This song is very emotional for me. Every time I hear it, I picture the scene below: The first buildup at 0:45 sounds like you’re reminiscing old, nice memories. Then at 1:18, you’re crying tears of happiness at the good old times. Next at 1:47, you enter a phase of depression in your life because reality suddenly hits you and then your next 60 years of life goes by before you can even blink twice. Next, at 2:22 your depression hits its peak and you are barely holding on to your life. At 2:52 you even consider doing the unthinkable. Then, at 3:23, it all comes crashing down. You realize your life is almost over and you start reminiscing again over those same, old memories that aren’t quite as easy to remember now. Then, at 3:30, something jogs your memory and you start to remember those old memories and you realize you still have some time left to live your life and do the things you want to do, but it’s running out soon. At 3:44 you now completely remember that moment. That memory. Oh, it was so perfect. And then at 4:00 the nostalgia gets stronger and stronger until the point where its unbearable and you just HAVE to experience that same spark of joy you once did in that cherished memory of yours or you will never die happy, and then at 4:37 you’re just experiencing that old joy for the last time before you die.
