I was 20 riding 1100 miles on motorcycle to VA Beach VA to report for duty(Navy). Pulled in to cafe sat down at my table tired and that song starts to play...I'm 64 now, I'll never forget that day.. that song etched in my memory.
61 and love those kind of humble, quiet memories that define big parts of our souls. In the eighties when Bob really started to get big I was not a fan but as time has gone by his songs mean a lot to me.
The year was '97, I was roll'n east bound on I-80, on a Sacramento to Rockford NY run. Roll'n through Omaha at 2am, I pushed in the cassette tape and turned up the volume. Thank you, truckers!
My late dad was a huge bob seger fan. He had a 1989 Chevy 1500 that I would ride in when I was a kid and I will never forget the last time me and my dad jammed out to this song. It was exactly on August 24th of 2006. I was 6 years old and me and him were going to our camper for the weekend (keep in mind he had lung cancer at the time) and he knew he didn’t have much longer to spend time with me so he got his Bob Seger Cassette tape out and put it in and put this song on. Me and him sang through the entire thing and when it ended he pulled over because he was so emotional. We hugged and he said “when I leave this earth, play this song whenever you’re sad about me and I’ll be there singing along with you.” It’s been 15 years since he passed and I still play this song and sing to it every once in a while. Miss you dad Update: thank you for the support. If you guys are wondering…. Yes I have the truck now that I take to shows. I working on getting it back on the road as it’s been sitting for a few years and I hope to drive it back to where me and him camped for the first time in over 15 years. And yes I still have the Bob Seger cassette tape but I’m going to switch out the radio so it has a CD player. Edit: thank you everyone for the support. For everyone asking why I’m putting in a cassette player is because the player broke a few years ago when I revived the truck. A cd player is a whole lot cheaper and more convenient for me. Don’t worry I’m still keeping the cassette tape in the truck where my dad left it 😉. Besides the truck is far from original so I’m not worried about changing things up on it. And another thing for those people wondering, yes the truck is officially back on the road where it belongs with plates for the first time since 2008. It really fought me hard because it has a supercharger and everything was chewed and everything else, it was one thing after another for about a year and a half. It still needs work but it’s now roadworthy and just took on its first long trip last month and it did amazing with no problems whatsoever. When it’s out of storage I’ll try and post a video on the truck next year.
I have seen him in concert many, many times and I will never get tired of his amazing song writing and distinct voice. I am 72 and shall never grow tired of Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band!!!

Be serious about this❤ God is holy and righteous God is love So either you would play around because you don't believe hell exist or you don't believe you're going there but the bible makes it very clear The path to destruction is wide and easy many are on it the path to eternal life is hard and nerrow very few find it and to get into heaven u can only enter through the nerrow gate❤ You dont have to wait until you die to know if youre going to heaven you can know right now 100% where youre going❤ Satan doesnt rule hell this is a myth when lucifer known as satan now became prideful and rebelled against God he took many angels with him Demons are fallen angels we live in a spirital and physical world so hell was made for punishment for satan and his angels and the reason why people go there is because they Align themsleves with the devil in SIN! Sin separates us from God and the wages of sin is death if youre found guilty with one sin on judgment day you will not enter the kingdom of heaven so the thing is We us humans broken Gods law and jesus paid the fine! I have lived and worked in Ann Arbor most of my life and am so happy that the last concert I attended was Bob Seger in Las Vegas. Almost impossible to believe that he sang every song note-for-note and was so gracious to the audience. That's the way to end your concert life!
Thank U so much to your Papas Great Service of 40 years to our Country! Thats an awesome badge of Honor he Earned ! And yes this is so fitting for us Truckers ! Ty for ur post .
I listen to this to feel closer to the memory of my dad. One of his favs. One of mine. Unlike most of my favorites, I don’t listen to it often, because I don’t want it to become just another song in frequent rotation. It’s reserved for those days when I really need it. Truly timeless classic.
This is one of those songs which I listened to them my daughter did now her daughter does. Music that just passed down from one generation to another. My son plays drums and he does a great Bob Segars’ and kicking Phil Collins! Which is MY ALL TIME FAVORITE!!🙏🌷
Never really known of Bob Seger Till I met my father-in-law in 2013 he was a huge fan of him, since then I've listened to this song thousands of times and learned the lyrics over the years lol. My father in law is now in heaven and i will continue to play this one forever in remembrance of him, my father in law took my fiance to bob segar's last tour in 2019 here in Albuquerque NM. Rest in peace Jerry the memories will forever be with us❤😭
Don't be surprised ok, it's true I don't usually do this. But the pandemic has really tore everything apart leaving lots of people depressed and sad. That's why am pasting my personal email address here via: bobseger00125@gmail.com to enable you share your opinions about my songs or send personal message you wish to share with me. I can't still appreciate everyone of you enough for the unconditional love and massive supports ❤️ it's because of you am here today. I hope you won't stop listening and supporting my songs.
So sorry for your loss. I lost my father in 2009 to Lou Gerhrigs and we always listened to Jimmy buffet together on the construction site. I still cry when I listen to it but sometimes it you need to feel. Music is therapy and a gift from God.
