Hi James. Of all the RUclips cooking videos I watch, there are very few which I actually make, and even fewer that make it into my regular rotation of “family favourite” meals. This was one!! Thank you very much for this video and congrats on 1 million views 👍👍
Thanks for your take on Mongolian chicken! I especially appreciate the great sound and video quality! Keep up the good work!
Hey James, after months of watching your videos, i decided to run to the local asian market and grab some of the more unique ingredients. Started cooking these recipes and man are they amazing!!!
Thanks James, you made it easy and fun to cook Mongolian Chicken. I am going to try it tonight.
James It is delicious. My husband and i just cleaned up the plate. i follow recipe exactly but just double the amount of everything and nothing left. We normally have left over every time but not this time. So thank you so much for the video. i will try other dishes of yours soon.
im one of your subscribers , Most of your dishes are easy to follow , stress free and yummy!!Looking forward your next recipe!!!
Was looking for a Mongolian recipe in honor of a Mongolian guest to our home. This looks perfect. Can't wait to try it

I need to take my Wok out for a walk, it has been a while since I had it out! Great Look'in Meal!
Oh wow that dish looks sensational James. We call them green onions here. I love this. Now I'm hungry. Yum
Mr.James...Non spicy chicken is my weakness.I noted the way you cooked n will try today. Mouth watering....ha ha ha ha. Thanks
Mmm that looks really good, will have to try it sometime. I really need to make more Chinese food at home, any place I go to usually gives me a migraine the next day :(
Excellent. I didn't have a jalapeno so I put in a little crushed red pepper. Came out great.
Great! Thanks so much for replying. It sucks living in a small town. I use to live in a big city where I had access to anything I needed and because of that I did a lot of gourmet cooking, now not so much. 😩 thanks again! Dee
look really tasty, must try
Please post the recipe it looks so delicious I would like to try it thank you so much I really appreciate your recipe God bless
I made it!!! So simple ..the taste? Nyam ooh !!! Thanks sir !
Very nice depth of flavor with the sauce. I so need one of those woks and love that you cooked the scallions in batches =)
I will recommend carbon steel over cast iron. They aren't as fragile as cast iron but are almost as fun to cook with. Don't bother with stainless, nonstick, or aluminum, as they are all junk when exposed to extremely high heat.
Your video camera editing skills and microphone are nice. You have come a long way since your early stuff. I'll have to try this with chicken. I've only done it with beef.
Love all your recipes. It's really yummy and easy to follow thank you so much
How did you learn how to cook like this!? Amazing... :)
Just finished eating it. Used leeks in place of onions, and sadly, no chilli pepper, asthe memsahib likes neither,,,surprising since she lived in New Orleans for several years. It nevertheless turned out well and she gave it the thumbs up. Thank you for presenting it. Regards from sunny Spain.
It's nice dish. Hope I can make it one day
upgraded video! the dish looks more delicious. nice to see.
Nice looking dish James. I'm with you on using the Thighs, more flavor for sure. Up here in the Northeast Scallion is the more prevalent name.
I made the same dish but I added mushrooms and I cut my scallions a little bit smaller and at an angle. ... But your plate also look nice.
You're an awesome cook, thanks for making videos that are easy to follow! Where can I buy a wok like that?
Damn bro this is a bad ass recipe, i love the jalapeño mix u can never go wrong with that, i cant wait to try it on my blackstone griddle, keep on cookin'
I love it! Thanks very much for sharing!
my mouth so watery watching this thing
Awesome dish!!! I can't wait to give it a try!!! BTW...What you call noise, is more like music to my ears!! Spanish people make a lot of that going on in the kitchen and we dance to it while cooking too!! =)

...beautifully done!
James, your making me want to cook at midnight again here in Ireland Dude ;) The 'green onions' are called 'shallots/spring onions' over here. Any chance you could try cooking up one of my fav Thai stir fries ? It's called Pad Siew Moo. Nice video, I'm going to try this one as well !
***** No need to say sorry James, you cooking up some great food ! Thanks for posting this one ;)

James my friend...you said you were reserving the sesame oil for the sauce but you didn't show the making the sauce bit! What's in the secret sauce?
Imma have to try and hide chicken thighs more on things like this. Excellent meal James!

