    Man the growing pains of being new parents. It’s amazing when you get to look back when just 5 years feels like a life time. Soak it in guys! And Steph I feel you in the Dory brain lol! My wife and I both have to double and triple check everything these day especially with a toddler.

    I was wondering that should we train legs like bodybuilders?? AS BEING RUNNERS ? HOW INTENSE SHOULD IT BE

      That’s a very good question, I do lots of running and cycling so I don’t tend to do specific ‘leg day’ workouts because I feel I’m already doing so much leg training, and even in the pool I will addd in kicking with fins etc. would be interesting to see Nick’s answer to this one. 👍🏻

      As a triathlete I ussually incorporate 2 strength sessions a week (legs and core only) where I focus on strength so low reps and heavy weight.

      It is a difficult balance at least it was for me, I would still train legs once a week when I was running more but it never felt very intense and my strength was down.

      Don’t train like a body builder, we are runners after all. I prefer to do 2-3 leg sessions a week after my harder runs. They don’t need to be long, maybe 20-45 minutes. And focus on strength, not endurance when lifting. Your running provides the endurance, so let the lifts provide strength and injury resistance 👍🏻

      Sleep is #1. All recovery and building happens during sleep. Sleep, Diet and then training. In that order.

    Nick, food for thought: Fish get their fatty acids from algae. Instead of eating fish oil you could eat algae oil! Then fish don't need to die for a supplement and you can get the fatty acids you need to stay healthy. Alternatives exist everywhere!

    Would you recommend creatine if I am a college distance runner (xc, then 5000m/10000m on the track)? I am trying to build some muscle as I lost a lot of weight a few years ago and working to gain it back but in muscle not too much fat. I also know that if I was stronger I would have more speed too! I do weight sessions 3 times a week but don’t seem to be gaining muscle

    tbh double dipping in the almond better (from a we're all family here standpoint) would be much less potentially dangerous than PUTTING A NUT BUTTER DIPPED spoon in a trusted-to-be-peanut/nut free jar of honey... hope you keep an Epi Pen in that kitchen

    Hey Nick, was wanting to ask what you would recommend and/or take for a joint supplement. Saw your Leadville 100 video and decided to start trail running again after spending years on a bike. Went out for a test run and my knees freaking killed me!!!!! I retired from the Army after 23yrs Infantry and 12 of those were on jump status. Any help would be appreciated!!!! "Go One More"

    Hey Nick! been watching for ages, but always been curious to know, do u run trt or r u natty? ur diet, lifestyle, and training seem A1 to a point where I would genuinely believe you if u said u were natty, but that's a ton of muscle mass to put up the cardio numbers you do. Love the content regardless and plan to keep using BPN to the death of me :)

      I picked up long distance running over the last 6 months. If you do 2 a days and eat enough calories it’s honestly not terribly hard to keep on the weight. I’ve worked up do doing 20+ miles a week and keep around 195lbs. That being said I’m not breaking any distance world records at this weight but I’m plenty fast.

    Timing preworkout is essential - not taking it till actually leaving the house and no other surprises- even though doing things on preworkout is fun but brain is to fast for others not on pre lol