This was my Dad's favorite song, I am a huge Metallica fan and we went back and forth with each other defending our favorite version. He passed in 2018 and it is still one of my favorite memories of him.
I Absolutely agree.......and yes I lived thru this time........yep I'm old... Its was so devastating to see the men who came home after the war in Vietnam. 😪 lots of them missing legs''and arms and also with a DRUG PROBLEM...🙄🤤😢
Seger has been a long-time fave. When my metal friends were knocking him I didn't care. He wrote songs that when he sang them you felt them to your soul. I love ROCK, I don't care what sub-genre you are looking at there are songs and bands in that genre I dig. But I used to dig at my metal-head friends that Metal was a collection of bad musicians trying hard to drown each other out to hide how bad they are. That's not true, or at least usually not true, but it was fun to get them riled up as much as they got me by kicking the music I preferred - the stuff where I could hear and understand and feel the lyrics and the instrumentals added to those emotions. During my 30s and 40s when my friends were retrograding back to the "classic rock" of our youth, I was still expanding my musical horizons and finding new bands that fed the emotions that were churning inside. There was a lot of great music back then, and there is a lot of great music coming out now if you give it a chance. Love this song so much though, I think Against the Wind is the only one of his I like more. But so many of his songs bring out the nostalgic memories of my youth when I used to hear them on the radio constantly.
As a black man growing up in the 70's in Vegas we only had one black radio station and it was on from 6am to 6pm and when that station went off air i had to listen to a station that played a mixture of R&B and Rock music so i learned to appreciate groups like America and other White groups. Thank goodness for growing up in that era of music!
70s and 80s color didnt matter ,was tons of great music being made as ,grew up listening to it all since have a basically adopted brother whos mixed ,and to this do we both postup old songs from every genre back then
Bob Seger, no one sings like this wonderful icon. I waited on this band in 1976 and I felt so privileged, they were all very respectful and courteous. I have loved them ever since!
This song reminds me of my entire life. Been listening to it since I would ride around with my dad and now, I ride around with my own kids and play it. It just makes sense in so many ways.
Sad to say, yesterday,Alto Reed died at age 72 of Cancer...R.I.P. Alto...a true Pioneer, was one of the 1st to fly above the crowd on a wire, while playing....play on Alto...Play On!
50 years later from it's original studio recording, 47 from the 'Live' Bullett recordings at Cobo Hall, Detroit 1975, Bob Seger's "Turn The Page" still remains one of the most iconic, and most infamous songs of the '70s and of the Rock-n-Roll era. That opening, as well as the closing. with that alto sax from Alto Reed continues to move me every time I hear it. For you guys, this song grabs you by the balls; for you gals it's like being intimately touched you know where.
Love Bob Seger! This song was my ex husband’s favorite,, he was a truck driver, he past away in June,, when I hear this it tugs at my heart a little ❤️🙏🏻
Thanks for the endless love and support you have constantly showed me. I'm forever grateful. I really appreciate your unconditional love towards me, where are you watching from.
Am I the only one that tears up to this? This song isn’t just about a rockstar. It’s about all of us that go out there trying to be the best we can and playing an act. I know I put on a happy face with my family and at work (literally in an airplane all the time flying for business) and people expect 100 percent. I feel like a dog and pony show. But by myself in a cheap hotel room I am a mess and so insecure. Therapy has helped and I’m getting better. I use this song to help me understand my journey. This song is fucking brilliant.
I feel you, brother. I'm always ont he toad doing construction. We travel the US and sometimes outside of it. I haven't been home in 9 months. Hell. Heading to a site now, been driving 13 hours. It's hard man
@@thelnepoet1 Thank you! I actually found a position that got me off the road. I’ve been spending more time with my family. This song and the song cats in the cradle honestly made me break down about six months ago. I cried like a baby. I couldn’t take it anymore. Much happier.
@@fenriswolf5962 this was my father. 75 hours a week and probably 500 mile commute every week in hard-core construction laboring. He died at 57 and never really got to see the fruits of his labor. There’s a lot more to life than humping it. Good health and family. That’s what life is about. Having a little extra money on the side doesn’t hurt either.
My little brother is an up and coming musician... Over the years, I thought it was a bit cliché (this song) and now I've watched my little brother LIVE it. I don't think the casual person like myself would ever understand it until it touches close to home. What a masterpiece 💚 I'd love to hear you play sometime!
There is only one man who could have stole my wife's heart and it is Bob Seger. She always listens to his songs. Makes her feel good about life in general. We both ask where the hell has the great music GONE. Today is a sorry excuse for what we are subject to. I listen to the 70's and some 60's. I cannot stand the music today. To many greats in the past to mention. So at night will working at home away from work I crank up the 60's and 70's and just go back in time to those wonderful years. I was blessed to have grown up in the 70's in High School. Damn what a rush in time.
