@Deep Claymore dude it’s a movie
@@andrejackson7372 yeah so anything can happen lol
@Deep Claymore I'm not sure exactly what the point of the bloody nose was since it started happening without them using their powers, maybe if the movie showed them progressing growing more ill just because of the fact that they used powers at some point, then it would have more meaning. Or maybe the three are connected and that's why some of them bleed when the other was using their powers.
anyways, the "rule" was that they just keep practicing it like a muscle. like working out. Keep using it, and steadily progess to heavier and more complicated tasks.
@@asianpersuasion4901 I think the random nose bleeds are because they're connected like you said, whenever they experienced it Andrew was in emotional distress
@Deep Claymore i vaguely remember them mentioning that it's like a muscle. The more they use it, the stronger it becomes
Matt goes from a nerdy guy that is to smart to hangout, to a very socially positive guy, it seems the powers had a good influence on him.
Same can't be sayed about Andrew it basically turned him into a villain
If I had those powers, I’ll use them when I think Is necessary
But nearly killing a driver and throwing a bus at someone isn’t necessary.
I really don't think it was just the powers that made him a villan though, abuse and bullying are the heavy weights on that part. But the powers sure pushed the situation to the extreme.
@@Reqcore it isn’t just the bullying and abuse, its that his entire life he’s felt ostracized. His own cousin didnt even enjoy hanging out with him, the only person who loves him is dying, his dad is abusive & he probably felt like it was him vs the world. Especially when the only person who cared about him ended up dying because he couldn’t get the medicine, he tried one last time to do something good, even if it meant he had to do something terrible to get it. I assume in a situation like that he just completely snapped and decided to go in full hunt mode after the choice of words his father gave him.
Maybe it's like the super soldier serum. Good becomes better and bad becomes worse.
Steve's death was probably the saddest part because he took time to make friends with Andrew..... Rip both of them eventually, matt was the only logical thinking person

but the purpose of this movie is the struggle of Andrew life, the power is the metaphor for his emotional impulse ( the fact that it literally get stronger when Andrew get emotional, Andrew throughout the movie is the one who suffer the most, so his emotions is probably the strongest one out of 3, i mean he is able to fly first try, he save his friends, he crush the entire car,... etc... ) and that's why this movie is really good, because it's relateable by any mean

All of this could have been avoided if Andrew had just told Matt that his dad was abusing him.
It's not easy to speak up about such things.
I sympathize with Andrew and understand why it is he was driven to take the path he took by the end of this movie. BUT I think we need to understand that just because we sympathize with someone's situation/decisions. It doesn't mean that we actually AGREE with what that person may do/ has done as a result of what made us sympathize with them to begin with. What Andrew did was awful and there's nothing that can excuse the actions he took by the end of the movie. YES the people in his school where shitty for what they did to him and they 1000% needed to learn that their actions have very real consequences AND YES! Andrew's father was a complete sack of burning shit that deserved to burn in hell for treating Andrew the way he did.
But that doesn't change the fact that Andrew hurt and even KILLED people! If Andrew was still spoiler alert alive past the point things went the way they did. Andrew would have never been able to take what he did back. Once you take another person's life that's something you have to live the rest of your life knowing you did.
You can understand the motovations of a criminal but that person is still a criminal at the end of the day. Andrew had someone who actually cared about him in his cousin. But Andrew focused solely on the negatives of his life and he became something he probably would have never thought he could become, a killer.
I don't think we can excuse the fact that Andrew had a choice as a sentient person to become what he became. Andrew could have turned out very different by the end of this film. Had he remembered that he had people who did actually fucking care about him, and that he actually wasn't alone. Unfortunately his newfound power blinded him to that fact. Because as the old saying goes "No one is born evil, they grow up to become evil".

