I have RA, osteoarthritis, Hashimoto’s and fibromyalgia. It’s been a rough week.I have a couple days a month I can get stuff done. I’m hoping those days are coming soon.
Mine does the dishes at night and does counters and table every night. Sunday's he vacuums and mops every week. He also is always flipping the laundry for me from washer to dryer. Still leaves me tons but it's a huge help. He works full time too but covid has him home working... He makes the kids lunch often as well bc we homeschool our 3rd grade twins. I have fibro/cfs/mast cell and still testing. 45 yrs old.
Every day I try so hard to just focus on what I can get done but some days I can’t get up. When I make it past the, “Tidying up” stage I feel like celebrating and even though its so small in comparison to what I used to be able to do being hard on myself makes it so that even less gets accomplished. I used to be a perfectionist but now if I roughly do anything close to my goal I am more than glad and grateful lol
I really need to do an updated version of this video. I made this so long ago and have more tips and tricks for you! Coming soon! Keep fighting my friend! You are amazing for everything you do!
@@cmcn1434 I can so relate to this. I used to clean my house from top to bottom every Saturday and spend all morning. I've had to shift my expectations for myself so that I'm not feeling discouraged. I will set a goal for myself for each day on my days off. " Today I"ll mop the floor and do some laundry", and that's all I expect. If I feel up to doing more then I will, but I will give myself grace if I don't. I"ve also had to be better about asking for help and delegating. Once in awhile, my goal is to only rest and make sure we are all fed.

Brand new dishwasher where I just was, and if they are not SCRUBBED they still ha e cral on them. And I mean BRAND NEW. Like digital, flat buttons, etc.
Hi!! I love this video! I hope this comes off the right way; I don’t wanna sound like some sort of tech bro -- from my TV, the music in between the talking is a lot louder than you speaking! It might of course be an issue of my tv but it doesn’t happen as much with other videos. So if that’s unintentional then now u know! -- but of course if you did it on purpose then that’s your artistic choice and that’s great too!
With Lyme ect its a war every single day to not only manage a routine that is realistic but to find the will to follow through without getting discouraged by what I cannot do. Thank you so much for this! Its nice to feel less alone 💓
I am so sorry you are going through that! I need to do an updated version of this video. This was a few years ago and I have tons of new tricks and tips for you! Coming soon :)
I have ra, lupus, fibro and ibs and leaky leg syndrome! Plus moyamoya a rare brain disease. I have such a hard time just doing the minimal each day and seeing you with these illnesses and with a routine is such a great idea! Focus on one thing on each day! I can do that lol
Your little helper does such a good job! 💖 I like how you divide the cleaning up over the week! You do so much! Im lucky if I get laundry washed and put away in the same week😂
Laundry is the WORST!!! Thats why i do it once a week because i only have to think about it one day. I used to be bad at folding it but now i just force myself to get it done and it feels so much better!
@@Aimee_Esther I use to force myself to put laundry away but lately I have really not felt great so it sits getting all wrinkly ...😋 Thank you so much! It's definitely hard to feel amazing when I don't feel good.
A school teacher friend with 4 chikdren gave me this idea, Sunday after church she outs on a movie &folds all the clothes & puts them away, then she naps orwhat ever, she healthy,no chronic illness, lucky her.😊
What if your minimum baseline would not be enough to keep the area clean? There is no way I could do anywhere near what you are doing. I cannot afford to hire anyone. I do not have friends or family to help. My house looks like a hoarder house.
Oh my minimum isnt enough at all. Its just helps you to do something each day. This video is not sharing my daily minimum. I probably wasnt clear on that. Mine was just wiping down the counters and clearing the living room floor once a day...thats it! (Recently i added doing dishes in my minimum but it took me time to work up to) I explain in much more detail in my productivity course at www.aimeeesther.com My biggest tip for you is to declutter your house first. Live as minimally as possible and its 9000 times easier to keep clean because therr is less stuff. New youtube videos coming out soon about being minimal and organized to clean faster!!