Thank you!
Awesome knife brother!!!

6:05 we call them pijpajuin (pipe onion) or bos-ui (bunch onion) in Flemish. The Dutch somtimes use lente-ui (spring onion), which is a term which is also used in English, I believe.
***** just plain old green onions in cajun country.
Hi, where did you get that wok support ring. I like to get one like that, Thanks great recipe.
subbing! this looks absolutely delicious!
From egypt welcome
Very perfect foods
wow! Every cook, using their own recipe, says. "mmm delicious". Who ever would hav thought?
I love ur menu
Hi James,
thanks for this nice recipe, i would like to find out if the brown sugar mostly used in Chinese dishes could be replaced with white normal sugar?
Kelvin Oasis Hi! Yes you may use normal what sugar. Why we Chinese (I am a Singaporean Chinese) use brown sugar is so that the dish comes out with a dash of char taste. Some would use rock sugar to help dishes go a little sticky.
seems easy and with readily available ingredients...
Thanks for the tutorial!
Hi, I live in a place where I don't have access to dark soy sauce or black vinegar, so can you tell me what I can substitute for those two items?
Thank you for this recipe
We call them 'Spring Onions' (New Zealand)
Traditionally we don't eat chicken nor stir fry but nice to see foreign dish carrying our country name ;)
+Belle Blanch The recipe is just a western recipe, it is not traditional Mongolian, Chinese or any Asian cuisine.
But like you said great to see westerners using Mongolia as a promotion tool for their recipes .
how do you guys do it then-if you don't mind my asking? what do you use? pork or shrimp?
Broiled Hibiscus Nomadic Mongolians eat boiled or dried beef, lamb, goat, horse or camel meat in the winter and dairy products in the summer time. Food preference of city dwellers is the same as in every other country, INTERNATIONAL.
i do recall now, when i was still in seattle, WA there was this 'mongolian' grill and one of the options for meat was lamb (aside from the shrimp, chicken and beef). we always order the lamb. it was American style food though-not really Mongolian like you say. Anyways, thanx for the reply (thumbs up).
Broiled Hibiscus good
I have to stop watching these when I know I won't be able to eat dinner for a few hours!
I like it when it stays moist also
love your videos!
Looks great. Use more oil during the stir.
love it.
Just subbed. Great videos, man.
hmm yummy t.q for sharing..
Hi James , when you were marinating the chicken did you use dark or light soy?
Thanks for the reply.
I made it yesterday and it was very tasty.
Thanks again.
***** will be trying more of your dishes in the near future.
Thanks.
nice easy recipe for after work dinner time, but gee what were you doing with your used dishes, dropping them on the floor lol

Good job! Thanks!
I'm starving watching you cooking.
wow i like it thank you sir
good work bro I'm hungry
nice blade, is it shun?
How do you keep the chicken from drying and getting hard?
How big of a deal would it be to hold the sugar?
What kind of cooking oil do you put in the pan?
Mmm! Looks delicious!
I guess it is kinda off topic but does anyone know of a good place to stream new series online ?
@Skylar Marcus flixportal xD
@Brentley Sawyer thanks, I went there and it seems like a nice service :D I really appreciate it!!
@Skylar Marcus glad I could help :D
I say green onions but sometimes I say scallions. Nice video. :)
i love that
Can I use dark brown sugar?
The funny thing is that I am mongolian and I have never heard of anything like that! xD The only chicken mongolians eat is probably at KFC... Still a really nice recipe though
scrolled through the comments! I get that you did not name this dish but it just makes people confused...
+Huska Kt Ha! Ha!
Well, we mostly eat lamb or cow meat. As for the chicken meat, it is just that chicken farms are not very common in Mongolia. Most of the chickens sold in mongolian supermarkets are imported from China (mainly)
So this isnt a mongolian recipe basically?? Hahaha
+1984logesh yeah 😂
Yummy!

James Strange
