I've been using the 3000 micro with a pair of Focal Shape 40's desktop monitors in my office. The 3000 completely disappears in the sound stage. I'm absolutely thrilled with this subwoofer.
Thanks John, it's an achievement to build a good subwoofer, but to build one this compact - that can visually and sonically disappear - is the real deal
Nice job explaining the product and technology. I have not one but two of these because I bought an NAD Masters M10V2 (2 x100WPC) and a pair of B&W 705 S2 speakers. They sound great but below about 60hz they need help. I'm still trying to figure out all of the SVS settings and will have questions for SVS soon. System has a very small footprint but it can bring it on...👍👍
Hello Jay, good question, as Ambeo Max is rated down to 30 Hz. But a separate subwoofer is always a good idea, as bass is notoriously uneven depending on the effects the room is having on a speaker's performance. There are many factors, including whether you need a compact sub like this, or whether sub size is not a factor. You may want to chat with a sales associate and discuss what's important to you: www.gramophone.com/showrooms
How would one wire up two of these to an amplifier? 2x 1:1 RCA cables, one from left PRE, the other from right PRE, and into the LFE port on each sub? (I have a Primare i32). Thanks!
Hi David, you may want to reach out to Primare on your connections query. A brief check of the Primary website for your preamp shows twin sets of pre-outs primare.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/PrimarePRE32DesignBrief.pdf. One would think you have described it just right, two RCA cables from Pre out 2 into the LFE connections on the SVS subs. What I am not 100% sure of is if there is any downside to using both sets of pre outs at the same time, as Pre out 1's will go to your power amp
@@GramophoneMD Hiya, thanks for taking the time to reply! :-) Actually, I have the i32 (integrated), not the PRE32. So just one set of pre-outs I think. So I was kind of assuming that one channel (L/R) would go to each sub's LFE port via a single RCA cable... Cheers!

Hi Juan, both SB-1000 Pro and PB -1000 Pro have speaker level inputs - useful for legacy receivers and amps lacking line level aka subwoofer level outputs. Speaker level inputs take the 30dB or so higher speaker level and cut that to a level the sub's amp can handle safely, converting amplified speaker level back down to line level. Please let us know if you have further questions
Thanks for replying. Yes, apparently the SB1000 Pro is the only option. My Velodyne DD12 has died and I don't know if they can repair it; in case they can't repair it I was looking for an SVS with similar performance (I really like the SB4000). But my Marantz amp doesn't have a Sub Output so spending another 1000 on a new amp just to have that connector it's pointless to me. I'm just hoping my Velodyne comes back to life.. @@GramophoneMD
As an engineer friend commented years ago, "A bigger box is free amplification". If you have size limitations, this sub is really good compared to others, but you can get more output from a larger box

I also have the 705s2 with dual 3000micros! Love this combo…
Get a rel t7x or t9x instead and see which one you like more! Worth a try :)
Thanks for posting this. We hope you enjoy your new subs, and we're here for you if you have questions. Don't hesitate to reach out
Which subwoofer would be good for a compatible soundbar like the sennheiser ambeo max or plus ?
Just interested in a third party sub for those

Missing the review part in this all. Surely no one from SVS will say its not ‘delivering’. Just my 2 cents. Please where is Luke’s reviews 😞😞😞
I’m free to say how I really feel now. Would greatly appreciate your subscription, and thank you for the kind words.

what's the best SVS with speaker level inputs you can buy?

If you don't need the extreme micro size/weight, for the same $900 get the SB2000 which is a higher performer.
