitcom Black Books. You could do worse than have a look at that; particularly look for the episode where Manny discovers he can play the piano.
Look for Bill Bailey's alternative dark version of Happy Birthday. It is hilarious. Or his version of the star spangled banner in the minor key that turns all dark and Russian. It is a scream.
Bill Bailey is amazing..very gifted and witty and somewhat strange and whimsical lol he reminds me of some cool men i met growing up who i ended up using as role models and such like. It's funny cause when i see him perform or just talk generally i get mad nostalgia pangs 😆
There's a surprising number of actors and comedians that are not only into metal but death metal that we all know. I love how Bill puts that aspect of his musical tastes into his work.
One of my favourite bits that I saw live was during an anecdote from another comedy show he did where he asked the audience "who knows where barnacles come from?" and to his surprise one voice from the back responded "nobody tell him."
not many comedians like bb he has a mix of comedy there is a lot in London who are all political and get in the way of the skills you need that fits into all pockets bb is the few who are just down to earth and funny in his own right.
Find the RUclips clip where Bill explains the difference between major and minor keys then plays The Star Spangled Banner in a minor key. You won't believe what it sounds like.
Btw..a good reaction channel becomes an epic reaction channel over time cause a good one listens to it's audience and you guys deffo do.. av seen some of my fav reactions on this channel alone some of them id even have forgot to ask for (well done community) hope yous keep going n going.. both of you are really sound guys.
Bill is incredible, seen him live a few times. He did an album release of metal-ised songs as well if you’re intereste. It’s on Spotify - “Bill Bailey - in metal”…a really good listen if you haven’t come across it.
Billy Bailey is a legend, he is a highly intelligent man, as well as being funny as shit. He's also a musical polymath, he was classical trained on the piano since he was 4, can play just about any instrument, and does nature shows as well as David Attenborough. Etc etc etc.
Bill Bailey is probably one, if not thee most talented and funny comedians we have today. Ironically although he is almost universally applauded he isn't often in the collective minds or as often accoladed as other more "popular" comedians. He is a super talent so enjoy your trip down the rabbit hole with this one, I know you're going to be seeing a lot outpouring of love for Mr bailey.
Love it, lads! Saw Bill live in Belfast a few years ago; one of the greatest gigs ever - I know it was great as I cannot remember any of it now :p I just remember he played a lot of mandolin and bouzouki

He's an amazing talent. On so many levels.
And such a gentle soul, hearing him talk about losing his close friend Sean Lock breaks my heart.
He really could have been worse.
@Paul Hitchens oh god if my Dad were here he would probably long statement why he hates The Edge 😆

The episode of black books where his character discovers he can play piano is just genius!
Damn right
Bill Bailey was a really close friend of Sean Lock. They would regularly go on holiday together with their families and I can only imagine how funny it must have been when those two were having a beer together 😂
Sean brought Bill into doing stand up. They were so close 🙂
You can clearly see they influenced each other a lot. They both shared that bizarro mentality along with props.
Oh to be a fly on the wall to those conversations.

Bill Bailey and Sean Lock were best friends who used to go hiking together. Imagine those hikes.
I imagine they were calm and wholesome really, especially when Sean was deteriorating health-wise. I bet they just talked things over quietly.
