As someone who doesn't care one way or the other on the whole natural/gear crap, I do know after watching a lot of his videos he never says...
Do what I'm doing and look like me!
He doesn't claim either way to be on gear, with that being said, what he is offering is a look into what it takes to look like this/close to it, with gear or not. So it still serves its purpose for a general layout of what it takes to be at a high level of fitness.
And go look up the Natural Bodybuilding Competitions...they have guys who look like Nick or better and are natural. I'm not saying he is, but you haven't dont much studying on the fitness world if you think that bodies close to this aren't possible without gear.
Again, not defending him, I could care less, but I just wouldn't under value what the human body is capable of. Plenty of natural lifters out there who look like statues.
Either way, what he does daily is the route to a high level of body composition, maybe less or more depending on you and I guess "gear" if you wanna take it.
Still...gear or no gear, if you do half of what he is doing you still won't look anything like him.
This is a common bodybuilders day, with or without the supplements.
Take a breath...you're gonna be ok either way. No need to have melt downs...

I'm not sure if you'll answer but:
Have you ever gotten quad tendonitis? How do you mediate that? I've been doing incline cardio for years now and I'm assuming going heavy with squats and doing an hour of incline post workout for years finally starting to take a toll on me. I switched from an hour to 30 minutes of cardio as of a few months ago but on my two leg days I started to go for sets of 315 for 8 and my knees haven't been liking it and of course I keep pushing it. I backed off anything quad related for 2 weeks (so 4 leg days) and the pain subsided but every time I'd hit legs again and do cardio, you can just feel the knees getting hammered on the treadmill. I think I'm gonna take cardio off for a week and see what the difference will be. I lowered my kcals by 430 so shouldn't worry about getting fat but I just like feeling healthy.

      4 phases( 1 Isometric, 2 isotonic(heavy and slow, 3 dynamic and energy storage, 4 sport specific/plyo/cardio)
      Example:
      Phase 1: 2 weeks Spanish squats at 60 degrees 4 *45s, SL RDLs 4 x10, step through lunges(keeping iso load) 4 x 10.
Phase 2(can take 8 weeks): load the tendon 3-4 sets of 6-8 reps
Heel elevated squats, knee extension, single leg squats
Phase 3: introduce plyo tasks slowly assess tendon response. Add 1-2 tasks per day with heavy loading done on other days still. Start with lower depth/impact and ramp up intensity. Jump rope is a great easy starter
Phase 4: build to your goals and give24-48 hours after a push to assess response.

    • @thorshammer5134
      @thorshammer5134 Год назад +7

@@MrTripsJ I’m kind of in the camp on thinking he’s on gear, not a ton. Probably just low does HRT or something. People also don’t realize that even if he is, he still works insanely hard. It doesn’t really discredit him.
People need to just realize supplements outside of gear don’t really provide that much. Stick with creatine, protein supplements, then a good multivitamin. There’s not really a secret to it besides genetics and hard work.
I’d say the recovery times plus his photos of when he was in the military make him pretty suspicious but we’ll probably never know. The head of a supplement company has the job of maintaining and marketing a great physique. His physique isn’t that insane it’s just the balance between running as much as he was and the muscularity/ strength maintained. Particularly during the Leadville training. Not so much the standard running 20 miles a week. I’m 6’3” at 200 lbs -205lbs, around 10-12% body fat. I do not track what I eat and I literally walk 20k steps a day at work. Then I’ll lift and usually run 1-3 miles . I’d say I’m in the neighborhood of burning 3500 calories a day. Maybe a little more or less depending. I eat what I want because I can, always been athletic and was a 4 sport athlete.
My strength is very good and I’ve been lifting since I was in 8th grade. I don’t think people understand the effects of building up a long term base foundation of strength and physical health. Especially at a younger age. I’ve been doing it now for about 17 years and your body gets very good at maintaining what it has and getting you back to that point through muscle memory even if you take breaks.
Point is I think he may be on gear, not much, he works his ass off, is still full of good info and people are jealous.