ArrowJ Smith I played this song a few weeks ago in a school performance. Everyone gave me a look like what the hell is this music. They obviously don't know the legend himself Bob Seger.
how i really start to hate ppl who hate on todays music, dont get me wrng i love this song and 70s music in general, just try and listen to something good from today, not just radio and charts and youll find something as good as this...
ArrowJ Smith My sister's favorite band,I too grew up in the 70's ,and yes we were lucky, radio stations played 24/7 good stuff, sadly the "computer age as made anybody and everybody a "star"... this was our time, never to come again.
My dad passed away back in December of 2022. He absolutely LOVED Bob segar. I remember getting him a Bob segar CD and he played it to death until 95% of the songs on the cd wouldn't play without skipping. My brother sang this song at a karaoke night he went to in honor of our dad and could hear our dad's voice in his head singing it. . I miss you daddy. RIP 🙏
@@jerryparks6123Gotta agree with ya. The last time I checked, I'm not perfect either. I guess we can be thankful that we were raised to show respect and kindness. The best of luck to ya Jerry!!
This song perfectly describes the reality of being on the road for your music. My late hubby and I lived it for a spell. Our son now tours the US and Europe. Just dedicated the song to his band. I love full circle circumstances ❤
Lol you mfs know that I got to bring up a very talented humble man from Detroit who has recorded many hit songs, a rapper named Eminem. Has anyone ever heard of him 😆😜😘✌️❤️
Best transformation song ever, for anyone going thru CHANGE, this is for us, we, at times all by yourself , hitting that highway trying to put that awful past behind you, trying to be on top again , being strong to get it back together, to recover from your hurt, your pains, your losses, trying to hold onto the reins, there you go you've got to " Turn the page", hard to let go.... The roads traveled are behind you, but yet you have to hold steady to look what's coming ahead & to you...can't be afraid if the next opportunity that might just come your way... Remain hopeful, keep the FAITH, always be true to yourself & to others, keeping it real... Thanks Bob for giving those of us going thru change to have the courage to "Turn the Page"
Today "holding on"..... Going thru a rough moment . Trying not to look back but not trying to trip forward.. navigating alot...more than I can get to & take care of myself .."Welcoming a visit from the Holy Spirit" .. I don't want to welcome any more crappy moments from really mean spirited people.."BP"...baby girl... Thankful for the " Love" ......
Born in 1965 my uncle was a cross country truck driver I used to ride in his truck with him when I was 12 years old and he would always play this song and we would be way out of California I'm always going to love this song until God comes takes me home this is truly one badass song so whoever doesn't like this you don't know what you're missing you don't know 💯💞💞💞☠️☠️ missin
I’m two years older than you and I believe we experienced the best music ever made in those years and I was listening to most of the different genre of music but I favor country music but this is the best rock music ever made
Never before or ever again will there be a more perfect harmony of saxophone and rock. Add to that the timeless grit of the song and what you are left with is one of the finest rock ballads that will ever exist.
I'm here 10 years after my mother passed away.. she requested this song at her funeral hours before her passing. I miss her dearly and wish I could show her who I've become because of her.
"Turn The Page" On a long and lonesome highway, east of Omaha You can listen to the engine moanin' out its one-note song You can think about the woman, or the girl you knew the night before But your thoughts will soon be wandering the way they always do When you're riding sixteen hours and there's nothing much to do And you don't feel much like riding, you just wish the trip was through Say, here I am, on a road again There I am, up on the stage Here I go, playing the star again There I go, turn the page Well, you walk into a restaurant, strung-out from the road And you feel the eyes upon you as you're shaking off the cold You pretend it doesn't bother you but you just want to explode Most times you can't hear 'em talk, other times you can All the same old clichés: "Is that a woman or a man?" And you always seem outnumbered, you don't dare make a stand Here I am, on a road again There I am, up on the stage Here I go, playing the star again There I go, turn the page Out there in the spotlight you're a million miles away Every ounce of energy you try to give away As the sweat pours out your body like the music that you play Later in the evening as you lie awake in bed With the echoes from the amplifiers ringin' in your head You smoke the day's last cigarette, remembering what she said Ah Here I am, on a road again There I am, up on the stage Here I go, playing the star again There I go, turn the page Ah, here I am, on a road again There I am, up on the stage Here I go, playing the star again There I go, there I go
@@elibainbridge5174 : I appreciate the lyrics, too, but you can copy and paste them from a google search, so it's not taking a lot of time to "type them all" by hand.
3:20 The greatest thing about this song. Is ❤. I recently introduced Bob Seger to my 2O-Year-Old son . That's when I started listening to Bob Seger. ⭐🌈Well make a long story short. After hearing this song 🌟 he turned to me and said,,,,, Hey Mom. Why didn't you ever tell me about this awesome music?,,,, Then we just played it again and again. It was an incredible memory I will hold close to my heart umas we sat in his car and blasted this song. ❤. Bob, Segers music,,, Is still touching the 20-year-olds of this generation. BobSeger is just that.good,,,,, 4:014:28
I only could dream of seeing Bob Seger, and with Heart. Would have been amazing! Sadly, I was born 2 years later. Heard the shows in the 70s were legendary.