You are not alone! My brother tells me he wants to call the producers of hoarders on me. I am a single working mom and do not have a nice home. I also have to drive an hour every week to do my laundry and then have bags full of laundry to put away late at night, which does not get done. Plus accumulated things from nearly years since my first kid was born. And before I was medicated for sleep apnea and ADHD I could not even get out of bed usually. Now there is no time. So much driving and working and even more chronic illness. I feel it is mostly in my head honestly, emotional blocks. But it is tough, being so tired, so scattered and unfocused. And so overwhelmed. Financial strain, health strain, work strain, kid strain. But always, have to keep trying...Even if it lasts for decades, it can't last forever where there is determination. But we can't compare ourselves to ither people. It won't do any good. Only use others who are more organized for inspiration, but never a comparison. We just can not do that to ourselves.
You seem to have a great plan of action to keep moving and get things accomplished. I try to do the same, since I seem to have a max of about 4 hours to get things done without taking away from what I can get done tomorrow. Like when making dinner, I'll use about an hour or so to cook the meat, prepare any other ingredients for later, like vegetables, clean up the kitchen, and then take a rest for a few hours. I can usually get some computer based things done in this time though. Then I'll get back up and actually assemble, bake, & serve dinner, again cleaning the kitchen up. Sometimes that's my whole day though. It's frustrating cause I used to run around for 12-14 hours every day and now I just can't do that! Great video! Keep 'em coming! 🤗
Ugh. Yes. I know that feeling. I am a get it done kind of person. In college i worked 4 jobs and did 20 credits online. Now going to the grocery store wipes me out😭 we are in this together!!! We got this!!!
Wow I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia at around 19 and I'm 33,I feel like the older I'm getting that I get even more tired quicker.Does exercising help you at all for energy!
@@nakiamcdonald3058 - Not sure who your asking, but for me, yes & no. If I've not done much for a day or 2, I can go sometimes 6 or 7 hours in a day. But then I pay for not pacing myself. It's really hard to get going again the next day. When I feel good, I can easily over-do-it. The longer I sit, the better I feel so it's a constant battle to not be lazy and just sort of sit around. With that said, I do think I feel better in the past few weeks than I did before that so it would seem that steadily working towards moving more is helpful. Some of my doctors think I have POTS but some do not, so I am still "undiagnosed". But I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome. I tend to not believe this, but it does explain being so easily tired out. 🤷 I just don't like it I suppose. Sounds like a silly diagnosis. (I too am 33). I have noticed that my dizzy & pre-syncope episodes are triggered by bending down / kneeling down or getting down on the floor and back up repeatedly so I try hard not to do that but daily life is hard to never do that. If it's been a while without an episode, I get this idea in my head "I'm suddenly all better now!" and try to run around like I used to, only to discover that I'm not miraculously cured. It's still there, but apparently I've been managing it better in the last few weeks & months.
Currently un medicated, and even when trying the minimum baseline I'm still flaring up and feeling terrible after sometimes. Even that can hurt too much (also dealing with RA and POTS). Do you have cleaning methods for when flaring or in pain?
I rest A LOT! I have been there where I can't get out of bed too, when I am constantly working on my health I can feel good enough to get the daily cleaning done but it's not easy at all. It is hard but I get so anxious when my house isn't clean and need it for my mental health, so i find a way to get it done :)
When I can’t get out of bed I make sure that the things that refill my cup and make me happy are the first on my list when I can get up (then pressing matters when I am emotionally well enough) For instance my indoor plants bring me a lot of joy so I always water them as soon as I am able and its kind of become a marker for when I can allow myself to do more without pushing myself too hard and straining myself more. Making lists always cheers me up but its the not dwelling on what doesn’t get done on that list that is key. Even if I lose a houseplant I know I’m doing my best and thankfully I have learned to always take cuttings from my plants in case I am down for a while and they die so that I can replant another one from its stems. Persistence is key even though its tough with brain fog lol be well 💓
