    Thanks for an excellent video. I agree with getting someone who actually has to deal with the pain of putting on a sling.

    Great video! Should employ someone that has actually had shoulder surgery. You'll get a better picture of the painful contortions you have to go through to do such a simple chore.

      I totally agree, without using someone in the pain of making these moves it looses all credibility with me. I can't begin to make those movements.

      If they had a person with a real injury demonstrate this it would be an hour long video to do everything this guy did. I’m only on day two of my shoulder injury. I’m not even up to doing the stuff by myself I need somebody to help me.

    What if it's a broken humerus? I sincerely doubt my husband could let his arm hang down like that. I know he couldn't raise it to button a shirt. And he absolutely couldn't stand a pillow under his arm to shower. I'm afraid this wasn't nearly as useful as I had hoped. He fell and broke the arm a week ago last night and won't even get a CT until tomorrow. don't know yet when he can have surgery to repair the break. meanwhile he is in a cloth sling that slips all the time. I have wrapped his upper arm to his chest over the sling just above the elbow using an ACE bandage to try to stabilize it more. that's the only thing that has given him any comfort other than pain meds.

    I’m having a shoulder replacement in a few months. I’m trying to research what to wear, I had no idea what was involved to get sling off/on. Shouldn’t the waist strap closure be in front? Yikes I’m concerned if I can do this!!
    Watching your model is helpful and nice to look at, lol🤗. I had to say it!

  • @RR-rr9yy
    @RR-rr9yy 2 года назад

    That was smart............to use a table to to block view of a lot of what you intended to show us. It would have been useful to see the guy's hand position/motion while doing all these movements to take off/put on shirt and sling. It does make a big difference how you use your hand and lower arm so it does not affect the surgery.

    that is SOME SLING! They sent me home with one so cheap Amazon doesn't even have one like it. Maybe because it's Medicare, but I can't wait to see what they charged for THAT POS! I have a nice one coming for 12.99. I don't see anything similar to the one shown. Maybe that is overkill? Great vid!!!

    This makes no sense. I have just experienced a fractured humerus and subsiquent ORIF surgery. I used a simple spare sling and with help put that on for showering. Afterwards with help put my main sling back on. Hang wet sling on clothes line. Completely supported in shower. I doubt holding a pillow and soaping up would work.

    I was due to have my left shoulder replaced last march. Instead I bought
    a Harley.. Yeah My wife thought that was a real SMART move. I moved it
    to this December then thought...MRI, pre op, post op, Possible
    infection, 6 weeks in a sling, sleeping in a lazy Boy, physical
    therapy..Etc
    Hey at 69 you're suppose to feel like crap. I'll suck it
    up and ride till the pain becomes unbearable, or till grandma makes a
    left turn in front of me..