These songs were reflective of Men, working and taking care of their family and country. Unlike today where everyone wants instance gratification and the lyrics are about male and female genitalia that makes no sense in lyrics. How pathetic are singers of today?
First song i ever hear of him and he already touch my soul 😮 i’m a traveling musician so it hit hard . Just when i thought i had heard just about everything.
This song is tattooed on my heart with rest of his amazing songs! I listen to them every mile I drove my big truck going across the beautiful US of A back in the day’s!! I love you Bob Seager👊🏻
Growing up in Michigan in the 70's and 80's Bob was a standard by which every other musician was measured against. Detroit soul and honest rock n' roll, nothing better.
I used to listen to the 500 best rock songs every 4th of July as voted by the radio station listeners back in the 80’s and early 90’s and every year the top two songs was Stairway to Heaven number 1 and this song Number 2. The original version by Seger not the remake.
@@jorgerocha1184 I Drove Longhaul for Arrow Trucking out of Oklahoma and this was on my playlist with Golden Earring. You gotta have those songs that you pull out of the truck stop at 3a.m. and Haul A** to drop off your load on time.
My dad passed in January. This song was played at his memorial by a gentleman that my dad knew for years. Who had a band back in the day. My Papa loved this song. When I miss him I listen to this song
It is so nice to see young people rediscovering this era of music. Before it was about how good you could dance or what you looked like there were actual artists who actually poured their heart and soul into their music.
AaronAlso I am 27, and was blessed with a stepdad who raised me with the classics. the first song I knew word for word was Katmandu when I was 3 years old. I now have 5 kids of my own and am raising them to love the classics as well. They deserve to know music from when it was about talent and lyrics, not simply looks and labels.
I too hope the wars will end. I hope you will be able to visit America in the future too. I have been to Russia. Siberia is much like our Montana. Beautiful. You will love it.
My mom is OBSESSED with him and always has been haha. This song was the first song I ever learned the words to at like age 5 haha. Thats how much she listened to him every time we were in the car. I'm so happy I grew up listening to AC/DC, Bob, Whitesnake, Journey, REO. It's just all so good!!!
I never learned this until after my Dad died, but he loved this song. I think it's fairly good, but Mom can't even listen to the opening notes without crying because Dad loved it so much. Turns the station on the radio before I can even figure out what's playing. This song, and Willie Nelson's Poncho and Lefty, and Seven Spanish Angels. Tears every time, without exception. Dad used to say "go read a book", and I took that literally and found a book to read, which started my love of them. He meant to watch people, watch their faces and read them, people being the books he was talking about. I mostly didn't realize until after he was gone how wise he was . . .
Rian Haryu man this comment hits hard. 😢 reminds me of my parents when I was younger on a road trip to Alabama from Texas. Dad would play it so much and sing it. Good times.
ZebulunThe Impaler your mom had good taste :) - times are definitely tough. Thank you for your nice sentiment! BTW - I'm a female (my first name throws ppl off) ;)
Saw this band a few times, thier shows were so intimate, it's hard to explain. This music, like 95% of our music from the 70's, will never grow old or die. What great way to spend a Sunday evening.
This one I first heard in an apartment in Frankfurt, Germany in 1978, I think it was. The stereo system was all Pioneer, and we were burning some tripping green hash. We heated it and flaked it into a meerschaum pipe and toked it up. The song sounds like a short story come alive in audio. There's a drama to it that is almost Shakespearean, what with its stage imagery. We were on the traveling stage of our own lives, and the wail of the saxophone sounded like homesickness. Some men are foreigners wherever they go.
I have spent most of my life making my way all the way down the eastern seaboard in search of a better life for myself and although it's really been a rough trip, I have met thousands of great people along the way and I truly believe that this song explains my life along the way
I grew up listening to Bob Seger as a child, Most of my family were his biggest fans. every time I hear him on the radio I will crank the radio and drive right past my house until the song is over. My best memories as a child were of my Mom putting his albums on and we would all listen and sing together as loud as humanly possible. My inner child comes out whenever I hear him.
I remember being 16 yrs ago back in 76 and falling in love with bob seger after hearing THIS song. I bought every single album of his after that and was never disappointed I STILL love this song, it gives me goose bumps his voice is magical
The saxophone is everything in this song. Begins and ends with the same melody - the embodiment of the whole point Bob's trying to make..the song will always continue. He leaves us wondering if this is a good or bad thing.
I've had the pleasure of seeing him in concert 5 times. Way back to when he started out at Aquinas high school . Never got tired of this soulful beautiful song. Ty Bob Seger
l agree with you, indeed Bob sager is a great and talented artist who's songs never goes out of style, he's one of my favorites artist, he's songs still and always heals the Soul, I pray God gives you lot of beautiful days.

I seen him in Myrtle Beach s.c.and I have a picture of him dancing with me,I was thrilled to say the least, one of the best days of my life, love you Bob 💋
Heard Metallica's cover first and It's been one of my all time favorite songs by them for years. It wasn't until recently that I heard this version, And it's so freaking amazing! Of course a masterpiece cover has to come from a masterpiece original art...
