You know what sis I LOVE this. Im struggling so much with my hair and you know I always do mini twists but I don’t wash my hair in them, I’m afraid they will matt up. I was just about to do mini twists again so I might actually try this again.. would be perfect for extending the time I can have the twists in💕xx
Be careful if you do. I tried this before and my hair was sooooo tangled when I decided to finally take my mini twist out. It was terrible
I've never had matting even when my hair was much shorter but it's so individual with these things 😫but using this was method is really a lifesaver. Can't wait to see yours! I'm really looking to protective style ALL winter lol 😘

If I did this my mini twist would turn into locs 😭😭 I would have to take them out completely and wash and detangle. Also I cannot stand frizzy roots with my mini twist

How quickly your hair locs is so individual, I know people who started their locs with twists and 9 months in the hair was still just twist and others who started to loc and bud within weeks.
Mines too. Every single time I put my hair in twist within a week. Dead serious my hair starts interweaving and its annoying. I cannot keep an individual twist hairstyle.
They look good. They remind me of kinky twist .
Question because I would truly like to do this. I've been doing these twist for the past month now and I love them. But would your hair not get tangled if you wash it in the twists? Or like get matted? I know for me personally I have a big problem with that so I'm very scared to this. My hair dreads quicker than anything which is why my styles only lädt a week before I have to wash and detangle them. Please let me know what you think 💕

omg I love mini-twists but after 2 weeks my scalp is screaming for a wash and all that hard work for 2 weeks issa no from me! Next time I'm gonna try washing with the twists in..hopefully my hair doesn't loc lol

My hair still got tangled smh, I wore them for a month and did wash day with them in. I then did the banding method and let it dry over night. I took the twist out to redo them and my hair was tangled and I had a lot of shedded hair.
Use African Pride Prepoo and/or oil to untangle twists.
I have this line. Both the deep conditioner & the conditioner. I’ve been wanting to use the conditioner as a leave in but I’m scared 😭😹 are you sure it’s alright to use rinse out conditioners as leave ins ?
Jeannine x try it on a small back quadrant of your hair for the week and see how it acts (if it flakes etc)... then you'll know how it will work on your hair
Twisted up my hair last night and it's already fuzzy so...

That really depends on the person's hair so I couldn't say. I wouldn't do more than 5 weeks, I'm probably only doing 3-4 myself.
How do you choose which hair products are safe to use? I recently read about a study done on the toxic ingredients found in black hair products & damaging health effects. I threw out most of my products as they were on the list of brands with toxic ingredients but now I'm so sceptical about what to buy

I did to read the ingredients and a lot of them that I had was on the list of bad hair products and I throw mones out too but it's so overwhelming cuz it's so much reading but in the trash, all those in her video that she used they went in the trash all of them

I want to try mini twists, but I feel like my hair sheds more in small braids/twists. I can’t leave in any style more than 3 weeks without my roots clumping now. When my hair was shorter, I could go 4-6 weeks with braids. Now, my hair ain’t having it. Not sure what changed.
I would never wash my hair with it twisted or braided some of the shampoo or conditioner can remain in the Twist and you don't know so I have never tried but it crossed my mind but I would never do it
I agree! I tried it once and my hair got so matted it took me forever to detangle it. Never again!

Hey! no I wouldn't.... I'd probably do it by weekly to reduce the chances of long term matting

well yeah, it's mostly just a scalp refresher until you can take the twists out and do a full wash
