I clicked on this video basically just to see if this cover got that right...I was more than pleasantly surprised! This is even better than the original with the extra channels from the expansion chip and stuff
Jonel_Pro No. The Triangle wave is mainly the tom-toms. If you’ve watched the Oscilloscope version of this video you’d see the DPCM channel taking care of the bass
Eric Buzard but this is what i call fake reverb which uses two channels of the same type and changes one of the channels volume just a bit lower than the other channel to create a reverb effect
This version blows the original version away. Now to be honest , i was always imagining each nes game ever made in each other’s perspective. So imagine nintendo’s supermariobros with sunsoft graphics & audio etc… perspective and vice versa. Who knows how much it looked and sounded differently, all on the same console. Sadly only the famicom has ext sound support.
this is one of those songs you listen to in the background while you do stuff and you get so lost in it that when its over, you dont notice for like 10 whole minuets. this is that good, especially remixed like this imo
The ducktales is considered by many the best piece of music ever composed for the NES. Sunsoft were the litteral masters of the NES hardware, especially its soundchip. Put those together and you get this! It's truly amazing, to say the least...!
For those who have trouble opening the ftm file, you need to google the Famitracker 0.5.0 Beta or 0CC-FamiTracker. I didn't know that I need this until I done some searching myself.
Hey, VinylCheese, may you be so kind as to make the Airwolf theme using a Sunsoft 2A03 chip soundset, please? The drums from Area 2 of Blaster Master would be perfect for the drums for that song. Thank you for responding to my comment.
+vicente-zerox Sunsoft wasn't the only developer to use DPCM (differential pulse-code modulation) for basslines, but they were the only company to use it with any sort of frequency. Codemasters used it in Bee 52 and Quattro Sports Pro Tenis, and Tecmo used it in Fire 'n Ice. DPCM bass samples used a relatively large amount of ROM space, which was expensive, and a hardware defect in the NES made reading from the controller while playing samples more complicated than it should have been, so the DPCM channel was usually only used for drums, if at all.
There was also a Novotrade who used these samples in one game: King's Quest V. Speaking of controller: To my knowledge the first Castlevania game, where you get hit you can hear a DPCM sample, and because they had no idea, how to run controller and sample code at the same time, they eliminated all controller reads while that sample was being run down. This is the short story why the infamous knock back hit was made.
I can't open the file. The ftm file is broken. Famitracker tells me to open the file in the latest version but I already have the latest version of Famitracker
This is really good! Honestly tho you should use famistudio instead of famitracker. it's much easier to use and has a lot of expansion chip support. I thought it was better than famitracker :)
Excellent. Very, VERY few covers get right that 15/8 time signature from the beginning. You've got a subscriber.
Thanks!

+Polymetric Manectric Thanks!
Titan of Plasma whats 15/8 ?
just look up how time signatures work
That freaking Sunsoft DPCM bass sample is the best, and it sounds fantastic in this.
How do you get that anyways?
Jonel_Pro No. The Triangle wave is mainly the tom-toms. If you’ve watched the Oscilloscope version of this video you’d see the DPCM channel taking care of the bass
@@LunaOfTheStarsMusic I have it for famitracker. but, IDK how i got this... I think everyone will agree this😂
@@LunaOfTheStarsMusici *think* i got it from the sunsoft bass sample explanation video. You'll find it on RUclips, not really an obscure video
I love smooth chiptune as well as reverb in chiptune because it starts to sound less like a limitation and more like a style.
Woah, this is so impressive! Everything sounds so smooth, and I love the reverb.
no reverb, second channel probably repeating the lead.
Eric Buzard but this is what i call fake reverb which uses two channels of the same type and changes one of the channels volume just a bit lower than the other channel to create a reverb effect
Same
this would be silent considering in spac there is no audio or sound. but thats just mah opinion

On technicality, the NES does have external sound support. Its in the parallel port on the bottom of the original model.
Sunsoft sound changes everything, i love this
This sounds like a version made to play during the final credits.
Imagine Gimmick having this as a bonus stage song
Or journey to silius, or any sunsift nes game
Nakamanga But only the Japanese version of Gimmick is compatible with the Sunsoft 5B expansion chip
Nakamanga hmmmm I’ve heard of Sunsoft but not Sunsift. Please describe
@@LunaOfTheStarsMusic Maybe typo?
@@LunaOfTheStarsMusic sunsift waz the kreator for suchh clazsics ass gemmec.