Personally, I think Metallica missed the essence of this song. Bob's voice has more depth and feeling and the melody has more feeling as it builds with the song, there is a sense of loneliness that Metallica version is lacking. Just my opinion. No hate meant towards Metallica.
I'm a much bigger fan of Metallica than Bob Sieger but I like Sieger's version better. That sax just hits so much harder than the electric guitar. Though nothing compares to hetfields voice.
My Beautiful Mom loved Bob Seger, she really enjoyed this song. When it came out, I recall, Mom saying she would want it played at her funeral. I can picture my Mom riding her Sporter, ( Harley) with Bob Seger blaring as she curses down the highway!. I LIVE YOU, MOM. I miss YOU SOOOO VERRRY MUCH.
I was 20 riding 1100 miles on motorcycle to VA Beach VA to report for duty(Navy). Pulled in to cafe sat down at my table tired and that song starts to play...I'm 64 now, I'll never forget that day.. that song etched in my memory.
you weren't on your way to miramar? lol
About 2 miles home every day to and from school listening to this song my dad used to play the song when I was five now I’m 22 years old
61 and love those kind of humble, quiet memories that define big parts of our souls. In the eighties when Bob really started to get big I was not a fan but as time has gone by his songs mean a lot to me.
Night moves late 70 s
Im a navy brat. My dad was a naval Aviator. Im 65 so not far ahead of you! I love this song.
The year was '97, I was roll'n east bound on I-80, on a Sacramento to Rockford NY run.
Roll'n through Omaha at 2am, I pushed in the cassette tape and turned up the volume.
Thank you, truckers!
I have the most respect for our truckers. My father drove all my life.
I am with you on that long nose pet 425 cat cover wagon behind me Seger in the tape player foot to the floor hauling ass
The song at the beginning says "east of omaha"
@@MitchelKlassen-nc8io Yes. I pushed the cassette into the stereo just before crossing the river.

Miss you dad
Update: thank you for the support.
That made me tdar up
I used to listen to Johnny cash with my grandpa, death comes for us all only memories last.
That just really got to me, but what better song to honor your Dad!
One heck of a memory. And a tribute to Seger.
@Eric Calkins thank you. You stay strong too

GUYS PRAY FOR SAM AND COLBY THEY BEEN DECEIVED BY DEMONS AND ARE IN DANGER THEY ARE RUclipsRS❤
God wouldnt allow souls to be trapped on earth, its umbilical and never happened all souls belong to God, so you cant sell your soul to the devil❤
And not everyone is a child of God jesus said it himself youre of your father the devil and your desires are to do his will true children of God are the ones who have been born again spiritually and repented from sin❤
So many people say they love God, but most of them never repented from sin and have a personal relationship with him, and love isnt just a feeling love is doing❤
Familiar spirits are demons
well if I'm wrong I wasted nothing because I got peace and joy from him, but if you're wrong you wasted your entire life!! ❤️🎉 And demons love when people believe that lie that God doesn't exist and they love it when people don't know they are there ❤I copy n paste this everywhere❤
And no one talks about repentance, God will never lower his standards to be okay with your sins, sins is very serious in the eyes of God hes holy and righteous and it seperates us from him❤
Demons exist, and the devil comes to steal kill and destroy and uses people to do so❤
Btw telling the demon to stay doesnt do anything unless you have the holy spirit you arent safe.
People: okay please stay this is your place❤
Demon: okay
People: **leaves**
Demon: **Goes with them anyway**
Demons arent gonna make it obvious they are there so yeah.
Demons are fallen angels that uses the form of our passed away loved ones to make us believe ghost exist and the souls of the person we knew still remains here❤❤
Astrology is demonic before my relationship with God I would always do zodiac signs literally just a bunch of sins put into each one I bet if everyone was sinless zodiac signs wouldn't make sense and literally a cover up for demons❤
Hearts are deceitful above all things, listen to God❤
Depression can be a demon you may need deliverance❤
God said unless you're born again spiritually u will not enter the kingdom of heaven also God doesn't judge us by our good works he's judging us by our sins Gods standards are so high he's that HOLY saying oh my God is using Gods name in vain it's called blasphemy ❤
To get to heaven you must believe with all your heart that Jesus died and rose again paid full price for your sins repent and receive his Holy spirit.

