    Excellent job at all the detail i just ordered my Racing Bros’s lowering kit but I didn’t order the adjustable part plan on doing the install this weekend i have already done the Chimera 3’ lowering link and i got the Ohlins rear shock ordered just because the spring is yellow and my bike is yellow I wasn’t able to find Ohlins lowering kit that i used to see so i just went with the Racing Bro’s. Do you think it’s necessary to get the adjustable part?

    Do you have any videos of the racingbros adjustable front fork inserts?

    How many of the travel spacer did you end up using? I only used one and the headlight assembly for sure is going to hit the front fender. You’re fender looks slightly lower then Munro got 1 1/4” inch gap. Youres look like 2”+?

    Do I understand this correctly, do you have to take out parts of the original forks to use them in the racing bros kit for it to work?

    20:00 if anyone happens to want to torque your fork bottoms, put the black part in a vise and use a deep 14mm hex bit and a torque wrench. It will be normal direction now, since you are spinning the damper and not the fork bottom. 👍

    Bikes looking go but how is lowering the bike helping it?

      Just for looks, not for performance.

    Hey! Why won't you just raise the forks the ammount you want to lower the bike instead of spending so much time and money for the same result? Just for the looks or am I missing something?

    • @eastcoastish
      @eastcoastish  Год назад +1

      The stock forks are tapered so you can't just raise them in the triple tree like you can some motorcycles.

    Have you noticed any benefits to lowering? Just looks? Did you lower the rear of the bike?

    • @BaconWhisky

      2:56 Yes, he installed a rear lowering link, it changes the angle of the shock, which lowers the rear of the bike

    im switching to this kit from the 2” kit. does it bottom out on every bump with 2 travel spacers? my composimo kit bottoms out on everything

    • @eastcoastish
      @eastcoastish  Год назад

      I can force it to bottom out but I haven't had it bottom out on it's own yet, although I'm not running this bike off jumps or big pot holes :) I'm also running the RB valving and having compression and rebound maxed out - you could also run heavier springs if you're having bottoming out issues...

    I got those installed for street use snd the racing bros is garbage and messed up my carbon fenders... the lowering link I installed also and it’s garbage as well cuz I kept bottoming out... use the racing bros just for the track and not for regular street use...if anyone wants to buy my barely used 5miles only racing bros front fork hit me up.

    • @eastcoastish
      @eastcoastish  Год назад

      Did you install the spacers so that it wouldn’t bottom out against the fender? These are definitely for show and not performance, I wouldn’t run a lowered bike on the track…

    • @civic2323
      @civic2323 Год назад

      @@eastcoastish yes the spacers were installed and bottomed out and the ride quality was rough. My carbon fenders were scrapped up these weren’t street acceptable

    • @eastcoastish
      @eastcoastish  Год назад

      @@civic2323 hmm, the internals are all the same as the stock shocks though (or in my case the RB valving) - mine run the exact same as the normal setup just with less travel…