I always wondered if Steve never died, would he be the Goku of the three lol. He seemed to always be the first to do next level stuff with his powers. First to move cars and fly. Andrew's strength came from anger but Steve's seemed to come from pure creativity.
I think Steve was the one with the most potential, Andrew was the one with the most time and motivation to hone his powers during the movie. One of the main writers in an interview was talking about what the sequel to this movie would be. Matt would develop healing powers, closing wounds and moving cells to heal telekinetically. He would be more of a pacifist.
My headcanon on how the others' powers would develop would be that Andrew would be fueled by anger and prefers to attack from a distance; he would throw cars and buses. He did send down the lightning bolt that killed Steve so if he trains, Andrew might develop the power to charge particles in the air with telekinesis to make electricity or vibrate them so much to make heat, basically becoming a fire bender as well.
Steve is the most creative, I could see him totally using telekinesis to enhance physical attacks. Straight football rush, juggernaut burst through anything since I think he was an athlete. Then I could see him do some MMA-style fighting enhanced with telekinesis. Shields and barriers. Maybe even using telekinesis to make new things, like just grabbing some oxygen atoms and some hydrogen atoms and combining it to make water out of thin air. So much potential. It would be so awesome.

Instead he choose violence and died alone and angry.
Karen isn’t a Karen at all but his father is a real bob
I see he used his telekinesis to make sure his kicks were pumped up...
Chronicle is one of the best found footage movies.
Chronicle and troll hunter are my 2 favourite found footage films
@@Sundowner13 haven't heard about troll hunter. Lemme check. Thanks.
nah
I personally like the REC films as my favourite found footage films
@@kylejones1532 I watched that movie last year. Very realistic and creepy af.
Man this movie is so fucking underrated. This is what happens when you give small men big power. You get Andrew. And when I say small, I mean weak-minded, easily influenced. I figured based on the title we were gonna get some good memes but this was a serious recap of the movie’s plot. It just reminded me how much I fucking love this movie and I wanna watch it again. Again.
The first thing I would try do if I had powers like this is to see if I could take all the plastic out of the ocean
Be my best friend😖😫
"He avoids the confrontation and flies away"
Why is this one phrase this funny to me..? 🤣
"Andrew's nose starts bleeding"
If I had a nickle for every time I've heared that, I'd have *11* nickles
Edit: I forgot about this comment, 11 (I think) came from me thinking of a random number and the reason I said that is because I had a friend in 7th grade that was prone to nose bleeds
dang, thats a lot of nickles
That's at least a dollar
@@thejumbaking2424 If only 😢
Which Isnt Alot But Its Strange Did It Happend 11 Times
Well its like what they say
"A bad guy is born when the good guy had enough"
I wish I had seen this when it came out. It looked so interesting. There's never really a focus on how they gained their powers. The movie dealt with the responsibility of having those powers. Steve was definitely the strongest, as he was the first to move a heavy object & levitate. Andrew only had control of his powers when he felt extreme emotions…and when he was angry, nosebleeds were an issue. Matt was the de facto leader, even though he wasn’t as strong as the other two. He created the rules and he tried to help his cousin as best as he could. He was the one who made the decision to kill Andrew in order to stop him from harming more people.
Steve's death hit so hard because he really wanted to help Andrew. He was a cool kid who had no problem befriending anyone. I don't think Andrew meant to kill Steve. Whenever Andrew had a first spike in power, it was usually uncontrollable. It's just tragic that Andrew didn’t see the damage he caused from killing a good person. Have to admit, it was satisfying to see him stand up to his father…but not at the hospital. Andrew's father needed help, just like Andrew needed help. His father was the real villain…and Andrew ended up being just as abusive as his father. Poor Matt will always have to watch his back.
The end was the most epic anime battle of all time
BROOOO i was literally thinking about you making a vid about chronicle , im gladddd u did it tho , one of my all time favorites , i cant really get over it , hope it gets a sequel sometime and i know there was a sequel but it got canceled
"Crushes a car behind him with ease"
Looks like he is taking a shit
The title basically explained the plot of Akira
Well at least in this version, they didn't nuke like 2/3 of the entire city.
@@Dragonk116 lol yeah
Thoroughly surprised to see this video and how much love its gotten. Ive been saying this since it released, this is CRIMINALLY underrated and such a shame we’ll never get a proper sequel 🤧
This movie made me appreciate how beautiful Human Flight is from your Point of View.
Fun fact: Andrew was an actor in the amazing spider-man 2, his character was kinda psychotic.
I bet these guys will be in season 4 of stranger things
“ *lost powers* “, that’s what it should be called
Dawg Stranger Things stole the shit outta this movie
Stranger things was great
its a really well made movie, when we see the security footage from the gas station we can see the Andrews camera still floating next to him, and again in the hospital when the dad is shaking him, the security camera shows the tri pod sliding closer simulating the zoom in shot from the camera's pov