Now know you can't save yourself Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life
You have insurance on your house if it ever caught on fire which rarely happens but when it comes to your soul, you play with it like you have forever to make your choice which you don't
150k+ people Die everyday and you never know when it may be you
God spent 9 months shaping and forming you before you were born but only 7 days on earth you're fearfully and wonderfully made beautiful in the eyes of God❤
Don't waste time Hearts are deceitful above all things ask God for wisdom and understanding we are just tiny humans with a 3 pound brain and our imaginations cannot go beyond what we already know❤
Your souls is so valuable both Satan and God want it but it's your choice who you will serve
You serve the devil when you
Lie
Hate
Blasphemy
Disobey
Lazy
Gossip
Gluttony
Wanting what others have cause what God has for you is for you he will never deliver your male to someone else's house
Hate
And unforgivness
And cussing murder and more
And once you die, you're locked with your choice of where you're spending eternity God doesn't care about you doing more good then bad cause he's not judging that God never said that's the way to heaven
So who's lying you or God? Be serious about this❤
God is holy and righteous God is love
So either you would play around because you don't believe hell exist or you don't believe you're going there but the bible makes it very clear
The path to destruction is wide and easy many are on it the path to eternal life is hard and nerrow very few find it and to get into heaven u can only enter through the nerrow gate❤
You dont have to wait until you die to know if youre going to heaven you can know right now 100% where youre going❤
Satan doesnt rule hell this is a myth when lucifer known as satan now became prideful and rebelled against God he took many angels with him Demons are fallen angels we live in a spirital and physical world so hell was made for punishment for satan and his angels and the reason why people go there is because they Align themsleves with the devil in SIN!
Sin separates us from God and the wages of sin is death if youre found guilty with one sin on judgment day you will not enter the kingdom of heaven so the thing is We us humans broken Gods law and jesus paid the fine! So the good news is you dont have to go to hell if you accept him as your lord and savior!
God offered us eternal life as a free gift and you receive it by faith! You dont have to work for it you dont have to pay all you have to do is receive it by faith❤
Don't expect Gods best when you always give him your least don't reject him anymore let him come in and change your life❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

This song isn’t just about a rockstar. It’s about all of us that go out there trying to be the best we can and playing an act. I know I put on a happy face with my family and at work (literally in an airplane all the time flying for business) and people expect 100 percent. I feel like a dog and pony show. "Turn The Page"
On a long and lonesome highway, east of Omaha
You can listen to the engine moanin' out its one-note song
You can think about the woman, or the girl you knew the night before
But your thoughts will soon be wandering the way they always do
When you're riding sixteen hours and there's nothing much to do
And you don't feel much like riding, you just wish the trip was through
Say, here I am, on a road again
There I am, up on the stage
Here I go, playing the star again
There I go, turn the page
Well, you walk into a restaurant, strung-out from the road
And you feel the eyes upon you as you're shaking off the cold
You pretend it doesn't bother you but you just want to explode
Most times you can't hear 'em talk, other times you can
All the same old clichés: "Is that a woman or a man?"
And you always seem outnumbered, you don't dare make a stand
Here I am, on a road again
There I am, up on the stage
Here I go, playing the star again
There I go, turn the page
Out there in the spotlight you're a million miles away
Every ounce of energy you try to give away
As the sweat pours out your body like the music that you play
Later in the evening as you lie awake in bed
With the echoes from the amplifiers ringin' in your head
You smoke the day's last cigarette, remembering what she said
Ah Here I am, on a road again
There I am, up on the stage
Here I go, playing the star again
There I go, turn the page
Ah, here I am, on a road again
There I am, up on the stage
Here I go, playing the star again
There I go, there I go

After hearing this song 🌟 he turned to me and said,,,,, Hey Mom. Why didn't you ever tell me about this awesome music?,,,, Then we just played it again and again. It was an incredible memory I will hold close to my heart umas we sat in his car and blasted this song. ❤. Bob, Segers music,,, Is still touching the 20-year-olds of this generation. BobSeger is just that.good,,,,, 4:01 4:28
im80 still love it
I saw Bob Seger at the Iowa Jam in 77 along with Heart, Marshall Tucker Band, Charlie Daniels, etc. We were just east of Omaha!
I only could dream of seeing Bob Seger, and with Heart. Would have been amazing! Sadly, I was born 2 years later. Heard the shows in the 70s were legendary.
@@heatherc0823 They were indeed legendary!! Memories I will never forget. And saw countless others in the 70's, during their prime.
I appreciate your love towards my music hope you don’t stop liking my aspirations?
This song gets into your very soul!!! Says everything about who we really are down deep where we live!!!
True. I noticed it too.
Some songs just touch your soul... this is one of them ❤
BOB SEGER Forever you never get tired of listening to him Awesome
These songs were reflective of Men, working and taking care of their family and country. Unlike today where everyone wants instance gratification and the lyrics are about male and female genitalia that makes no sense in lyrics. How pathetic are singers of today?
First song i ever hear of him and he already touch my soul 😮 i’m a traveling musician so it hit hard . Just when i thought i had heard just about everything.
Fr, I'm tryna learn the sax solo so I can play it in my dad's friends band
ABSOLUTELY!! It's 2023, this song still stirs up emotions I thought were gone. This song definatly stirs ups the soul.
I'm a R&B Hip hop guy but this is great classic music. You gotta give it up .
Agree man I’m 💯 % same I work in a factory & I love when I find new music
I've been a fan of his songs. The lyrics are all placed in it's rightful place . I'm now 60 yrs old and to me his songs are still very remarkable.
This song is tattooed on my heart with rest of his amazing songs! I listen to them every mile I drove my big truck going across the beautiful US of A back in the day’s!! I love you Bob Seager👊🏻
How can somebody genuinely dislike such a fan-fucking-tastic song?
