it’s just their creative team. if they had someone else behind them they could be amazing. especially with all their unique talents that they could contribute to their own success. also idk why those individual member reveal videos looked so cool and had such heavy lore because it ended up meaning nothing to the debut. i wish their debut was even half of what those teasers seemed to be building up to. but ofc there’s always time for something better! rooting for them and wishing them the best
See the Bailey Sok thing never made sense to me. I knew about her from watching multiple dancers like Matt Steffanina, Ian Eastwood, Sean Lew and Kaycee Rice growing up. She’s already successful. I do think without a doubt that she would’ve been the best dancer in 5th gen but I never saw her making the move to kpop as an actual idol.
Yeah is this a somekinda of marketing strategy or something because their tears hyped us up and then debut disappointed. And maybe next song meetup our expectations like BM.
Teddy is the problem. Here’s the other MAJOR problem and I’m so glad you touched on this. I’m a DIEHARD ONCE and I have been since debut but I’m also JYP NATION to the fullest and so too are the vast majority of my fellow ONCES. We support all our sister groups and brother groups. JYP NATION is a FAMILY and so too are our different fandoms. We promote each other’s groups during debut and / or comeback. We stream each other’s group’s MVs. We vote for the other groups as long as they’re not pitted against ours (Just keeping it real) . YG and Black Label fandoms need to be united for the love of K-POP. Enjoy the short amount of time your Idols / groups are active and help make their time as idols truly enjoyable instead of drama filled and miserable.
YG entertainment has already learnt thier lesson with the fact that they released Forever, Everyone was surprised and was for once it was'nt compared to BlackPink,
I don't think the problem is in the concept but in the music quality itself. I don't mind girl crush concept because I am a Blink and I also like Everglow and Baby monster. The problem to me was the song Meow which was a disaster. It was just bad. The concept is one thing that can be surrounded by so many themes but the final result is the most important
Although the song wasn't as good as i expected i think they are really good dancers , dance break looks great on reels and about BabyMonster and meovv fighting each i do think it's so unnecessary, just curious is there any two fandoms who are like friends in kpop?
YG and Blacklabel only have one at most two groups in them. So they simply have given all they’ve got. There is nothing left in the tank. Big Bang was mainly G Dragon. Blackpink was a redraft of 2ne1. Treasure has been forced to be Big Bang 2.0 from the start. They are kpop in its 2ng gen essence: Print money. Stir drama. Focus on visual. Dont worry about music. From the emphasis of copy paste repeat factory assembly line style, to stirring fan wars for drama to keep the groups relevant without having to be creative at all. Big yawn.
I dunno if anything the fan beefing helps both groups - it strengthens fans loyalty via diversity and this feeling of artificial competition. Honestly YG are masters at media play like this - look how they teased having a chaebol and Bailey Sok in the lineup, and now there's supposedly beef between the groups, and even Black Pink is getting pulled in. YG you sneaky lil jerks I SEE you. Jennie and V never dated!!
As far as I know YG always does the same thing with their Girlgroups: 2ne1, Blackpink, Baby Monster & now Meovv have kinda the same concept & sound. But at least until now YG gave every group their own time. I thought from the start, that this would be a mess. Let's see what is gonna happen, when you have practically 3 groups active at the same time, with the same sound.
Even if meovv feels more blackpink or the pink have supported them more because of Ella, it's useless. Bp are the little sisters of 2en1 and they had basically no interaction, so why are people surprised if bp has little to no interaction with baemon? Baemon has proven to be talented as heck, so let's wait for meovv to do the same. I will never understand hating a group, but especially a group with one song? Like they don't even have an identity yet😂

Now, YG is just a minority stockholder and has no control of TBL’s music direction and corporate policies. TBL in fact moved out of the YG building. Teddy wanted to assert his independence. Not too long ago, TBL stans hated and denied the association with YG and assert MEOVV as the real sisters of BP, not BM as if BP’s success was solely on Teddy. YG give Teddy his big break in Kpop. YG’s success is his, with the help of many other artists and music producers.
