If you really want a 2021 Fortuner, go for the 4x4 variant instead, or if price is an issue, you should get a 2018-2020 base variant since it has more features than the new one. The 2021 Fortuner base model is nothing more but a cash grab and you will definitely feel shortchanged. If you really want a new car at this similar price point, just choose from the Montero, Terra, Everest and MU-X.

Nothing special... Parang bumili ka lang ng old model na brandnew. Sa interior halos walang nabago, sa front naman G variant walang foglight. TOYOTA pineperahan niyo nalang mga tao. Ang daming niyong kalaban na brand na sobrang hightech na pero kayo walang nilalabas na something special. Yung mga naka 2019 model di mag tatagal may mga lalabas na accessories na kamukha ng facelift nitong bagong model. Parang pangalan lang binabayaran na realiable kuno, pero ang suspension sobrang tagtag. This is just my opinion. Hit like kung agree kayo!

With that price you get way more updated features and specs from other brands. Toyota is still a reliable car tho but you get to pay for the brand not for the updatd features.

@@bathiya01 Terra is insanely good right now. But if you really want bang for the buck and dont mind chinese brands, Geely Askarra is definitely the best. Geely despite being a chinese brand is a good brand, they own Volvo.

Go for the Nissan Terra VE. High HP and Torque plus very comfortable ride. AD did a review of the older version and even back then AD said it has the best ride for a mid size suv.

The base models of other brands already have features that the V variant of the Fortuner lacks. I'm still going to buy it because I trust that it'll last the longest, but come on, Toyota. Give us what we deserve. 3rd row seat pa lang na di folding flat, tinalo pa kayo ng Xpander.

My father has a friend who bought one and the sunroof leaked when it rained he took it to Ford and said it would be fix in 2 weeks but when he got it back the door was damage so he complained and fix it for free but they got a door from a donor car and had to cut it because of the door gap. When he got it home he said the sunroof still leaked when it rains and Ford said that he should park it in a garage. That’s the most stupid excuse I’ve every heard plus your replacing a door but u have to cut it?

Just bought a Fortuner Manual Transmission 2021( i love manual cars 😁)
Pros.
1. Stability Control and Traction Control(life saver) not available on MT lower models
2. Apple and android car play
3. Fuel Economy
4. Good power, quiet engine
5. Back camera
Cons
1. No fog light
2. Manual adjustment Aircon
3. Bouncy ride 😁
4. No roof rail
5. 3rd seat side adjustable
Expensive yep some other brand models have better to offer but it's a toyota and Safety is first 😍.

They remove the foglamp and simple accesory,tapalodo..but still its expensive.the price1.7M,u can see that in mux,with complete features,foglamp etc..
Sasabihin na naman ng iba na mas mura ang maintenance and parts.. Well to tell you frankly, if you bought this base variant parang binayaran mo na lang din yung na save mo on maintenance and etc.. an overpriced car for what it offers.. Parang bumili ka ng hybrid na altis.. yung masasave mo sa gas, binayaran mo in advance dahil ang laki ng difference ng non hybrid sa hybrid.. basically almost the same spec.. hundreds of thousand i think..
Mararamdaman mo lang ang reliability at “extra cost” ng toyota if you are planning to keep it for at least 10 years. Other vehicle brands deteriorate easily after 5 years of warranty. And parts do come cheaper on toyota.
@@claytonmarkespinosa2423 you still paid for an underspec car.. you can argue that it is cheaper in the long run, but you paid for an underspecced car upfront so basically same2 lng.. bakit sa ibang bansa competitive nman features na inooffer nila? i think Toyota in general is good, but Toyota PH offerings are not.. well, we can't really blame them.. Toyota still sells so much compared to the next closest competitor.. 😅