This man is a legend.
I KNOW RIGHT LOL IF IT AIN'T BROKE ...DON'T FIX IT...Denise Davis

This was my father's favorite song. He has been gone for over 25 years. He comes alive every time our family hears it.
Your Dad had great taste. May he rest in peace until you meet again.
Love this comment. I like your Pop already.
Sorry for your loss God bless you and your family stay strong for your father 👨
God bless him & You! Lucky you--- good memories!
Bob Seger has been a huge inspiration in my life. His music has got me through some hard times. I ❤ YOU BOB!!
Ditto
Same here
Me so too!
Such a down to earth artist thank you for all your songs they have helped me through the years
I LOVE ❤️ BOB SEGER!!
Growing up in Michigan in the 70's and 80's Bob was a standard by which every other musician was measured against.
Detroit soul and honest rock n' roll, nothing better.
And everyone in every rock genre LOVED it :) played at every keg party!!!!
Many of us still listening to this classic song...
“And you don’t feel much like riding
You just wish the trip was through....”
Pretty much sums up this whole year!
Yes Tammy! Bless your heart, Dear...
Touche
Keep on keeping on.. I dare you.
Tammy, yes, but we need to keep moving forward. We need to look out the windshield, not the rearview mirror.
Turn the page. 💯
Anyone who put a thumbs down really needs to rethink their existence. This song is one of the best ever.
This is straight truth! 💯
hes 1 of rhe best
Sadly they are doing thumbs down because they like Metallica version better.
@@maryice6934 im a heavy metal enthusiasts but 8 dont like metallica
I used to listen to the 500 best rock songs every 4th of July as voted by the radio station listeners back in the 80’s and early 90’s and every year the top two songs was Stairway to Heaven number 1 and this song Number 2. The original version by Seger not the remake.
I hope Bob can see this and want to thank him for his contribution to great things
I drove for a living for 40 years my favorite song to listen to while I was driving for miles
@@jorgerocha1184 I Drove Longhaul for Arrow Trucking out of Oklahoma and this was on my playlist with Golden Earring. You gotta have those songs that you pull out of the truck stop at 3a.m. and Haul A** to drop off your load on time.
Just had an older friend die a couple hours ago, and he was a huge Seger fan.
RIP Mark.
Stay strong brother,I have faith in you
Thank u brother
Your friend has found Valhalla need not worry he or she looks after you now
He sorry i misread
Thanks brother

Let me ask you first
Does you mom is obsessed with this song?
I love his person oh thank The Lord!!!
alyssa savoia journey lol
My dad is a Journey fan haha. In fact, Journey and Reo was my first concert. :) MrBiggeorge93
Your mom is awesome!
I mostly didn't realize until after he was gone how wise he was . . .
Anyone Still Wishes They Could Go Back In Time For This Song In 1976🤙
I love all of Bob Seger's songs, this is just one of many that I enjoy listening to over and over again, the sax is just amazing.
This song is his absolute masterpiece and only a handful can compete lyrically if any.
This is one of the best songs to date!!!
Bob Seger was one of top singer songwriters of ALL time. Thank you Bob🥰🌹♥️
You say that twice 😜
One of my favorite songs ever. Feel it in my soul!!
My Mom's true love... she'd play Seger soo much. RIP Mama.
Rian Haryu hi I am jim, just say,n. I luv seger to, I like u comet, cool
Rian Haryu man this comment hits hard. 😢 reminds me of my parents when I was younger on a road trip to Alabama from Texas. Dad would play it so much and sing it. Good times.
Nothing gave my mamma joy more than bog seggar and a cold can of Budweiser. Rip to your mother brother. Times are tough.
ZebulunThe Impaler your mom had good taste :) - times are definitely tough. Thank you for your nice sentiment! BTW - I'm a female (my first name throws ppl off) ;)
Rian Haryu sorry for your loss
Phenomenal song. Gives me goosebumps when that sax kicks in
Saw this band a few times, thier shows were so intimate, it's hard to explain. This music, like 95% of our music from the 70's, will never grow old or die. What great way to spend a Sunday evening.
I agree with you..saw him twice and still hits my heart..this man is the best
1970s music was by far the most creative
What a Sax Solo by Mr. Alto Reed, RIP man!
metallica's vocal preformance is raw and thick, and bob seger's voice has a strong simplicity to it. love love both
One of the greatest
First concert I ever went to was Bob Seger. OH, many years ago. This song still give me goose bumps.
+Mark Humphrey Me Too! plus it's a major walk down memory lane for many reasons. Will always still give me goose bumps too.
saw him too, he ended the concert saying ( cat man doo goodnight everybody)
One of my first concerts, too - in Boston. This song is a classic and yes - love that sax!!!
I was there when they recorded Live Bullet !
Same here! What city was it?
