That's actually really smart to wash it, dry with the revair and THEN retwist. I imagine tangling and shedding was SO minimal.

Fr! I stopped braiding my hair after I tried twist I don’t why past me hated them so much 😩 they’re so good
PERIODT!!! I switched teams last year cause my loose natural hair could NEVER move like these twists and locs. Plus I’m IMMUNE to the rain, to sweat, to humidity - it’s my elite loc’d life from now on
I was loc’d for YEARS. They were beautiful!! I cut them off this February. I missed my loose hair and just needed a change. Locs are wonderful. But please don’t think that they don’t require regular upkeep.
I had strangers challenging me as to whether my locs were real, and all mine as they were ankle length. I inspired sooo many sistahs to loc up.I took phenomenal care of them. If you do decide to go with them, love on them and don’t look at them as free pass to get lazy and they will reward you greatly. Your hair is so thick and pretty, your locs would turn heads!!
It's the energy for me and the Tina clips at the beginning had me rollingggg 😆😆🙌🏾🙌🏾

It really issssss. Like even when I think about doing another style. I’m just like I can literally do it ON TOP of the mini twist and have a new style. Take that style out and still have the mini twists as a style. I think we need a club for the permanently in transition people. Cause I like the mini twist side.

I can’t loc my hair but I love twists. Been on the twisting journey since April of this year and it make’s everything so much easier. I just re-twisted my hair this Saturday. Medium size this time and I won’t take them down, I’ll wash in these from now on and re twist right after washing to avoid matting and tangles. Your hair looks great by the way.

I have locs (8 years in) but i remember exactly how i started.... with the same joy you express with those twists! I couldn't get enought of them. So beautiful and versatile!! You may come to the loc side eventually, when you're ready,.. or not, if you don't want to, but whatever the case keep enjoying your twists. Your routine is on point. I just shampoo and refreshed my hair. I actually prefer doing it that way. I divided my hair in 4 sections and would randomly retwisted them as I felt like it. If I needed to leave the house I wouldn't look crazy

So when you wash n retwist do you keep them In again until wash day?
I was unsure about starting microlocs since I’m a wash and go girl so I wore mini twists from May until I was sure about locing in July.
I wanted to make sure that I wouldn’t miss my loose hair but I honestly didn’t. Every time I took down my twists, I retwisted my hair within a day or so.
I finished my install on July 15th and am just now interlocking because I wanted to be sure sure 😂
Wowwwwwww. What was your process for deciding the sizing and choosing micro locs specifically?
@@TruleyTalentedBeauty I fell in love with microlocs after watching Keke J’s loc journey. I was tired of my hair and realized that I could wear it out like I usually do with much less effort if I did microlocs.
When I finally decided to loc, I watched tons of RUclips videos trying to decide on the size and grid. Ultimately, I used a combination of QueenEleem’s (her math for sizing) and mahoganyknots’ (her parting) install videos to figure out my parting and sizing. My grid isn’t perfect but I love the journey so far.

the style is cute, girl! i love mini twists and love the _idea_ of washing my hair with the twists still in, but my strands like to cuddle up so 😅 the tangles and matting i experience don’t make it worth it for me. they’ll lock up in a second if i let ‘em!

@TruleyTalentedBeauty thanks for the fun video! To prevent the roots from locking up try plaitting the roots down some. Takes longer to do but you will save you time and hair on the back end.

Love it! Def trying this! This is a great alternative to enjoy loc convenience without the commitment because I will straighten at some point come December. I've never done mine this small tho❤ I use banding to get wavy mini twists that are medium size, but this is a great idea!
