Hi Mark, great to see a new video from you, I don't know if you will remember us but we bumped into you on the Track to Pieman Heads and the following day on Climies, met some of your tag along friends, hello to Jenna if she watches and reads the comments, your tour looked well organised and people seemed happy on their adventure with you, cheers 😀 👍

I really enjoy your honesty. It may be slightly embarrassing for you, but it’s important for people fitting out their vehicles. With the rope rails, cut them down and refit them only above the tapered boxes.

Cheers mate, I’m not embarrassed, I make wrong decisions all the time lol. Seriously I have no problem in saying what I would I do differently, maybe someone will get some benefit out of it. I ended up cutting the rope rails down as you said, but now have removed them altogether. The rear under tray boxes leaked badly so I replaced them with boxes that don’t need the rope rails.

    WOW!!!
It's hard to find people on the youtubes that will come right out & say things were THEIR Fault. Hat's off to ya. One person's screw ups & letting others know is a Great Learning experience us & better Advice for those that have questions.

Really appreciate the advice on the rock sliders @@TasmanianOffroadAdventures. Will be looking for some in due time & never thought about thickness. A little more weight looks like it will pay off even if & when for that ONE time.

    Gday there,
I have the same ranger and was wondering what you found how about the faulty(?) diff locker button. I know I have one and would be curious if its only a for show thing or not.
    Cheers

Hey mate. I was driving a gnarly section of Climies Track where the diff lock was needed, but it wasn’t coming on. I took it to an auto electrician to make sure there was power to it. There was so he suggested taking it to the Ford dealer. They looked at it and said it was covered under warranty even though the vehicle wasn’t.