UTE segment po.. although number 1 pa rin hilux doon in terms of sales, the offering/specifications of their hilux in australia competes with the competition.. feature per feature they try to match other brands.. and they are closely priced.. unlike dito 1.8m(correct me if im wrong) ang conquest, ayaw pa bigyan ng leather seats.. really? i was shocked why conquest, a top of the line pick up truck offering of toyota ph does not come with leather seats.. you can't really bring up that they want durability in the long term kasi yung hilux nila sa ibang bansa naka leather eh.. when they are not too dominant in one country, they try to compete😅.. enlighten my thoughts on this nlng po.. toyota is a good brand, but(for me at least) i think tinipid nila ang Filipino buyers to make a larger income.. well we cant really blame them, why change something that is not broken, dba?.. basta toyota kasi automatic ''Matibay".. matibay nga tinipid ka na man.. when you say mas mahal or mura, relative kasi yan sa features na inooffer.. tulad for example a 1.5m car without leather seats, back up. camera and etc.. vs a 1.6m car na completos rekados na.. leather seat, 360 view camera, all.. safety techs.. mas. mura per. price. yun 1.5m pero. kung iisipin mo. talaga mas mura yung 1.6m kung kwentahin mo lahat ng feature niya.. at some. point kasi, parang brand nlng yung binibili mo.. well toyota earned it thru decades of good cars na man.. can't really complain.. 😅.. sorry sir, just my sentiments on this..

@@mushimushimushi9176 being the base variant doesn't have to be that BARE. It doesn't even have the recirculation function for the A/C, no rear wiper/washer, no ABS/EBD and drum brakes for the manual LS, no Electronic Stability Control, etc.

@@mushimushimushi9176 the fact that it gets VSC makes it miles better and safer than the pre-facelifted 4x2 G and V trims. Being an owner of a mu-X and Isuzu fan, it really is hard to recommend the base LS and 1.9 RZ4E due to the lack of ESC, totally unacceptable for a big family oriented SUV that costs 1M+.

Yes there are some chinese brands like chery tiggo 8 and geely okavango which is a 7 seater.. at 1.3M, you will get a lot of tech and safety features compare to this fortuner. the problem is the stigma with the chinese brands
I think the problem with the chinese brand is the fuel consumption. Lalo na dito s Pinas medyo mahal ang fuel...

AD & Caco, you might want to consider a comparo between this and the 2021 Montero Sport GLS. Price difference is just 5k so those two should be just on par with each other.

My toyota fortuner is about 6 years now and maintained personally and not at "CASA" until now it is running smooth without any problems and it still runs like brand new.

This fortuner is just a refresh to gain more sale using this OLD body frame so they don't have to give discount, In fact they increased the price and this refreshed model is a down grade for its price compare to 2019 version. i'll just wait for its all new generation next year.

Only they ads reverse cam bibeam LED and the frot face lift and the tail light signals sa group namin madami ang madismaya bakit ganon ang mga dinagdag at inalis and one of my friend here naka bili sya nyang 2021 and he compared it to my 2019 and he was very disappointed ng nalaman nya na ganon pala mga inalis hehehe di natin alam ano ang naisip ni toyota why they do that setup

Hmmm....for my opinion for 1.7 million is not worth it this car should be only 1.4 or 1.5 million and honestly for Me the folding mechanism of 3rd row is its ok for me and I'm not being "ma arte" other people just being "ma arte" and the Q is the most worth it in terms 4x2 PPV :)

Any news about the 2021 Isuzu DMax and MUX?
Early is February,possible released date March or April,the mu-x has limited old stock right now,if no more old units then the all new mu-x will arrived together with the d-max.
The suspension is still the same, bouncy, as per caco, and the price is somewhat expensive. Just my opinion, but still, yes bouncy as per experience...

toyota should have lent out the Q or LTD variants of new fortuner. imo, yun yung totoong facelifted/upgraded fortuner. underwhelming yung g at kahit v. hindi sana ganon karaming negative feedback kung Q or LTD pinapareview ng toyora.

The mu-x base is bare but 1.3m price tag is enough compare to fortuner base model 1.7m,the 400k difference is big.

Aside from the other flaws, my biggest question is, why do they insist in folding the 3rd row chairs that way? It's eating up space.

@@glenndelacruz2906 Oo, per yung small space above, below and side nung folded seat, mahirap na gamitin yun lalo na if one big bulk item. Nung Wednesday bumili kami ng office chair and stand fan tas yung grab namin yun yung car, nahirapan kami ipasok kasi nakaharang yung chair sa gilid.
