    This one took several buttloads to make, but I'm really satisfied with the result.
    Hope you enjoy!

    the noise channel behaves differently on the game boy compared to the NES, and the channel often designated as bass with game boy music is a wave channel as opposed to a triangle channel. if you want to emulate the sound that the wave channel makes in NES format, the FDS channel is recommended. the fds channel can pretty much recreate the sounds of the wave channel, but it also has more versatility, so it's easy to make it sound inauthentic if you aren't careful.

    Ah the memories... Listening to the credits song was always a real joy every time after trouncing the elete 4. Now if only it were still easy to do so in heartgold. XP

    I was thinking how to make make it even more epic and I came quick to an answer. How about to create a final boss soundtrack out of this?
    RomancingSaga 3 has done a similiar job, by remixing the Title Screen music and the result was so badass, you could actually feel the end of the world.

    That is one of the most epic NES or better authentic 8-bit soundtracks I have ever heard. You must be truly a genius alongside Kevin and Bails8bit.
    Congratulation!^^

    It brings up so much feels.
    Darn, i "wasted" my whole childhood with Pokemon: Crystal!
    But i'm not regretting anything.
    Thank you so much for this awesome remix!

    This is just stunning! Is there any chance I will be able to get my hands on these instruments to analyze how they are made? I've been working in both famitracker and Ableton Live attempting to create this kind of whine that the pokemon game audio had.

    • @reshiram202
      @reshiram202 8 лет назад

      its 8 bit music, what whine are you referring too?

    • @TheSuperman979
      @TheSuperman979 8 лет назад

      I am aware that this is 8-bit. The program being used here is Famitracker, and there are instruments within this program used to recreate the sounds. The whine I am referring to is the higher pitched tones that oscillate coming from "Square 1" around the first 30 seconds, for example.

    so, is there anything special to do when composing a track in famitracker, aside from not using the dpcm channel, to make something sound authentically 'gameboy' vs 'NES'?