This one I first heard in an apartment in Frankfurt, Germany in 1978, I think it was. The stereo system was all Pioneer, and we were burning some tripping green hash. We heated it and flaked it into a meerschaum pipe and toked it up. The song sounds like a short story come alive in audio. There's a drama to it that is almost Shakespearean, what with its stage imagery. We were on the traveling stage of our own lives, and the wail of the saxophone sounded like homesickness. Some men are foreigners wherever they go.
Right on.
Those were heady times. Good memories.
Don Bagley Amen brother. Cheers to the nomad inside us all.
Hell yeah man. Been there.
Don Bagley that's cool. my grandma is full blood German and she is from Frankfurt, Germany lol
Bob is always great for a moment of clarity. Just one of the best songs ever.
Yes it is and 1 more of his songs I will never get tired of hearing it. Against The Wind
And I think he sold more Chevrolet than anyone else
Oh and I think he's an icon

Had this just running through my head today for no reason. Had to look it up. Haven't heard it in years. They don't write them like this anymore.
The emotions are as thick as a fog. This tune does "things" to me. Very powerful!!
I have spent most of my life making my way all the way down the eastern seaboard in search of a better life for myself and although it's really been a rough trip, I have met thousands of great people along the way and I truly believe that this song explains my life along the way
The sax is absolutely AMAZING in this song, I can't stop listening!
32 years old here! Love this music!!
I'm 72 Bruce and I feel the same way. I pray you got to see him live.
COOL MOM...✌🏼
You my lad make life worth living. I knew you years ago, loved you then. Rediscovered. Thankyou ❤
I remember being 16 yrs ago back in 76 and falling in love with bob seger after hearing THIS song. I bought every single album of his after that and was never disappointed I STILL love this song, it gives me goose bumps his voice is magical
Same. Loved it then, love it now. Oh the memories.
That's very true .me too
I was born in 1960 also. Bob's songs have been part of my life since I heard his music in high school. Long live Bob Seger and all of our Rock!
Same here was 16 when I first heard this song and I ran & bought the album, then every album after. I LOVE this song
Your music never gets old I could listen to it everyday, You are so Awesome to me ❤️
I could never tire of this song.
The saxophone is everything in this song. Begins and ends with the same melody - the embodiment of the whole point Bob's trying to make..the song will always continue. He leaves us wondering if this is a good or bad thing.
As soon as I hear that sax I feel a tunnel opening leading me to memories and emotions that I carry in my soul!!! An unbelievable song!!!
2024 and this song and Bob Seger are still the best! ❤
Amen sister.🥰🥰

LYRICS
On a long and lonesome highway
East of Omaha
You can listen to the engine
Moanin' out his one note song
You can think about the woman
Or the girl you knew the night before
But your thoughts will soon be wandering
The way they always do
When you're ridin' sixteen hours
And there's nothin' much to do
And you don't feel much like ridin'
You just wish the trip was through
See here I am
On the road again
There I am
Up on the stage
Here I go
Playin' star again
There I go
Turn the page
Well you walk into a restaurant
Strung out from the road
And you feel the eyes upon you
As you're shakin' off the cold
You pretend it doesn't bother you
But you just want to explode
Most times you can't hear 'em talk
Other times you can
All the same old cliches
"Is that a woman or a man?"
And you always seem outnumbered
You don't dare make a stand
Here I am
On the road again
There I am
Up on the stage
Here I go
Playin' star again
There I go
Turn the page
Out there in the spotlight
You're a million miles away
Every ounce of energy
You try to give away
As the sweat pours out your body
Like the music that you play
Later in the evening
As you lie awake in bed
With the echoes from the amplifiers
Ringin' in your head
You smoke the day's last cigarette
Rememberin' what she said
Here I am
On the road again
There I am
Up on the stage
Here I go
Playin' star again
There I go
Turn the page
Here I am
On the road again
There I am
Up on the stage
Here I go
Playin' star again
There I go
There I go

He’s always been the love of my life
I can hear his voice in my head as I read they lyrics. Thank you
Thank you
I seen him in Myrtle Beach s.c.and I have a picture of him dancing with me,I was thrilled to say the least, one of the best days of my life, love you Bob 💋
Heard Metallica's cover first and It's been one of my all time favorite songs by them for years. It wasn't until recently that I heard this version, And it's so freaking amazing! Of course a masterpiece cover has to come from a masterpiece original art...
And Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band wrote and made this song famous way before Metallica did. I like both versions. I love both bands. 💕😷
i have same experience with you....
Personally, I think Metallica missed the essence of this song.
Bob's voice has more depth and feeling and the melody has more feeling as it builds with the song, there is a sense of loneliness that Metallica version is lacking.
Just my opinion. No hate meant towards Metallica.
Needs a better music video
I'm a much bigger fan of Metallica than Bob Sieger but I like Sieger's version better. That sax just hits so much harder than the electric guitar. Though nothing compares to hetfields voice.
My Beautiful Mom loved Bob Seger, she really enjoyed this song. When it came out, I recall, Mom saying she would want it played at her funeral. I can picture my Mom riding her Sporter, ( Harley) with Bob Seger blaring as she curses down the highway!. I LIVE YOU, MOM. I miss YOU SOOOO VERRRY MUCH.