This gives me Serious Enemy Approaching/Stronger Monsters Vibes.
10 years probably ,still epic for me nice job mate
12 years

Jophser epic
holy crap, i've never noticed until now, but that transition with the drums at 1:00 is amazing
You blasted the original to bits

Dang dude you got that style down nice. Love that Sunsoft bass!
Its sounds so magical, it’s beautiful! 😭
Gosh why are famitracker covers always so good
Cuz it's a (mostly) very good tool
How did I only just NOW find out about this wonderful masterpiece? Amazingly well done! Absolutely crushed it!
"What if Sunsoft made Ducktales for the NES?"
Wow, this remixes shines a Sunsoft feeling. Cool work!
@@soundspark Double Sunsoft? Woah, I love this mix even more.

*W o n d e r f u l...*
*Just... Wonderful...*
I’m jealous of your abilities, this is incredible
You're super talented! I love what I've heard of your channel so far.
The original is ear grating, this cover however is a masterpiece
wdym the original was ear grating???
Subsoftvwill definitely blow capcom away on the nes in terms of music, this is just the definitive version to me.
It's beautiful.
Thankye
PAUSE BREAK it's u o.o
Woah that bass with the DPCM is amazing! You blow me away all the time.
Sunsoft bass is legendary for a reason!
This is an absolute masterpiece
Top notch 👌🏻You've got the vibrato and glissandi spot on- nice one!! 🐤
something about this song, and this cover in particular, just screams "video games are awesome!!"
I thought this was by Fearofdark for a second because of the music program you used.
Got some real chills by just hearing it :D Of all the remixes out there (alot) this is far the best one! good job
Nicely re-imagined - dig it, dude!
0:36 fucking godly
i can actually see this part being played by some intense violin
why only sunsoft make bass to the NES games? (is sunsoft only?)

Doesn’t Super Mario Bros 3 have DPCM samples?
Doodle Dangernoodle Very sure it does. Same with SMB2USA.
This. This is Sunsoft.
i adore your sunsoft styled remixes, they're awesome
WHY DONT YOU HAVE MORE SUBS/VIEWS WTF!?!?!?!?!!? D;
Probably the best one I've ever heard.
I gotta go, my people need me...
(flies away while music starts at 0:00 )
The bass here is fucking awesome 0:37

Use 0CC Famitracker. You can download it in the internet.
It Says The Latest But Its Really An Older Version

Smooth as butter
I got goosebumps from this song😍
Hands down, best cover i've ever heard of this song. 10/10.
Can you marry a song?
That‘s great
WOW this is so good!!!!! Like Scrooge McDuck in Blaster Master
The best one out there
Holy shit, this is good. Holy fuck. Oh man.
Not bad, this sound like it would come out of a mega man game, since the original game was made by Capcom.
I listened to this while drawing Scrooge McDuck. Thank ye
This is really good! Honestly tho you should use famistudio instead of famitracker. it's much easier to use and has a lot of expansion chip support. I thought it was better than famitracker :)
Mr. Gimmick goes to space. Great job!
*_All their bases are belong to you!_*
man, I love that ever so slightly out of tune square wave
Good lord. Keep it comin'!
Damn, son! I like this!
0.0 this just sounds so magical
Gorgeous! Thanks youtube algorithm for this...
excellent cover my dude
sunsoft basses are always awesome
I like how your old videos sound as good as recent ones
Loooove this game
Truly epic remix
awesome! Greetings from Brazil
SO UNDERRATED!! :D
A cover of the African Mines stage would be amazing (from DuckTales as well)
When I die, I want this song to be played on my funeral
Oh man, this sounds so amazing...
Love that reverb
SOOOO BEAUTIFUL 😢😍
Journey to the Moon
So awesome!!! 😀
SLAPS
you actually made it better
Cool of Disney to make this song cannon.
Holy shit this sounds so fucking nice.
WOW
If only more games on the NES used SUNSOFT's style...
This makes me want to finish watching Season 3 for the reboot.
lucky! I don’t have season three out yet in disney+ in my area!
En el formato MIDI el bajo de Sunsoft es "Rock Organ"
I just noticed this, but "www.Bandicam.com"
I still like it :]
i love this
Look to the stars, my darling baby boys
Exelent ! nice tune
It might just be that I have to run it on Wine (I have Linux), but this song completely overloads my audio buffer, even at max.
To clarify, this is on Famitracker that it overloads the buffer.
It happens; increasing the buffer size helps.
If mega man wants a soundtrack for one level this soundtrack is perfect
This sounds great. The original track is too high pitched for my taste. Love the rendition!
It also hurts my ears a bit
Excellent cover, a lot of people covering the song tend to set the audio to too high a pitch, making it annoying to listen to for prolonged periods.
Hearing this after watching season 1 :)
Sunsoft had a godchip. An audio godchip.
DAT. ARP.
OH GOOOOOOOOOOOD
2019 and i fukin love this
DUDE THIS SHOULD GET LIKE 800k LIKES THIS IS SO GOOD
edit: 800 milion
I feel like I've heard this before but don't know where
