Just found your channel and subscribed. I'm a new trapper but found one small area that I set for coon last year and only caught skunks....LOL! Looking forward to this year! Hope you'll do a skinning, fleshing, and extraction video soon as well.

I appreciate you subscribing. Here in November when I'm trapping skunks I'll try to do an extraction and skinning right on the tailgate video. Real money to make!

@@nonametrapper4life being that I only have my basement to skin my catches I need to figure a set up to skin skunks while I'm still out on the line (at the truck).

We have skunks in our neighborhood. The same one would squeeze under the gate, get into the backyard. At first I said let them live, I don’t like killing animals. But then the guy sprayed our dog 3 times and it was time. I bought a humain trap at Harbor Freight and the 2nd night caught him. I took a .22 and dispatched the sucker. In California there are these bleeding hearts that would relocate them on someone’s land, but nobody wants them around. The animal rescue SPCA, won’t take them as well.
I checked and these critters are in no way endangered. So keep up the good work.

Thank you buddy. That's right there are so many and so few of us to help keep the numbers down. You have the right mindset. Putting a problem on someone else is not the answer. If you ever have any questions. Don't hesitate to ask 👍

Do bud! Clean glass jar and a couple syringes. There are 2 sacs around the anal area. One on each side. I think extraction before skinning is easier.

I use 155s for skunks every once in a while I’ll get one that’s that still got a little life left but most are dead when I get there. 155s are the biggest conibear traps we can set on dry ground in Missouri lol

Well I actually do relocation in situations like that. But do lethal work regularly in other situations to keep populations down and prevent disease spread. But maybe I'm not your cup of tea and that's fine.
